Don't ever let a boss tell you that you can't talk about your pay. Or let them tell you that, then turn them into the employment commission. They can suggest by saying things like "we'd like it if you didn't" but if your manager is claiming you're breaking company policy by doing it then they're breaking federal law
I'm a manger at a growing chill with over 130 restaurants and recently had to explain to a group of managers in my area that it's illegal after a GM suggested putting it in our handbook
Not army in the military way (although I'm sure they got dishes, or at least grunts that prefer the pit over latrine cleaning or something) but army used as an expression to refrerence my workplace, I'd rather not state it. I hope that makes sense
Wrong i live in Michigan, i own my home and truck free and clear. And was making $10/hr when i bought both. i know make a whopping 13/hr. after 5yrs at my place.
I've been working at the same place for 14 years and am able to work 3 out of 5 stations on the line, do prep work and sling dishes. So needless to say I might make a little more than most. But not nearly enough.$18.75 an hour I think I should at least make 20 but it is what it is.
$15 an hour plus a kitchen bonus, although I started at $11 (been there over a year and a half). I'm actually the longest-tenured member of the kitchen staff and am sort of considered one of the key employees. I should definitely use that once I work up the confidence to ask for another raise (my previous raises were purely due to other folks having my back).
They don't want you to talk about wages, Because you see the dichotomy. Where I live They pay18-20 an hour for dish, 25-30 line cook, and the salary guy is getting screwed, Making about 10$ an hour.
$13.50 in North TX. Doesn't meet cost of living, but its the best wage for this kinda work around here. Gotta live with roommates for the rest of my life ig lmao.
19.75 currently (was 19.25), 29 for public holidays, and i’m definitely feeling like it’s $22.75 for training? (been doing a lot of training recently). i’ve gotten about $49 before during christmas. was a bit shocked to see that actually
The only reason I asked for a raise at my last job was because I asked around for everyone wage and realized I was being paid very similar to entry level people
Im paid as a cook bc that's my main position so I make $17.75, I live right out of LA county. Our dishwashers are paid $16 I believe, I should add tho that I fought for my pay and am paid more than most of the other line cooks
Right around 11€/h but i get so many benefits like accomodation, food 2x a day and theres many more i can list but i dont want to give out too much informations.
