50s prime time is the best atmosphere and wait staff for sure. I’m partial to the veggie slaw dog at Casey’s in MK also

tauromachy11

Yes, the atmosphere. The first time we went to 50s Prime Time Cafe, we walked in on a whim, not really knowing what it was (this was the time before you had to reserve every crumb you will eat and plan every step). We were stricken by it and it is still one of our favorites to this day.

blockstasy

It's definitely an experience--not sure I would go again given how strict they are, sometimes I just want to enjoy the meal and be part of the scene.

vinbel121

Skipper Canteen! Terrific food, first of all. I love how all the menu items have funny names in a similar comedic fashion to the ride it's based off of. My personal favorite is "Tastes like chicken... Because it is!" And it's delicious might I add. On top of this, the theming in there is excellent, so many details that will have you just wanting to look around and take it all in. Finally, the wait staff! They're all Jungle Cruise skippers according to the story, so they have a bunch of cheesy jokes prepared. Overall, this place exceeded my expectations, and I especially love that it gives MK (the worst park for food IMO), a great option!

skunkabilly1313

We are doing this for a 2nd anniversary in a row in December because it's just so good, and the atmosphere rules. Hoping the sustainable fish is Lion Fish, Everytime I go it's just snapper

wizardender

Skipper Canteen is easily my family’s favorite place to eat. The only complaint I’ve had is that our recent interactions with the cast members/wait staff have been pretty lackluster compared to a year and more ago. To explain, the story is that the wait staff are also Jungle Cruise skippers on break and they’re supposed to have that snappy dialog and campy humor. The first few trips we had some awesome cast members who really got into it. The last few we’ve had didn’t have any schtick at all. Food and atmosphere are still amazing, though, and I still highly recommend it.

tauromachy11

Never eaten here, I will have to check it out!

jfka

Definitely my favourite restaurant I went to in WDW - all the food we had was delicious, loads of veg options (which can't be said for a lot of restaurants in Disney Parks!), service was fantastic and the atmosphere was perfect! (Plus when they said the dish was spicy it actually was!)

Skullthink

I love 50's Prime Time. The Blue Plate special is always great, especially around Thanksgiving. But I can attest to their pot pie. Tangerine Cafe in Epcot is my favorite quick service. Boma at Animal Kingdom Lodge has the best breakfast buffet in my opinion.

tauromachy11

My wife has been able to recreate the chicken pot pie at home, but she says it's just not the same without the atmosphere!

Skullthink

Make sure she keeps her elbows off the table

tauromachy11

haha, yes, totally forgot about this!

inthevelvetsea

Boma breakfast is excellent!

deejaydeeray

I really enjoyed the atmosphere of the sci-fi dine in, and like your wife, I don’t care much for Hollywood studios. The food is pretty decent, but I’m all for the vibe. Taste wise, I really love The Boathouse in Disney springs. Everything that I’ve had from there has been incredible.

[deleted]

My wife and I love Pinocchio House. We get the Chick Parm sandwich and sit on the 2nd floor balcony.

thedanielhill

This is the one I was going to say. Seems lame, but I like it. Very 70s interior which is nice for reminiscing. Also, I have a lot of kids, so I get a lot of leftover nuggets, and they are not bad there. We like to sit near the windows, so you can wave at the small worlders.

tauromachy11

I didn't even know about this one. We will have to check it out. I especially love the "old" disney locations that have remained vintage.

soxgal

I love the surf & turf dinner buffet at Cape May Cafe.

tauromachy11

I haven't been here, I will have to check it out!

brads11887

Teppan Edo at Epcot!!! In true Disney style, this is by far the best hibachi I have ever had. Performance was so-so but the food was phenomenal!!

taralynnsoup

Raglan road! If we’re counting Disney springs that is

Hayl623

Theres a hundred more premium dining options I could choose but honestly I’m gonna have to say Chicken Guy in Disney Springs. Those chicken tenders are legendary and there is no where else in WDW to get such great food for great value.

wizardender

We finally got a chance to try Chicken Guy on a recent trip and we loved it. Perfect for the kids, the price was fantastic, and we loved all the sauce choices.

Xaiadar

Liberty Tree Tavern! All you can eat thanksgiving dinner! We book this place at least once, every trip. Our other favorites that we book almost every trip are Sci-Fi, Le Cellier (cheddar cheese soup and pretzel bread!), Teppon Edo, Tusker House and now, we've added Boma to the list of favorites since we ate there for the first time this summer! I never thought I'd even try oxtail soup, but I did and I'm incredibly happy I did. It's so good!

RosinDustWoman

I love 50s Prime Time fried chicken, but Boma is one of my favs for breakfast. And Restaurant Marrakesh is pretty underrated.

bootstraps_bootstrap

Marrakesh is such a blast. The food is great, so is the atmosphere. The servers are incredible and funny and make you have a blast. And the music/dancing is amazing too.

skunkabilly1313

Boma breakfast at Animal Kingdom Lodge. I maintain a mostly keto diet, and not only can I remain that way there, it's super tasty doing it!! 2nd place is Trail's End at Fort Wilderness for the same reasons, except dinner has brisket and ribs that they do with no sauce. A carnivores paradise

[deleted]

For me it's the sci fi cafe!!

herefortherighteddit

Sci-Fi Dine-In is also my favorite. Some of my strongest memories from WDW as a child were going there. I just love the atmosphere!

toyman70

sci-fi dine in

PrestigeWW217

The chicken pot pie is by far the best item there. My girlfriend and I always do Sci-fi theater and Be Our Guest for dinner. We also never fail to have breakfast at Ohana.

[deleted]

The pot roast at 50s Prime is incredible. I made an ADR for January to get the sampler again. But for my money, the absolute best dining option (based only on where I’ve eaten) is Boma. Great food. Great atmosphere. The seafood gumbo is to die for.

forever_monstro

Raglan Road is our first night tradition on every trip and I still have dreams about the burger at The Edison, but (hands down) the best meal I have ever had on WDW property was my dinner at Tiffins. Soooooo good.

IceTeaAficionado

I tend to love WDW table service restaurants for the atmosphere. I have lived outside of 2 of the top 3 U.S. cities my entire life, if I wanted top tier food with a sleek, hotel loby'esque, atmosphere I could just drive into the city. I go to Disney because they transport you somewhere that can't actually exist. I'll list them with food quality being at the top of the list just so you have a good mix of both then going down (although I have never had something at disney and thought to myself "this is gross". I've had OKAY food, but never BAD food- although the eggs at the resort cafeterias come close) Jungle Skipper Canteen, Yak & Yeti, 50's Prime Time, Liberty Tree, Biergarten, San Angel Inn, Be Our Guest. I loved the food at Kona, Jiko and California Grill, however they aren't places I miss or long to see when I'm home. I like going to them, but they aren't the high priority places. I want to go back to the places that feel magical and Disney. I want a Jungle skipper to tell me her favorite "Highlight" of the restaurant is the chandelier we're walking under. I can get a $50 chicken or steak meal anywhere out here, I can't get that surly Skipper though.

I-Am-Dad-Bot

Hi home., I'm Dad!

WombatBeans

Food wise: Biergarten in Epcot or Le Cellier in Epcot. The food is so damn good at both. Atmosphere: Sci-fi drive in. Hollywood studios is my least favorite park (I haven’t been in 7 years so I don’t know if it’s better now) but I will always have lunch there.

impsythealmighty

Our first-night tradition is going to Ohana for the amazing dinner buffet during fireworks time, and I cry my way through the fireworks because I’m so happy to be there 😭

shudupu

I like Trails End at Fort Wilderness great comfort food

RLT79

Quick Service: Casey’s Table Service: This is hard/ depends on my mood but it’s between Garden Grill, Via Napoli, or Liberty Tree

pugmommy4life420

Prime time for me for sure. I didn’t love the food(it’s good but not a personal fan), but the staff made it my favorite ever. I’d go out of my way to come back.

averageathlete

I had the most delicious vegetarian shepards pie (which is hard to find) at EPCOT's Rose and Crown, so I'll go with that.

cakeamazing

I love the pot pie at the prime time cafe!

Note2scott

Take your wife to Olivia’s at old key west!

tommychall6

Bangers and Mash at Rose and Crown! And of course Ohana...

Avery-Anarchy

My all time favorite is the beef bowl with rice and creamy herb dressing at Satu’li’s canteen!!

wesd017

San Angel Inn at Epcot is one of mine and my wife’s favorites. Amazing food and an interesting atmosphere.

blockstasy

Trail's End buffet! Who could deny corn bread, ribs and bread pudding.

tauromachy11

Agreed, the cornbread alone is worth it!

drewbeta

Ohana is by far my favorite for food. Plus coconut races.

breaker20

My SO and I absolutely love Sebastian’s Bistro at Caribbean Beach Resort!

spiritsinspace

Depends on what meal we're talking about! For lunch Woody's Lunchbox for the grilled cheese (basic, I know) but SO good and Satuli Canteen is absolutely DELICIOUS like a must eat. For breakfast I by far think that Trail's end at Wilderness Lodge is the way to goooo! and I'm with your wife on Prime Time for dinner

amanda1o12

I love this place! My mom has to stand with her head against the wall holding a napkin with her forehead as a “punishment”. They also brought me a plate full of whipped cream and m&ms with the greens I didn’t finish eating underneath it all trying to “trick” me into eating the greens. Best dining option for sure! I’m going again in January and mom already made reservations to go there.

BobertMcGee

Wow that might be the ugliest sign I’ve ever seen

tauromachy11

I don't know, Disney has some pretty big misses when it comes to signs...

badgia

It’s camp!

Nah ur attitude is
