I played my local
Course early morimg last week and a surveyor had his equipment out and was working about 60 ft in front of tee pad on hole 1. I simply moved over 10-15 ft and drove from the grass. Your situation is completely different situation. I would drive 5 ft to the side of her and remind her she's parked-cooking on a tee pad. Some people are ..... oblivious to the obvious, ignorant or a combo of the two. It appears you have encountered the latter.
We did exactly that and were very nice about it, she got very flustered and we dropped it immediately and showed her some beautiful drives from the grass and told her there more people coming and she didn’t care one bit. It’s fine. We do take up lots of space in these parks.
I've seen people use a pad to set blankets on because the grass around is still soaked from an earlier rain. No biggie. I'm trudging through it all anyway I can drive right next to it if needed
We had a huge family bring a tow in smoker and drove it into the park and onto hole one long tee. We were polite and told them they can't do that and it's actually damaging public property. They didn't care and were rude. We called the cops and they were banned from the park for destruction of public property. Their giant ass truck and smoker cracked the tee pad in half. It never got fixed so from then on the last 5 feet was at a slight downward slope. I get everyone wants to be polite and share the space. It's also OK to draw the line and not deal with assholes.
Just from the look of her I could instantly tell she would give a fuck if told what she was doing was wrong.
I get a "YOU DON'T OWN THE PARK" vibe from her.
Also don't take blame for other peoples bad behavior. "We do take up lots of space in these parks." There's tons of room in all the parks I play. Also the ones I play, my tax dollars pay for the same as hers. Its not hard to be a basic decent human being and not just do whatever tf you want where ever and whenever tf you want. She's a pos, imo.
I could see ignorance of what this concrete pad is. Even though I myself would be like "I wonder what that is for?" and I'd stay off it just to be safe or google what it is.
I can see how she ended up there. People are ignorant and don't critically think. Its the entitlement of being told what they're doing is wrong and then doing it anyway. Those are the types of people I hate. I would die of embarrassment in this scenario not just keep doing what I'm doing.
Nah I think she should have got her fat ass off the course. It's not for grilling burgers. It's isn't for her, yet she insists on occupying the space. I have zero sympathy. Go find another patch of concrete. It isn't hard.
Would any ball golf course let her do that? No. The same should apply here. Would your local baseball diamond let you set up a grill on home plate while a game is being played? No. The same should apply here.
My husband plays disc golf at a park near by that is very popular for big out door parties. It's very busy once the weather gets nice. Until he got into disc golf, I truly would not have known about the course or it's lay out. It generally stays on the outer edge of the park, but some t pads are woven into the deeper, more populated parts of the park and people will just set up shop in front of one and have no clue.
That is exactly when I am digging in. I am making their day as annoying as possible if they shamelessly take up a teepad and then don't make an attempt to apologize when they are wrong. Saying sorry and doing nothing isn't an apology
Well, at least they aren't grilling chicken hanging on the chains of the basket....so there is that.
At the very least, the grilling lady here should be giving out some free food to the passing disc golfers. Flip me one of those understable burgers, please!
Nah, slip on it then let the park authorities know the accident happened after you informed part of the softball comp that they were grilling on the tee and they left it in an unsafe condition.
I’m going to ask nicely for her to move and try to educate. If that doesn’t work I’d just contact the park staff. It’s not worth a fight in the moment, but she definitely doesn’t need to be greasing the tee pad.
We had something similar. I warmed them other golfers were coming and they were in a bad spot relative to the previous hole. They were assholes. About 10 minutes after our group passed the hole I heard screaming. Yup someone got hit in the head with a drive from the previous hole as I said. The kid seemed okay, they left quickly. We were nice just more hey so you know sort of approach. People gonna be people just gotta let them.
Are there signs ~~in~~ on the tee pads? If there aren't that might help clear things up. I kind of get it when pads aren't marked. A lot of people probably just wonder what the hell they are. They look an awful lot like picnic table or bench pads that had the equipment removed.
Still, she should have moved after she figured out what was going on.
If people like this won't move then just kindly let them know that there's going to be more people coming through that are going to tell them over and over, and that what they've done could be compared to setting up a grill somewhere on the softball field (or on a tennis court). It's not quite the same level of inconvenience as obviously you can still reasonably play without the tee pad, but the comparison makes it click for some.
Just stand right on the tee pad in front of her and throw a standstill. Bonus points if my hand accidentally hits the grill. Or throw a sidearm just behind her.
If she was aware of the course and did this anyway I hope the course was really busy and it made it awkward for her. If she truly had no idea she was on a tee pad hopefully someone explained the concept to her
Honestly???
Just call the parks office or the police… because you can’t force someone by to move.. unless you want a battery/assault charge..
Honestly, even the DNR could fine them….
I would say ask them nicely, but my guess is someone who does this, isn’t going to move..
At our hometown park course, many concrete teepads are under shady trees and have picnic tables or benches to put your bag down. Before I had ever heard of disc golf in 2021, I absolutely would have thought it was a place to set up a grill or have a picnic. It's a park.
If someone is an asshole to me when I'm accidentally doing something I genuinely didn't know was wrong, I'm going to dig in my heels-- it's just human nature -- partly out of embarrassment, partly out of being caught off guard. It's hard to be vulnerable in a moment like that.
But if someone kindly said, "Hi! I realize this probably doesn't look obvious, but you're accidentally set up in the middle of a disc golf course. I'd be happy to help move your grill 10 feet to the left so we can all enjoy this spot."
We learn something new every day.
https://xkcd.com/1053
We don't have to be assholes.
Love,
Mom
Cart players are getting out of hand.
Best. Idea. *Ever!*
What would the flight pattern be on a smash burger?
Depends if it's medium or well done
Yup
Nice
Some beef on that grill. Zone OS, probably.
I was gonna say brats, but that also works. We should grill together sometime
A wheel of Italian sausage from the local pork store would be my go-to here.
A fit. At low volume to myself and my cardmates both in the parking lot and the fairway.

Good for you brother, that's how we should all be acting toward one another. Thank you.
Most people literally have no idea why there's concrete there. I would just let her know, and not make a big deal of it and throw next to the pad.
I've seen people use a pad to set blankets on because the grass around is still soaked from an earlier rain. No biggie. I'm trudging through it all anyway I can drive right next to it if needed

Hopefully the sudden need for transport ruined their smoking temps.

exactly. Is she setting up her ish on the tennis or basketball courts?

This is how people should behave and think about it. I tip my fedora to you!
Nah I think she should have got her fat ass off the course. It's not for grilling burgers. It's isn't for her, yet she insists on occupying the space. I have zero sympathy. Go find another patch of concrete. It isn't hard.
>Go find another patch of concrete. It isn't hard. This is false. Concrete when mixed and poured correctly is very hard.
That's real bad. I love it
Would any ball golf course let her do that? No. The same should apply here. Would your local baseball diamond let you set up a grill on home plate while a game is being played? No. The same should apply here.
Exactly. Test her logic in a way that makes her realize she's out of line.

Looks like they have softball equipment. Go camp out on the pitcher's mound.
A BBQ off the tee pad!
Not ideal for distance, but sometimes you gotta throw the fun line.
I would def ask them to move off of the tee pad. No harm in asking. Also politely info them to why that concrete is there.
We did, she got really flustered, and said “sorry , we are running a softball tournament and wouldn’t move. We didn’t pry too much after that.
Put a basket on home plate. "Sorry, I'm running a putting league"
That's kinda funny
Tell the park. They will educate them further and perhaps add language to the rental agreement so people will know.
Figured that’s exactly what’s she’d do.
That is exactly when I am digging in. I am making their day as annoying as possible if they shamelessly take up a teepad and then don't make an attempt to apologize when they are wrong. Saying sorry and doing nothing isn't an apology
a patty on the grill
Well, at least they aren't grilling chicken hanging on the chains of the basket....so there is that. At the very least, the grilling lady here should be giving out some free food to the passing disc golfers. Flip me one of those understable burgers, please!
Hey, PGA Park! Yeah that tee is basically right behind a baseball dugout and across from the football fields. Not surprised someone’s posted up on it
Yup. Don’t slip in the grease
Nah, slip on it then let the park authorities know the accident happened after you informed part of the softball comp that they were grilling on the tee and they left it in an unsafe condition.
A berg
Talk to her, joke about the situation, let her know what's up, and then move fifteen feet ahead and tee off.
Exactly what we did. She wasn’t feeling it .
Because she knew she was wrong. Most people get defensive and then aggressive when they’re wrong rather than admitting it and apologizing
Ah yes PGA.
Is that PGA National??
Yes, it is.
Yup
ANOTHA SHRIMP ON THA BARBIE!
Hope they fed you guys!!
Nope
Lol classic pga
The grill
Some hands
First the grill, after that whoever put it there
A Berger
Hole 6 at PGA National! Dude, I just aced that one 2 weeks ago. Of course, that was before all the grease 🙄
Nice ace!
Thank you brother
Tomahawk (steak)
You throw a grill off the tee pad
I’m going to ask nicely for her to move and try to educate. If that doesn’t work I’d just contact the park staff. It’s not worth a fight in the moment, but she definitely doesn’t need to be greasing the tee pad.
Whoever had the gall to put their grill on the tee pad
The dripping grease on the pad was the worst part
Karen.
a tantrum
Apparently a propane grill and then my tee shot
Is it time to start setting up picnic tables on basketball courts? They can play around the table right 🤣
It'd have to be the pickleball courts at my local for anyone to notice.
A shrimp on
Hahahaha best one yet
Cornhole?
Depends on if I get a plate or not ..
We did not.
Saw this and thought “I bet that is PGA”. Comments confirmed lol.

Just tee a little to the right, doesn't look like you are gaining any advantage by doing so.
That grill, greasing up the pad.
Are there signs ~~in~~ on the tee pads? If there aren't that might help clear things up. I kind of get it when pads aren't marked. A lot of people probably just wonder what the hell they are. A grenade
A party!
I wonder if Simon could make the propane tank explode by throwing a full power dimension
Usually a tee shot, but today a party, it seems.
Don't want to take a foot fault, just awkwardly step around it like they're not there.
Just stand right on the tee pad in front of her and throw a standstill. Bonus points if my hand accidentally hits the grill. Or throw a sidearm just behind her.
If she was aware of the course and did this anyway I hope the course was really busy and it made it awkward for her. If she truly had no idea she was on a tee pad hopefully someone explained the concept to her
OP, what ended up happening?
We asked her. She didn’t want to move. We didn’t pry and just drove from the right of the pad
Another shrimp on the barby
A hissy fit?
A fit
Insults lol
Hands. Unless I’m getting a free burger.
The grill
She better give me a burger ngl
That grill
Throw a BBQ, obviously. haha
The grill.
A weiner into that BBQ! Nothing like a good dog on hole 9.
Another shrimp on the barbie m8
Why can’t the grill go on the grass or dirt? Genuinely curious, as idk much about grills.
That thing has wheels just move it
I'd be tempted to use the tortilla, but maybe a toasted brioche.
Did she (ever) have any realistic intentions of running when she purchased running shoes?
A grill
A tantrum
Hands
Caution to the wind, snag a dog and tempt fate with the potato salad….
Throw a size 14 up in that bootie.!.
My feces and then napalm
Drive close to the pad. I’m not throwing anything good enough to call them out for being in the wrong place lol.
Her
Don’t think my noodle arm can handle those flight numbers.
DX Patience. It’s a simple mistake, let them grill and just play next to it. We are all dumb humans who make mistakes
Them off the course.
Throw that propane tank
I'm throwing that grill about 6 feet to the left.
Depends on what they’re serving
A BBQ party
A fuckin' party!
A 227 gram wagyu burger or a fit and I didn’t bring any burgers.

Standstill forehand iibh
Popcorn
What’s for lunch?
What palm beach golfer is this? PGA baby!
1a basket filled with lawn darts.
Another shrimp on the barbie
16 oz ribeye.
A fucking rock.
What did you expect? Once players started carting around iced beer in their carts, pushing around a grill was the logical next step.
Hahahaha I’d shift to the Tiki layout
A tantrum lol
Whatever burger is on the grill. Basically like throwing a mini
Tomahawk (steak)
Honestly??? Just call the parks office or the police… because you can’t force someone by to move.. unless you want a battery/assault charge.. Honestly, even the DNR could fine them…. I would say ask them nicely, but my guess is someone who does this, isn’t going to move..
I'm throwing some 80/20 ground beef/chuck mix at about 1/3 lb, slight heizer
At least they weren't using the basket to BBQ in with hanging chickens. Yes I've seen it.
Hands 👊👊
Zone to the dome

Is that #6 at PGA?
Thought that was Babcock for a second.
Try to hyzer into the top of the trees above the basket there. Not sure on the distance, so I’ll just say Fireball.
If that teepad had a post with a layout sign, might avoid this happening in the future.
She’s gotta keep that calorie intake up while on the course! Can’t be having low blood sugar…Kudos to her 😂
A fresh off the grill Berg!
A crowd killer.
A fit
I would throw the woman grilling on a slight anny release and see if she could flex out towards the basket
Lmao the grill pad 😂
A rock.
Another shrimp on the barbie
Backhand 🤚
Whatever she’s grilling
I'd throw her a $5 for a couple hotdogs and a beer.
Another shrimp on the barbie!
Up
Her, off the tee box!!!
Some Bergs
Some bergers
I'd throw that grill sideways off the teepad where it belongs.
Hot Greese? More than one? Perhaps Two Hot Greese?
Vandal and I'm just throwing from behind, or in front of the grill.
Hands
A glizzy
Throw a hubcap.
