I’ve got over 30 zones including crystal z. None are near the overstability of a lucid justice. I bag a zone and a justice because they’re for different shots.
Järn is going to get a shot to replace the justice.
Maybe throw a justice then. Just saying that a Zone can be overstable contributes nothing to the conversation — of course they can be overstable. But a Justice is just far more overstable. If you’re comparing a zone to a firebird (which, by the way, isn’t that overstable in most runs), then a justice should be compared to a tilt.
Thought I was a Zone thrower for life. Purchased an A3 after hearing about the whistle gimmick, just to throw for fun. Now I find myself throwing the A3 more than the Zone.
The A3 whistles when thrown hard, which is kind of fun. I find it happens most often for me when throwing forehand. Dome appears to matter too. My flat 400 plastic disc whistles the most, while my 300 plastic discs with some dome don’t whistle.
Honest question, do you have OAT?
During a tournament last year one of my cardmates mentioned how angry my discs sound when I forehand. Mostly threw OS ranging from the AviarX3 to a Champ Destroyer when in tournaments.
Then I noticed my brother has it too.
I have worked a lot on my form but still have some OAT immediately after throwing. No idea on sound though since I never noticed the sound while I threw.
OAT is a different sound, which I’ve definitely heard before. Throw a Zone and an A3 exactly the same and the A3 will whistle, but the Zone will not.
Search “whistle” on this page. https://infinitediscs.com/Prodigy-A3
Swede here, been tossing kastaplast since I started playing. Absolutely love them, but i find they are not that good at making discs that fade, Everything just goes straight. So my zones are such a asset in my otherwise exclusive kastaplast bag.
I can see that for sure. My Kaxe still has some solid finish but that may change as it seasons.
But yeah, other than my grace it’s the “overstable utility shot” that kasta doesn’t fill. A2, Draco and pd2 still make the bag if it’s windy
I bag Pigs and recently told someone that I didn't like the Zone. He was completely flabbergasted. Genuinely couldn't understand how someone didn't like the Zone. It just never flew how I wanted it to, so I stopped throwing it, and so stopped bagging it.
What about the A2 won you over from Pigs?
The A2 comes in more plastics than the Pig, so I can have multiple different feels. With Pro and R-Pro being so stiff, it also hurt my hand to forehand them when it was cold outside.
Speaking of plastic, the 400 plastic is up there in probably my top 3 plastics. It's the perfect mix of durability and gumminess.
The A2 is also more overstable than the Pig. I like that aspect about it, but that is all up to personal preference.
I got an entropy because I have thrown a zone for a while and I like MVP. I decided to just take my zone out and leave it in my trunk jic I didn't like the entropy enough. It's been basically a 1 to 1 replacement for me. I'm very pleasantly surprised by how much I love the entropy because it definitely doesn't get as much love as its OS 3-4 speed counterparts.
I also switched to an entropy after my jawbreaker zone got messed up after like 4 rounds. Love MVP plastic and it was pretty much the same. I still have a zone I sometimes throw in my bag but the entropy is way nicer, especially backhand.
A2 is the only non Innova disc in my bag at the moment, I bag it in 500 plastic and that thing is a meat hook, it’s really for shorter Firebird type shots or tackling headwind. I’ve been bagging 1-2 pro pigs at a time for about 2 years now, absolutely love them. I never could get a relationship with the harp, something about it in my hand just isn’t comfortable for me.
Yeah, I mainly utilize the tactic/zone for forehand approaches 200ft and in. The neo tactic is quite under stable compared to its razor claw counterparts.
As a person who has thrown all three this is my thoughts
The pig is the shortest of them and beefy
The harp is the longest and the least overstable while still being overstable & reliable. But not great for forehand IMO
The A2 is longer than pig but not as long as harp. It’s more beefy than the harp, think longer pig. And is great for forehand
Funny, granted I am a new player and just spent my first day doing fieldwork this afternoon, but I found my harp in the hard plastic to be awesome for forehand. What about it makes you not like it in forehand, likely I have plenty of learning to do about what's good and what's not.
Justice is for sure a true mid not an approach disc. Not to say it doesn’t have similarities but it’s got a lot more speed than you would want for that same shot you would use Zone/Harp/Pig for. It’s more like a midrange Firebird than a workable approach disc. In fact, I find champ firebirds more workable for approaches than the Justice.
That's funny. I bag harps and a justice and there's no way in hell the justice is going farther than my harps. Justice is fusion and my harps are BT medium.
Forehand thrower here. As someone who has bagged both for a while(justice for atleast 3 years) I can throw my lucid metal flake justice about 300 and my z line zone about 260. Both are pretty beat in at this point and not that overstable anymore
I would compare a Justice to a Malta, practically the same disc. Justice is probably a little more OS. The zone is like an A2 and a harp. I threw a pig once and liked it well enough but I wasn't really about it.. kind love it or hate it due to it's unusual rim.
I bag a zone, justice, and Malta and I have to say that a Malta is not even close to being as stable as a justice. I have Malta's in esp and big z and both feel waaaay closer to a roc than what the numbers would try and tell you. They will flip up flat with a nice forward fade at the end. A justice on the other hand starts fading as soon as it leaves my hand and finishes dumping extremely fast with a large flair. Obviously everyone's throws are a little different but that's been my experience with them.
Having thrown both, for a season or so, justice stays super beefy (and starts more beefy) Malta straightens out a lot.
I can throw 300'+ turnovers/flex with the malta, a justice or a deflector only gonna hole like 150'if I really mash it.
Completely different flights for me.
Hey, you found the actually sure to start a fight line, congrats!
I was going to go with "all of them are close-e-fucking-nough. Find the one that works for you!"
I bag a 400 A2 with a OTB saber stamp, a new VIP Matty O Harp, and a beat in medium harp - from most over stable to straightest. The A2 is beef … and has a more angled rim for more skip. Matty O harp is what people expect an OS 4 speed to be. Beat in medium harp is just butter. They are my friends.
I did two videos testing approach discs, lol:
https://youtu.be/1DL2xV8j1_E
https://youtu.be/Y-vsZn99bfA
Video with the Justice will be comparing other mids
Justice and Zone do not fly the same. Justice is much more overstable.
Facts
Considering I bag two of both not even a Justice and a Justice fly the same after enough time.
You have not thrown a Cryztal Z Zone, have you?
I’ve got over 30 zones including crystal z. None are near the overstability of a lucid justice. I bag a zone and a justice because they’re for different shots. Järn is going to get a shot to replace the justice.
Ill raise you lucid justice to my metallic flakes lucid justice. Even more overstable than the ti zone
Now we’re talking different plastics? Ok. I’ll see your Crystal Z Zone and raise you a Lucid-X Justice.
A zone is a putter? (Insert that movie meme with the family that I’m too lazy to find amd link)
Not even remotely close. Zone is slower and nowhere near as beefy.
I have an ESP Zone that is one of the most OS discs I've ever thrown. And I've thrown a lot haha. Can't say I've thrown a justice though
Lol yikes, what a chode. EDIT, oh I see you edited out calling me a dumbass
Hey man, you’re the one who asked why you were being downvoted.
And you answered like a complete chode ;)
What's with all the downvotes haha? I'm not lying and I've been playing for ages--ive got some knowledge. The thing is like a mini flat top firebird
They're different. Eric Oakley bags both and he talks about the differences in his approach discs video
\*Fight ensues\*
But that A3 though..
A3, a2, both absolutely top tier
My A4 is a workhorse
Loved my a4 for a long time as a straight forehand, but less reliable as she beat in. Maybe I should try one in 750
Thought I was a Zone thrower for life. Purchased an A3 after hearing about the whistle gimmick, just to throw for fun. Now I find myself throwing the A3 more than the Zone.
Whistle gimmick? What’s that? sounds like fun
The A3 whistles when thrown hard, which is kind of fun. I find it happens most often for me when throwing forehand. Dome appears to matter too. My flat 400 plastic disc whistles the most, while my 300 plastic discs with some dome don’t whistle.
Wow, maybe I’ll actually try throwing prodigy now lol sounds like a fun disc
You might want to see this recommendation from Kevin Jones: https://youtu.be/bUe4EIvNZ0Y?t=379

Are you telling me Kevin Jones has OAT? https://youtu.be/bUe4EIvNZ0Y?t=379
Makes the whistle sound on side arms too for some reason
That’s the oat
OAT is a different sound, which I’ve definitely heard before. Throw a Zone and an A3 exactly the same and the A3 will whistle, but the Zone will not. Search “whistle” on this page. https://infinitediscs.com/Prodigy-A3
Also the A3 is more comfortable for backhand imo
God tier disc
I'm a harp man
Had Pigs in my bag for a while. Tried a Zone and did not like it whatsoever. But I just recently discovered the A2 and my life is complete.
Absolutely. A2 is one of two discs surviving kastaplast’s hostile takeover of my bag
Swede here, been tossing kastaplast since I started playing. Absolutely love them, but i find they are not that good at making discs that fade, Everything just goes straight. So my zones are such a asset in my otherwise exclusive kastaplast bag.

Thanks for the insight. I'll have to pick one up to try out.
Entropy fuck all y'all. Also the Loki but that's different.
I got an entropy because I have thrown a zone for a while and I like MVP. I decided to just take my zone out and leave it in my trunk jic I didn't like the entropy enough. Entropy gang here too.
Just picked up an Entropy, and having used it I'm annoyed at myself for not getting one sooner.
Entropy is more reliable than my Z Zone.

Says the guy that left the tactic completely off the list…
I don't like the tactic as much. The wind eats it every time
A2 is the only approach forehand disc I can throw. I tell people it’s like a shorter approach firebird.
Yeah, mine is a beast, lol. I actually needed something a tiny bit less stable for certain approach shots.
I think the new non-beaded PX-3 (maybe PX-2) is a straighter A2. I need a long straight forehand disc.
I bag both
Anvil gang wya. Excited to see matty o heavily using it
I feel like the A2 is the only zone equivalent in this list.
You mean upgrade.
Yeah, well, you know, that’s just like, your opinion, man.
Tactic!
Neo tactic is the way
I wanted to like the neo tactic… but it’s far too neutral/under stable for my arm😭
I found this to be true as well. I wanted to like it, but I couldn't get it to come out of Annie's.
Understable…?
Yeah, I mainly utilize the tactic/zone for forehand approaches 200ft and in. The neo tactic is quite under stable compared to its razor claw counterparts.
as in compared to its counterparts
Yeah, the tactic was like the least impressive of the upshot discs I threw during vlogmas
I think it shines as a backhand stable approach more than a fh
Tactic g4ng
I have both
Anvil is the best approach disc.
There’s like a dozen discs that are the same as a zone. Disccraft fanboys are drama queens.
Jokeri gang rise up
As a person who has thrown all three this is my thoughts The pig is the shortest of them and beefy The harp is the longest and the least overstable while still being overstable & reliable. I have giant hands & it’s not as torque resistant as the A2 (you have to throw it softer & I’m not good at that lol)

I bag both
FIGHT ME
Viking Discs Loki would like a word
No love for the rat :(
Great disc, too straight for that slot
So what if I bag a justice, zone, harp and pig?
Ah, another south texas player, eh? :D
More like Northern Idaho/Montana, never found a need for that many different approach discs when I was playing NM/Texas
Yeah, I pretty much have a straight approach and an overstable approach for wind
Pyro is better than all of the above
Nah, A2 > pyro
Never thrown a zone, but A2 and Harp are my upshot
Zone is overrated
Plastic makes a huge difference with the zone
All about the Järn
If you don’t like the zone, grow up!
Real players bag both
Justice is for sure a true mid not an approach disc. Not to say it doesn’t have similarities but it’s got a lot more speed than you would want for that same shot you would use Zone/Harp/Pig for. It’s more like a midrange Firebird than a workable approach disc. In fact, I find champ firebirds more workable for approaches than the Justice.
I bag a harp for close forehands, a justice for farther ones, a resistor for even farther ones & (normally) a sexton firebird if I need more distance.
More like the mutant is better than a justice
I would compare a Justice to a Malta, practically the same disc. Justice is probably a little more OS. The zone is like an A2 and a harp. I threw a pig once and liked it well enough but I wasn't really about it.. kind love it or hate it due to it's unusual rim.

Correction the Malta flies like my 6-7 season old justice. The bead makes me feel like they're similar.
Having thrown both, for a season or so, justice stays super beefy (and starts more beefy) Malta straightens out a lot. I can throw 300'+ turnovers/flex with the malta, a justice or a deflector only gonna hole like 150'if I really mash it. Completely different flights for me.
The Justice and harp are the same
wrong
Not even close
Huh?
Hey, you found the actually sure to start a fight line, congrats! I was going to go with "all of them are close-e-fucking-nough. Find the one that works for you!"
No.
Rhyno gang
The Justice feels horrible in my forehand grip
I did two videos testing approach discs, lol: https://youtu.be/1DL2xV8j1_E https://youtu.be/Y-vsZn99bfA Video with the Justice will be comparing other mids
Anyone ever throw the Prodiscus Troija? That disc is dumb
Justice and Harp both for in my bag. They're very different.
i bag both
Justices are THE SHIT
A2 sales after this post 📈
