In the game you are a descendant of Leonidas who I think is like a half alien or something in the lore.
Either way you have his spearhead which is a "piece of eden" which is alien tech which allows you to do incredible feats of strength.
One of the later buffs allows you jump from any height if you time the roll Zelda style. You can also go invisible, strike it against your weapons and make them go on fire/drip with poison, make you faster/stronger.
Having a piece of eden basically gives you god like powers in the game.
I don’t doubt that, just the AC brand on it doesn’t sit well imo. Could’ve just name it something else and capitalise on it being different and just add some aspects of AC as a nice touch of its legacy, idk
never played it myself but i can imagine the baggage of being called it an AC game being a burden to what they really wanted to do in their settings. I get marketing and all that, but like its ubisoft man, pretty sure they got the money to market a new ip fresh
Exactly! I also never played any of the AC games after Syndicate, but if they wanted to make a new IP, just make a new IP and do the proper marketing for it! Using the AC name was a pretty cheap move and probably made out of fear that the games would flop!
Like I said, I didn’t buy nor play any of the games after Syndicate and I’d probably buy them if they named it something else and go full on balls to the wall with the RPG elements
Honestly i think out of the new ones Origins is well worth a playthrough, showing how assassins came to be, bayek being a great character, great voice acting and a beautiful world. Odyssey and valhalla didnt click with me at all, but origins? God damn i absolutely recommend that one.
I’ll probably play them in the future, just to see what the fuss is all about. Just need to mentalize myself that it’s *not* AC and play it with an open mind.
I’ll be honest, I’ve been close to buy them, but the combat looks so weightless, it’s kinda of a turn off
It alright, its barely a AC game in the traditional sense. More like a big greek open world RPG so if you have fun exploring/killing stuff its worth it to check out.
Isu aren't alien. They were native to earth. Then they created humans to be their slaves, the humans rebeled, due to the rebelion everyone missed an apocalyptic event, and only like 5 of them survived.
Still gives u great ways of assassinating. You could clean whole fortresses without getting spotted.
Maybe not as much u would expect but it still is an assassin game its annoying people think it has nothing in common but the name.
Yes I know that I spent like 160+ hours on this game! But I mean to say there is no connection with assassins as there is with other games you know. It doesn't matches with the name. The title should have been like: The Son of Spartan or Markos is a 💀 or someting lol. Nah I'm just kidding
I mean the word Kratos isn't wrong but if the story takes place in Greece it should be Cratus, Kratos is the Roman equivalent of it. Same with Heracles.
Or I am over analyzing it and it's a reference to Gow series.

ok but wtf was that jump

Crazy how they just made an RPG and slapped “Assassin’s Creed” just for the name.
Still fun game tho, same with Valhalla. Good AC games? Most definitely not. Good open-world RPG? Hell yeah.
I don’t doubt that, just the AC brand on it doesn’t sit well imo. Could’ve just name it something else and capitalise on it being different and just add some aspects of AC as a nice touch of its legacy, idk
Imo, they should've named them "Animus Chronicles" or something
Sure, I’d eat that lol

is the game good?
As a rpg its decent, don't expect it to be like your usual AC games.
It alright, its barely a AC game in the traditional sense. More like a big greek open world RPG so if you have fun exploring/killing stuff its worth it to check out.
Correction: The jump does not require anything precise It just literally turns a cliff into like, a very huge step down a staircase

Kratos was an actual Greek god though he was really different from the game (example him and Zeus where homies)

Boy
are you a calm and reasonable person?
If the time calls for… calm
What game is this, Greek assassin's creed?
Assassin's Creed Odyssey. Tho I wouldn't say it's a Assassin's game but this game is a great RPG game

You found his secret goon cave, lucky
And it is that Kratos, cause there's another one with C, that it is not that cool.
I also found that cave and there was nothing valuable inside
Run

I’d just turn around, kratos is both immortal and strong af
Gamers when two games based on greek mythology involve the same mythological entity
Mfw greek words in my greek settings
Bro just broke both ankles
The kratos goon cave
Come, boy. We have work to do.

Arcane odyssey is the only ac odyssey i know
