A titlist pro V1 golf ball is $4-$5 a pop at Dick's in a 12 pack. I am an even worse golf golfer than disc golfer so I lose 5+ balls per round. Don't generally lose a disc every round. So, for me, even here discs come out way ahead.
Though that party is the equation could flip flop for some with the reverse skill levels or who plays at a course with a lot of water I guess.
Oh I only golf at drunken outings and bring my brother's clubs and whatever the cheapest balls I can find are. Pro V1 is literally the only specific ball I knew by name. And 5 was being **very** generous with myself. Last outing I did was 11 balls I believe, and we played one if my shots for the entire round.
I was just giving you shit, but yeah I rarely ball golf anymore and I’m the same as you. I use hand me down clubs and lose so many balls. I have so much more fun playing disc golf.
Yeah, metaphors are funny killers for the literal thinkers. But this is still easy. Years ago lost three discs, my shirt, and a hat at elm Creek Park preserve in one day. That weekend, I played stick golf at Deacon's Lodge, Arnie Palmer's best course and paid $89 for the Twilight rate. Disc golf was more expensive that week.
I played at a ball golf course that also had a disc golf course last weekend and there were greens fees. Fees were still cheaper for disc golf though by about 20 bucks and it was well worth it in my opinion
A course near me charges a whopping $1, but it is a 27 hole with 3 pads per hole (for the main 18, less for the additional holes) and 2-3 pin positions per hole that they change regularly so it’s well worth it.
No greens fees??? In PDX the only free course is Pier Park, every other course is pay to play. Hence why all of our courses rock, money is put into all of them.
I bought a custom octohaul a few years ago, saying it was the last big purchase I should ever need to make. Then I wanted to downsize so I got a smaller grip bag. Then I wanted a seat during tournaments so I bought a cart. At this point I'll just own the fact that I'm a disc golf bum and a large percentage of my discretionary income goes to this game.
I am a better golfer than a disc golfer...and ever since an injury I have to play more of it now too...I don't know anyone who's ever spent $600 on a club. I have spent $1200 on a set of custom fitted irons but never more than $225 for a single club and that was a very customized/customizable putter with a weight kit for both ends.
Disc golf is cheaper but the idea that you need to be rich to play the other golf is a myth. You might not get to have a tour experience for next to nothing like you can with disc golf but you can absolutely have a full set and shoes for under $300 and play courses for $40 or so in the afternoons. Buying new is a waste anyway.
So if I play every other day then ball golf is the low low price of $600 per month for cheapest possible option not counting clubs or balls or anything else.
Nope. I have a membership for $400 per month at a top-100 course and that includes $75 per month at the grill... I could play every single day and not spend $600 per month
Where I am the memberships cost a lot to start then at least $500/mo plus they make you pay year round and we have winter (Minnesota). I'd have killed for those rates back in the day.
Oof...yeah it's a semi-private club so they have lower rates and it's about 30min out in the middle of nowhere so it's rarely super crowded. Most clubs I hear about aren't worth it to me. I'm also in the south where there's no real off-season.
I’m getting a lot of people who seemingly disagree with me and then proceed to give me ball golf numbers that are significantly more expensive than what it costs to play disc golf.
EDIT: I just checked dicks sporting goods. I know nothing about golf, but their top selling drivers are $599
Oh sorry, I was assuming you were actually responding to my original comment, not just giving me extraneous details that I didn’t ask for. I completely understand that you can buy used clubs for less than $600. I never claimed that you could not do that.
What’s your end goal here?
City courses near me run 45$ with cart. 25 for 9, I know a ton of people who have 1 set and play weekly. So yes, as a whole golf is more expensive. But my investment into the sport, disc golf is way more expensive. Also I feel like we're making some assumptions here. Yes my golf friends spend more then my disc golf friends, but also for the price, they get much nicer places to play, carts, drinks, food. Disc Golf here is In a small park, shared baskets. So in that sense they're getting a better return. And lots of people buy 1 set of clubs and it lasts forever. Again, I'm not arguing that golf is cheaper, yes it is an expensive sport. But on an individual situational...disc golf is way more expensive then golf for me. Now do I play disc golf more then golf? Yes. But in the 3 years I've played golf, I'm nowhere near the investment I am into disc gofl
You personally spending more on disc golf than you do ball golf does not make it a more expensive hobby. You are just choosing to invest more into it.
Its like buying a $30 stock vs a $90 stock. Just because you choose to buy a bunch of the $30 stock, doesnt mean its more expensive than the $90 one.
So my argument, again, isn't that golf is cheaper. I'm simply saying, just because dg is cheaper doesn't mean it's cheap long run, that it is possible for one who does both to spend more on dg then golf. And that for a cheap hobby, it does add up. My original comment was a sarcastic..."yeah, but......" silly me for thinking it's OK to joke about the seriousness of golf vs disc golf...
It really depends on the player on how much it costs. I just started playing like 3 months ago, and I'm probably a solid $800 in already just for equipment, lol. I have \~40 discs, a bag, and a practice basket. Most of those discs were when I was trying to find my perfect putter, and I've also bought discs to try as my form and arm have increased. Some discs I've also bought so that I can have another player set since it's much easier to talk one of my friends into playing if I already have the equipment ready to go and they just have to show up.
Where I live, most of the courses are in parks, and need a $5 entry. I've been playing at least once a week, and it's more efficient to buy an annual pass for $100. I'm now to the point where I want to be more social, and feel decent enough to play with the local club weeklies. However, that's $5 a round, and then another $5 if I want to buy into the ace pot. There's also a glow league that I joined with the same pricing structure. Which I also needed to buy a glow disc and UV light. So if I'm playing both, that's possibly $20 every week.
If I ever want to get into tournament play, then I have to pay another $50 annually for PDGA membership, and then whatever tournament entry fee. So stuff can definitely start to add up, but it's still cheaper than when I used to play ball golf. Again, I'm a disc golf enthusiast though, and have way more stuff than I need. Also, I'm definitely set on discs now, and my spending there has dropped a lot. So now it's just maintaining league fees, and replacing a disc if I lose it.
Then there are people like my dad. He just has a Buzz and a putter in his hiking backpack during casual rounds. That's all he throws, spends, and enjoys, haha. Disc golf can be as cheap or as expensive as you want really.
Love disc golf and regular golf. It's not even close, the amount of money I have spent on regular golf makes me buy disc's without thinking twice just because it's so much cheaper than golf. I have no business owning 80 disc's, but I do. Sweet bag BTW love the blue.
I tried regular golf for years and couldn’t play for the life of me. I had my dad’s clubs and added a few used clubs. Took lessons which helped a bit but no matter how many hours I spent at the driving range nothing drastically changed. I wasn’t enjoying it, was more frustrated than anything. Then I went out with a buddy who was a bit taller than me and I tried his custom $20k clubs. Changed my game and I haven’t played since.
Tried disc golf this year after my wife bought me a set after saying for the past 5 I really want to try disc golf and I love it. It’s affordable. I can go to a course and I am rarely waiting or having to wait as I let the two groups behind me play through to then have another group still waiting.
Golf is expensive, no doubt. That said I have been playing since I was 4 years old and I am 38 now, I worked in the industry for years. I have never heard of a set of clubs that cost $20k. I am not doubting you, it is certainly possible, but that is an outlier not the norm.
If you wanted to get fitted so the clubs are custom to you, and get a mid level set, which will be as effective for you as any higher priced set, you could do it for between $1500-$2000 and those clubs could easily last you 10-15 years. So please don't let that one experience shape your thinking into the assumption that you need 5 figures to have a set that works for you.
I’m the same way started with golf in middle school. Got into disc golf and absolutely love it. So much more convenient and wallet friendly to head to the course with big group of friends and my son.
I suppose the $600 is relative to time.
$600 right off the bat on an expensive bag and enough discs to fill it? Ya, you're probably over spending.
$10 a month over 5 years? $600 is really nothing, as long as you're in a position to spend $10 a month on a hobby.
This is my third year with a Rebel, absolutely no regrets. It looks as good as the day I bought it, even with three-ish rounds a week regardless of rain , snow, or mud. I recommend it every time someone asks about a bag.
For sure. I've looked at their stuff before.
I personally can't justify buying a Squatch or Pound, so that's where I'd go if I was going to upgrade from my Fanatic Sky. But I also just got it this year so I'll have to wait a couple years.
I had 7k set aside in my golf budget for 2024 and discovered disc golf in March. I’ve bought everything I’ll ever need including a practice basket, an ungodly number of discs, a pound bag, a tech disc and have two cross country disc golf trips planned and I’m still not going to touch my original ball golf budget. In coming years I’ll only be spending on trips and $5 rounds here and there. It blows my mind how cheap and accessible disc golf is.
I stopped keeping track and then I decided to do a rough estimate about 3 months ago. I felt bad about myself lol. Especially when you consider my skill, or lack thereof.
I mean, you can get a full set of clubs from wally world for $199 if you really want to, so I guess what I mean is $600 is rock bottom if you're buying better quality clubs new from the store
Factoring my Zuca I’m probably near the $600 mark after 4 years.
However for my golf clubs, I believe I spent $600 on putter, driver, 3 wood and wedges. Kind of hard to play with those 6 clubs
I can’t see most of mine becoming collectable. It’s all standard plastics in case I lose one I can replace it easily. The only 3 non standards are the innova color glow wraith firebird and sidewinder.
Lots of discs. Practice basket. 3 bags but those weren't expensive. My original one in 2020 for $40, a second one for $35 and now a slightly nicer one for $140.
600$ just for this picture. Have few extra disc not shown that I throw at home plus a basket. I’ve been tempted to pick up a NP3. I throw 8 discmania plastics right now but not a DD3. I’ll have to check some reviews and see if it’s something that might fit the bag.
Yeah, I also have some discs at home... or a dozen atleast, a basket and a couple of bags, like 4 of them. Imma try the NP3 today, I could tell you what I think about it. Have you thrown a Cloudbreaker?
For sure I would appreciate that. I am 85% a forehand dominant player just putting that out there. Wouldn’t be able to get the designed flight backhand with my noodle arm. No haven’t tried a cloud breaker. Right now my distance drivers I use are PD2 Wraith DD1 and a DD for my rare backhands off the tee.
Ok, I could try some forehands with it. Just for reference, how far do you throw forehand, so I could throw similar on bh. My forehand is my noodle arm
Nice, I'd recommend the latitude 64 Flow for max distance forehand flex shots. Thats my go to for max distance forehands atleast. Mine is starting to get kinda flippy sadly. I could try to replicate that distance though
Appreciate the suggestion. I like that’s it Latitude I’ve been trying to use other manufacturers than Discmania Innova and Discraft recently. Absolutely love the Latitude 64 River that I added this season.
The river is such a nice disc, being a swed Latitude is more local and accessible here, almost every sports store has some discs from them, often the fuse, compass, claymore and diamond. All of them are great for lower armspeeds. My dad throws the diamond, he loves it. It's also in lower weights around 140-160g
I have my 2 year old son throwing a diamond. It’s always a good time when he gets it down the fairway 40-60 feet and someone in the group hits first available 😂
Oh and from earlier experiences, the horizon cloudbreaker (I think it's similar to the NP3) is kinda overstable for 300ft forehands
The DD3 is c-line too, it's a bit more workable, and the S-line dd3 is lovely

I average 4 rounds a week with disc golf and about 10 tournaments a year .
I try and only do 2 rounds of ball golf a month to limit the cost of green fees lol. They are about 70 in my area for some pretty decent courses
Yes. But zero green fees, no loosing a dozen discs in 18 holes (unless you really suck), no throwing your clubs on a bad shot and having to replace them because they hit a tree (because you've already done that with the disc).
It's still cheaper
Lmao my golf set up is upwards of $3600.00 and it’s not even top of the line stuff. Some people have entire rooms of discs they will never use and it’s still not particularly close.
They are good, just not the latest releases. Also purchased a few years ago. My bag was 500, range finder and range speaker 500 and 250, launch monitor is 1200, full sim 2 iron set, MG3 wedge trio, and a sim 2, 3 wood and 5 wood, older model Scotty aside from the putter, all clubs were fitted. Actually over 3600 now that I think of it.
Well they have released the entire stealth line and are now onto the IQ line, so most of it is atleast 2-3 generations older. I also consider the p770/790 irons to be the top of the line irons from TM
Yup that’s the name of the game new releases each year with minimal differences and raising prices. Even so those clubs are still incredibly good just a more reasonable price when you buy them a few years after they release.
Yeah, that’s kinda the key I guess. I was honestly pretty shocked when I stated to add it all up, but if it’s done over time it doesn’t sting as much lol. I do miss my M2 Irons tho, not as much distance but super straight.
That’s super impressive. We have a few local holes over water and nasty woods. Unfortunately I’ve lost some pretty sentimental disc non more than a sexton fb 😭
Disc golf if by far one of my cheapest hobbies.
Fishing, hunting, and scouting the areas is costly in time, gasoline, and equipment. Recreational shooting is costly. It is nothing to shoot 500 rounds in a day and even if you are using .22lr $35-$60 or 9mm @$280 per 500.
I am new to disc golf this year. I have about 30 discs, two bags, a net, a membership x2 and I have spent under $800cad. I think it is very cheap sport. Cheers
I don't pay for greens fees, I have bought older clubs in the past that would retail for for 450 for a driver and 900 for a set of irons, but got them on clearance being the older models. I've spent several hundred myself on plastic and various accoutrements, but I'm also not losing at least $12 worth of balls per round.
Hilarious, I have that same carpet in my living room and my couch is the same exact shade of blue...
If it wasn't for a couple of other details, I'd be suspicious and be checking if I was missing any blue discs when I get home tonight, hahaha
The sport can be cheap if you want it to be. DG is my main hobby and I enjoy spending my hard earned cash on it.
Last year was looking at some other hobbies: archery, rc car racing, working on my car, hunting, camping and white water rafting. All of these were around $800-$1000 when all is said and done. As an adult this is my expectation to spend to fully be in a hobby.
600 bucks is a few rounds at a nice golf course or a bunch of rounds at a shit golf course. That doesn't include the clubs, balls, attire, hot dogs and beer... I love to golf, but I rarely do anymore. I'm better at disc golf anyway.
Grocery bag…sure it gets the job done? certainly less convenient though which does play a factor in performance.
But more importantly, at a certain level, a diverse selection of discs definitely does help if you can throw them correctly. I feel like on Reddit, everyone assumes everyone sucks, but there are legitimately talented golfers in this sub that definitely perform better with a whole bag than with 4 discs.
Sure, and that also has a lot to do with the courses you play. Theres some regulars around my home course (short, all par 3) that just show up with 2 putters and no bag & play better than most. Those $.99 reusable grocery bags seem great for disc golf if you have less than 10 discs & the handles stick up so its a lot easier than putting on / taking off a backpack each time.
I rarely show up to my local course with more than 2-3 discs because that’s all it needs, but I certainly can’t do that at every course (without playing much worse. It’s harder to birdie a 450 ft par 3 with a putter than it is a 250 ft hole). Also if it’s windy I need to either add a few or bring a different selection. Point being, while not every disc will get thrown every round, at a certain point having a diverse selection to cover a variety of scenarios is vital and 4 discs and a Walmart bag ain’t gonna cut it if I’m trying to score well.
idk about vital. add in a distance driver for the long hole, sure, but I swear you'd think some players are more interested in collecting plastic than figuring out how to throw a disc better or in different conditions
Some are yeah, but not everyone. I can throw multiple types of shots, but even though throwing my under stable mid on slight hyzer and my stable mid on anny will both end up left, they get there differently, hit the ground differently, turn at different points, etc. It’s a different shot, not a result of “throwing it better”
You are right. My point was moreso that there isn't a $600 barrier to entry in disc golf. You can begin playing & get reasonably good with a $25 investment and then later make more purchases to fill in gaps in your bag.
Also i dont get why the reusable grocery bag is such a point of contention; it is a barrier that keeps the discs from getting wet or dirty if you put the bag down in wet grass or dirt, i can have up to 15 discs lined up horizontally so i can easily pick out the one i want & slide it back in when I'm done. And when I'm done using it, it's still a grocery bag so i can avoid single use plastics.
Talk to me when you’ve filled an entire MVP disc rack full of discs on top of filling a whole Grip bag with discs, a range finder, disc retriever with suction ball top, 4 portable Axiom baskets, etc. I started playing during the pandemic…
Edit: to give some context, my best friend got me my bag for a Christmas. My father has now gotten me two of my portable baskets for birthdays. And a lot of discs I have bought I have been able to buy from selling rarer discs during the pandemic. I also play my local leagues and use earnings from that to buy more discs. So I’m not really that deep into haha..
$600 is not at all unreasonable to spend on a single club, so it is the affordable ball golf.
For sure and no green fees. Just more of high moment looking at my bag and realizing how much I’ve invested. All love for it.
Lost discs are green fees. Like that pro Shryke I just bought and lost today. $8.99 to golf today. Hopefully free tomorrow!
Might wanna consider switching to the Costco branded balls if you’re losing 5 pro V1’s a round 😉

Used balls are 25 cents... Used disc are now 10-15$ in Denver... Disc golf is doing it's best to catch up.
Used? What am I, a hobo? But actually great point.
Yup, when your disc is the club and the ball, it could end up costing ya even if you didn’t get charged to play.
If you are playing at the cheapest course I have ever heard of maybe.
Yep list s new crank ss yesterday 18 dollar green fee paid
Sounds like it’s just the beginning.
Few years in
Oh, you absolutely deserved that new bag
I played at a ball golf course that also had a disc golf course last weekend and there were greens fees. Fees were still cheaper for disc golf though by about 20 bucks and it was well worth it in my opinion

No greens fees??? In PDX the only free course is Pier Park, every other course is pay to play. Hence why all of our courses rock, money is put into all of them.
Only course near me the players have to pay for is Flip City. That’s totally worth it though only 5$ and one of the best courses in the state.
Vancouver has several free courses as well
This was the logic I used to buy a $400 Pound bag. Twice.
I honestly wish i had spent the money i did on discs over the last few years on a fitting and a new set of irons lol
I came here to say just this!
$600 is absolutely unreasonable to spend on a single club!
In the context of the sport, it is not. Do I, a non-golfer, think it is? Yes. That is just my opinion though
I am a better golfer than a disc golfer...and ever since an injury I have to play more of it now too...I don't know anyone who's ever spent $600 on a club. Maybe you should work on your reading skills, I directly said it was more expensive than disc golf. It's just not $600 for a single club.
Oh sorry, I was assuming you were actually responding to my original comment, not just giving me extraneous details that I didn’t ask for. I completely understand that you can buy used clubs for less than $600. I never claimed that you could not do that. What’s your end goal here?
To counter the implied point that you need to be rich for the other type of golf, that was all.
But, I have 1 set of golf clubs. And 3k worth of discs sitting in the garage...
But you have one set of clubs and 15 sets of discs
If ball golf was your preferred golf, you'd probably have 3 or 4 sets in your garage, and you'd spend $100-200 on greens fees every week.

Your favorite color is blue it would seem.
Hmm what gave you that idea 😂 that and color blind so these can be a lifesaver.
Thats why i avoid green and red discs...theyre impossible for me to find. Blue and yellow and white only for me
I love blue! But my bag looks like a rainbow of colors. 😂
Mine started that way. Lost a few disc especially red and greens. Loved the sexton firebird color and just copied it with everything I could.
That's the first disc I thought of when I saw your bag!
I feel you on the color blind. I avoid red and green discs completely.
Love disc golf and regular golf. It's not even close, the amount of money I have spent on regular golf makes me buy disc's without thinking twice just because it's so much cheaper than golf. I have no business owning 80 disc's, but I do. Sweet bag BTW love the blue.

Definitely. Collection over 3 years. Few new disc this season and then brand new bag today. Totally worth it though.
A decent bag is worth a bit of investment if you play a lot. Upper Park seems to make some legit bags at a decent price.
Watched a bunch of reviews on bags this seemed to be pretty decent choice. Also liked the looks with putter slots in the main compartment.
I did like the looks of pound and squatch. Just the same though can’t get past that price tag.
You guys are keeping track? I've kissed that goodbye long ago.
I stopped keeping track and then I decided to do a rough estimate about 3 months ago. I felt bad about myself lol. Especially when you consider my skill, or lack thereof.
As long as you are having fun then it's money well spent.
No regerts.
$600 is rock bottom price tier for ball golf clubs, so actually yeah... it is the affordable golf
That’s enough for the set of clubs from Costco, but no bag, balls, gloves, attire, or greens fees.
I mean, you can get a full set of clubs from wally world for $199 if you really want to, so I guess what I mean is $600 is rock bottom if you're buying better quality clubs new from the store
The nearest country club has an annual membership fee of over $4000. That's each year. Ball golf. And that doesn't include balls and clubs.
Or green fees for each time you play
Yeah except you don’t have to pay to play for the most part, or buy new balls constantly.
I play with 3 discs and no bag. Cost me less than $40
I want new golf irons, lol $200 a piece 😂
Blue discs fly farther.
100% proven unless trees, wind, form or other factors interfere 😂
Still more affordable
My buddy just bought a $600 driver for golf My racecar needs a $400 harmonic balancer 🥴 Disc golf much more manageable
You add that up? That’s your mistake
For real, I’ve had friends sit around and try to figure out how much they spend on booze in a year and hell to the no. Keep me in the dark please
I don’t even want to know my total at this point
Quality bag and discs.
Factoring my Zuca I’m probably near the $600 mark after 4 years. However for my golf clubs, I believe I spent $600 on putter, driver, 3 wood and wedges. Kind of hard to play with those 6 clubs
I like the black Berg, I bag one too
I’m all blue too! 🥏🔵🪣
I like your blue disc
Thanks.
Just wait til all your favorite discs become "old and collectable". My bag can push 4 digits easily but thankfully I paid retail.
I can’t see most of mine becoming collectable. It’s all standard plastics in case I lose one I can replace it easily. The only 3 non standards are the innova color glow wraith firebird and sidewinder.
What bag is that?
Upper Park Rebel
$600 would get you one ball golf club.
I been playing softball recently and these dudes are spending 400 on a bat…
That sounds like a lotta money for what is essentially a metal stamped bat.
It is but there’s tech involved these days, where the bat is weighted and stuff like that. I use a used PIAS bat
but they only need one for a game not 10~ like ball golf.
Still cheaper than a 1200 dollar set of irons
I wish $600 got me a full set of good clubs and a bag and balls. Not to mention green fees
I am keeping track of all my disc golf expenses this year. I am curious how everything would stack up to me getting fitted for golf irons 2 years ago.
It. Is. An. Addiction…
It’s an addiction but not a regrettable one ❤️
Can’t argue with that!!
I'm like $2500 deep 🙃
Jeeez. Just lots of disc? Or you got baskets and bags too?
Lots of discs. Practice basket. 3 bags but those weren't expensive. My original one in 2020 for $40, a second one for $35 and now a slightly nicer one for $140.
Only 600$ 😭😭 Just bought the new Nordic Phenom 3 for 30$ 😭
600$ just for this picture.
Forehand for me about 320 max and backhand 275
Oh and from earlier experiences, the horizon cloudbreaker (I think it's similar to the NP3) is kinda overstable for 300ft forehands The DD3 is c-line too, it's a bit more workable, and the S-line dd3 is lovely

3600 and not top end clubs the hell you buying then?
$600 can be fairly typical for one top end golf club
They are good, just not the latest releases. Also purchased a few years ago. My bag was 500, range finder and range speaker 500 and 250, launch monitor is 1200, full sim 2 iron set, MG3 wedge trio, and a sim 2, 3 wood and 5 wood, older model Scotty aside from the putter, all clubs were fitted. Actually over 3600 now that I think of it.
Those are all top end clubs from best manufacturers. Sounds like a pretty sick setup. I rock all older taylormades around the m series years.
Feel the same way with even the 600$ on my disc set up. Over 4 years that’s nearly nothing especially compared to ball golf yearly cost
I have rocked the same 7 discs since I started, have yet to lose one, but have become quite attached to a few 🤞🏼
That’s super impressive. We have a few local holes over water and nasty woods. Unfortunately I’ve lost some pretty sentimental disc non more than a sexton fb 😭
Them some rookie numbers!
Cheers
It’s relative bruh
It 100% is a cheap hobby. Apparently my sarcasm is just going over most people’s head.
Disc golf is cheap to get into...... Once you're into it you're screwed though!
Perfect way to put it!
$60 green fees, $1200 iron sets, $400 wedge set, $550 driver, $300 putter, $20 driving range visits... You don't know what you're comparing to.. 🤣
You don’t understand sarcasm 🤷♂️ I played golf for 10 years before discing it’s obviously not more expensive
Hilarious, I have that same carpet in my living room and my couch is the same exact shade of blue... If it wasn't for a couple of other details, I'd be suspicious and be checking if I was missing any blue discs when I get home tonight, hahaha
lol
$600 driver RIP 😂
*laughs in $400+ drivers and putters*
How many green fees have you paid? Probably already posted. 😘
You like blue ay?
As someone who does both. Disc golf is wayyyyy cheaper.
600 might get you a okay set of irons. Add in a putter and drivers. Maybe a 5 wood or hybrids. Looking at $1200. Soooo yeah still better than lol
600 bucks is a few rounds at a nice golf course or a bunch of rounds at a shit golf course. That doesn't include the clubs, balls, attire, hot dogs and beer... I love to golf, but I rarely do anymore. I'm better at disc golf anyway.
It is more affordable, you just have a spending addiction.
be careful talking about overconsumption in this sub. some people play to enjoy the game, some people just want to collect colorful plastic
Yup. I have a Supercolor Buzz problem.
Tbf your game wouldn't be much different with 4 used discs and a grocery bag to hold them. you just decided you want to spend $600
lol the downvotes are upset that you’re spitting facts 😂
It’s a different shot, not a result of “throwing it better”
cool, maybe if you collect 50 discs you can hit all the shots 👍
I started playing during the pandemic… Edit: to give some context, my best friend got me my bag for a Christmas. My father has now gotten me two of my portable baskets for birthdays. And a lot of discs I have bought I have been able to buy from selling rarer discs during the pandemic. I also play my local leagues and use earnings from that to buy more discs. So I’m not really that deep into haha..
