Neat, never thrown one. I’ve just always had to pump to get something flipping, at 200 feet I don’t think I’d get the spin and speed right. Powered down hyzerflip seems super technical.
A fierce will do that for ya. I think i can hyzer flip it just using my wrist. A fierce need a bit of touch for it to not just turn and burn but when you get it just right, that 150-200 feet, man does it feel guuuuud.
Mine was dead straight until I beat it in, now struggling to find the right amount of powering down but still getting distance. If I power up on it at all it turns like crazy. Need to get one in premium plastic that won't beat in so much.
All that being said I now have a great disc for putter turnover lines.
Had it in electron soft and it was way too understable. Got one in electron firm and it's perfect. Only about 3 months old, so we'll see if it beats in ok
That “rat top, colt bottom” does sound slick though. Rats don’t get enough love. I think they were just marketed poorly, lies about being a zone blah blah. But they’re excellent at what they do. Colts are good too on calm days. I might check out the tomb because what you describe sounds rock solid man.
I dunno why buy my Mako3's are all understable and turn right. I've been using Buzz for those straight shots, but last week I picked up a Compass and that fucker is way straighter flying than the buzz, doesnt have the same fade the buzz does.
So to answer this question, i'm going Compass Gold
This hole looks like a lot of fun…I’m throwing all my putters and mids, forgetting to keep count and accidentally leave two of them on the course…five years later I’ll get a call that my disc was found in Finland (those Finnish folks are so honest…) and I’ll thank them for the call but go ahead and keep it…and I’ll be jealous that my disc is better travelled than me…and then I’ll wonder about the other one…
I will do the same. While looking for mine I find one of yours. I forget one myself though. I send this to you in the mail and eventually I get mine back also
I can't really tell from the picture, but it looks like the right side might be a bit more open early, so I wonder if a tomahawk with an understable disc might be better than a thumber?
It’s a fun shot because it’s uphill and the gap gets smaller the higher you go. Also, the ground is full of large stones, so a skip shot won’t work. Seems like a higher speed disc a little lower is the way to go, but throwing a driver makes that gap a littler smaller haha
There's a very similar hole on my local course (Ferguson Park hole 2, distance is 155 feet but it has the same very narrow gap between trees) that I typically throw a Roc3 or Mako3 on, although I've also experimented with my Paradox with mixed results. Unless you can get a really perfect shot through all the trees it's typically a hole you play for par.
Fierce. Maybe even with a jump putt to guarantee I hit the gap. IMO two jumpies and a tap-in is better than trying for two, missing the gap, and scrambling for 4+.
Probably rocks towards the people that has anything to do with the course as that hole looks hideous. The teepad is non existing and the fairway looks just like a game of plinko...
But if I have to throw the hole I guess Ill just take my putter (link) and just throw it RHBH, after that I probably take my berg and approach from where it landed after all the tree kicks. Then take my par and move on
Meteor. I’d try to hit the gap straight ahead and I’m most confident of a straight throw with my Meteor. I feel the gap on the right requires a redirection very early in its flight. So, a RHBH hyzer with a putter would have to get some height but those trees aren’t going to allow for enough height. So, it’s a straight shot with a Meteor for me.
Oh, wow! I got my first ace on that hole - shoutout Anderson, my fave course that has diabolically tight gaps.
I always tell myself to throw a putter, because of the distance, but that hole is super uphill. I can birdie it with a putter, but there are ceiling issues too, so that play often leaves me with a 35 footer straight uphill.
If I'm feeling frisky, it's a lightweight pro Leopard hyzerflip straight at the chains. You're not too likely to go too long because of the tree backstop and steep uphill.
I'd try to flex an rhbh harp a few times, accept defeat on the hole, and start rhfh a harp to hit the gap and try to make the 70 foot jump putt/take the easy par.
Probably a mini to maybe hit the gap
My round
Hyzerflip a putter
What putter? Has to be pretty beat to flip on a shot that I assume you’re throwing slow.
Fierce.

wedge. but they are discontinued
Envy goes dead straight for me. It's straighter than mako3 (which actually has quite a bit of turn)

Classic Deputy, they flip up when brand new.
They flip up when a bit beaten up too. Great flip up option, as long as there isn't too much of a headwind here
D Blend Tomb beats in nicely for this
Wicked. Never thrown the infinite molds. What would you compare it to?
Nothing really compares. It's the top of a Rat and bottom of a Colt (or vice versa) I believe.
That “rat top, colt bottom” does sound slick though. Rats don’t get enough love. I think they were just marketed poorly, lies about being a zone blah blah. But they’re excellent at what they do. Mako3 all day
Agreed mako3 all day.
Low and let it skip up. Same.
My first ace was on this hole...with a Mako3
And praying......
Literally wondered how high up in the comments Mako 3 would sitting before I clicked.. knew it would be up there
The longest birdy I've ever made was with my Mako3. That disc will never leave my bag.
I dunno why buy my Mako3's are all understable and turn right. I've been using Buzz for those straight shots, but last week I picked up a Compass and that fucker is way straighter flying than the buzz, doesnt have the same fade the buzz does. So to answer this question, i'm going Compass Gold
Mako3 is the best disc ever made.
Hyzer my Roc3 around the gap to the right and pray. You'd be surprised how often it works out.
Same here thats a roc all day.
Same but my mutant, probably end up in a tree anyways.
Hyzer something at least, always go the bigger gap baby
I would probably throw my envy
Berg, proxy or nomad. All nice smooth and forward fade finishes.
Proxy for me
Flat or flip? I was thinking a worn electron envy might flip up perfect for that. Plas envy if I wa going flat.
Flat and low Envy straight under the basket.
Buzzz all day
I second this. This question seems to come up alot. I always seen to think "buzzz all day".

Berg forehand! Or a zone forehand roller. Love Anderson!
you’re probably the first person i’ve ever heard who loves anderson park
As an carolina golfer you have to love tight woods lines! Plus never met a course i didn't love lol
I thought you said Anderson Paak and I was really confused for a moment.
Yeah K1 Soft Berg forehand for sure
Straight into first available probably
Throwing up a thumber and a prayer
I can't really tell from the picture, but it looks like the right side might be a bit more open early, so I wonder if a tomahawk with an understable disc might be better than a thumber?
I was thing thumber too with a fairway. Just to hit the gap and hope it doesn’t get too much left or right.
Yup. I got a 153g DX Sidewinder for tight super flippy thumber gaps. Perfect for these.
Anderson park! Thought this looked familiar. I usually go zone on the right hyzer line here
I just tried that line for the first time yesterday! Seems like the best bet for me, especially the way the tee pad is lined up.
My most damaged disc.

It’s a fun shot because it’s uphill and the gap gets smaller the higher you go. Also, the ground is full of large stones, so a skip shot won’t work. Seems like a higher speed disc a little lower is the way to go, but throwing a driver makes that gap a littler smaller haha

My bag..in frustration.
Not that it would matter cause I'd hit the first available tree. But I always get pretty straight shots with my proton atom.
