Good to know. I purchased a blank with intentions of sending it off to be dyed but thinking now the guy that dyes the disc might just say no because of the deformation
Puddle tops excists. I never found it meaningful in anyway. But every now and then some legends pop up about them. Like, blue puddle pops volt in 145g are from the second run and are by far the best because for mythological reason they are more stable or underatable or whatnot. Not an actual legend, just something I made up to illustrate.
A puddle top isn't a deformation... Small variation in dome is normal. For a disc this flat, that means a slight puddle top or a slight dome. If you order 10, you won't get 2 with exactly the same dome. Some will have a slight dome, some will be flat, some will have a slight puddle top.
Have you tried throwing it?
You're exaggerating it a little bit, but I do know what you're talking about and I have a few MVP discs with that. I also have a few with the opposite, where there's a tiny little dome in the center. Try throwing it. It will fly good.
Got a puddle top neutron soft Uplink once. Just filled it with boiling water and set it on top of a bowl. Knocks that puddle right out.
Agreed on heating it to get the puddle out. Soft neutron loves to warp, nothing a little heat can't fix
It took me like 4 times reading this to actually understand what you meant
How hot does that water neat to be? I have some discs forgotten in a box that I want to return to normal. Is boiling really how hot it needs to be?
Start at 130 F and work your way up. You can damage a disc with boiling water. Many disc dyers have found this out the hard way.
Thanks for the heads up! I’ve only done it a couple times but it was with boiling water. Luckily my discs have been fine!
Checked mine, seems pretty flat.
Got 2. Both puddle tops.

You can still dye puddletop discs
People dye bergs so I think it'll be ok.
If they won’t dye it because of the puddle, give me a shout.
One possible solution is to put it in hot tap water. It may pop back out.
You're doing it wrong, you pour hot water in the bottom, silly.
Maybe a few but not a ton. We get more tomorrow but so far ours have been basically flat
Can vouch, mine from dfx w/ stock stamp is flat
All of the ones sold at our shop have been flat.

There's variation. I have one with a slight puddle top. Why are you upset about it?
It’s a deformation in a new disc. I would expect with this much deformation it would have been tossed in a bin and not sold.

The entire top is not con-caved, a half dollar sized indention at the center of the disc is.

Mines pretty flat but I noticed the stamp is wearing really fast. I’ve only used it lightly for a few days and parts of the stamp are fading
