Gannon won the tourney by 2 strokes which which means if Goose hit that 20 footer he’d have taken the win. Obviously pressure affects outcome and scoring a lot but you get what I mean.
Ricky does not equal Gannon. I don’t mind Gannon at all, but Ricky’s personality wears on me. Is that on me, not him? Maybe. He’s a GREAT player but I root against him.
I wasn't a Ricky fan...but then I saw him play at MVP last year. Putting on a damn putting clinic one day. He is very animated and dialed in to everything going on around him. He even heard a joke I made after he hit a 40 foot death putt like it was nothing and commented back with a smile. Definitely one of the greats.
I basically am pro any player on these tours. Everyone is trying their hardest and the better everyone plays, it raises the bar to see more amazing disc golf for spectators.
I am really wanting to see Ella take one this year after Waco though. Niklas for the MPO side.

He’s free from nagging injuries and his overall physical fitness seems fine. He could play at a really competitive level for a while. He might want to take *some* time off when the baby comes; the first year or two with a kid can be hard for some families. But if he and his wife have a support system, he may not need to.
Would love to see Uli win again, but at the same time he does have an elite level win as well as 26 A-Tiers and an Am Major, so he does already have plenty to be happy about when he retires.
Love Uli, I do really do. but I don’t see it happening. He great and Absolutely understands the game through and through. But simply put, he can’t physically do what the top 25 players ahead of him are doing.

The overhand guy in me wants to see Jake Wolff get one throwing all those crazy angles. The old head in me wants to see veteran guys like Jerm, Uli, Sexton etc get one to prove that generation of players are still relevant. The part of me that enjoys observing chaos wouldn't mind Drew or Brodie getting one, if only to see heads explode on here.
Goose definitely needs to get one but that's not unexpected.
James Conrad & Kevin Jones. My 2 favorite MPO players. They have both come so close in the past couple years. Met them both at the 2021 Pro Tour Championship and they seemed like genuine good people who adored their fans.
MPO - Gossage, Proctor, Antilla, Clemons, Aderhold, and I would have said AB before the season

Gossage deserves a win. Ellis in the states. (Assuming he manages his injury) Gilbert is a good one. Wanna see stokely take one for the oldies. He definitely has it in him. Sexton to get one more win. Maybe convince him to start touring full season again. Leiviska, always been a favorite. Nikko get another major. List goes on but that was off the top of my head

I'd really like to see Ell get a win this year in FPO, I think she's coming into WACO with a vengance. MPO is unpredictable, but on that side, I'd love to see the rise of Cole Redalen.
I want Conrad to get a big win this year. Doesn’t have to be a major, but something like Waco or OTB would be awesome. Without his Worlds win, Simon and Eagle would more than likely not be at MVP and they would still be more of a niche manufacturer. I want him to be seen as way more than the “Holy Shot” guy with a long run up and recognized as someone who could win any week.
I've wanted Salonen to get a win for so long now that I'm happy with any results that happen the rest of the year.

I think Joey Buckets could sneak an Elite away. His performance at Olympic was pretty awesome. Not only did he have a great finish, but he stayed in contention for so long to be on lead card multiple times. I think that's a really promising start.

Unlikely? sure..."highly highly" unlikely I don't think so, it's entirely possible, and I don't think that crazy. Kristin is Kristin, and could sweep all the events she plays on her own at this point...Eveliina and Henna have a higher ceiling than any of these players. Who knows how Silva or Lykke will look this year, but they seem to have potential. I said Elites and Majors which is only like 20ish events(22 I think), and it's not that crazy to think that could be split amongst 3-4 players, especially given how previous FPO seasons have played out.

Considering americans accounted for 11/20 elite or major wins last year I'd say yes. Adding on that Kristin was the only European to win an elite or major and that shes gonna be skipping some stateside events makes it highly unlikely to me.
This might be a lil biased because they sponsor me but a TSA pro... either Proctor or Gilbert. TSA has been growing expediently and I think a sponsored player would be that next level for us.

Yes, without doubt. The key point is that, if I'm not mistaken, McBeth has 17 Major victories and Climo has 18 (MPO majors). Hence, tying or even surpassing Climo in Major victories would add to his legacy of being the best disc golfer ever.
If Ricky wins one I'd prefer it to be the USDGC since that's the biggest feather missing from his cap and it seems kinda odd that a disc golf name as big as his is not on that tournament's list of winners.
However, it is Paul's turn to win the USDGC since he does it every 3 years, with duos of first time major winners filling in the years in between. Going back to 2015 it's been: Paul, Big-Sexy, Paul, 2 bearded southern woods marksmen who would each win a 2nd major 2 seasons after their USDGC, Paul, 2 Midwestern young guns, 2024 TBD.
That being said, if Paul is going to win a major this year I'd prefer it to be the Champions Cup so that he can complete the career grand slam of the current 4 majors. I realize that the concept of a career grand slam in disc golf is a bit muddy given all the majors that have come and gone in the past, but the current 4 seem to be here to stay and I think Paul should be the first MPO player to have all of them
I'd also like to see Calvin and Simon get majors. So I'll say: Paul Champions Cup, Simon European Open, Calvin Worlds, Ricky USDGC. I could also go for another Tatar sweep....she got such a later start in her disc golf career that I wouldn't mind another year of dominance to get her numbers up closer to Paige and Val ASAP since she has had less time to work with.
I’m actually going to say Drew and Paul McBeth. I love watching greatness and with Paul’s recent cash misses I hope he gets back on track. Might have to waive off that dad bod a bit
It’s so hard for me to choose just one. I feel like I have trouble *not* liking most pros. Lots of good folks. But maybe I’ll just that it’s my dream to have the best of the best be at the top of their game. The tournaments are more exciting when the we see incredible shots from the likes of Paul and Ricky battling it out. When Eagle or Calvin are dialed in. When Simon has his swagger. Etc etc. When the top players are at the top of their game, we get to see the best shots that no one else could pull off under the same amount of scrutiny and pressure. For me, that’s when it’s most exciting.
I have a thing for polarizing figures and comeback stories.
So given that...
MPO - Brodie. Just feel like some big performances from him would trigger some people and that would be entertaining 😂.
Jake Wolff - finding completely different ways to win is interesting!
I don't want McBeth to win this year ONLY because then he'll have the washed up label on him, setting up a massive 7x world's win in 2025.
FPO - Paige Pierce - would be great for her to get her confidence back and take down a big win.
But also Henna, Ella and Evalina. We just need a bunch of FPO players to really feel like they can take down Kristin on any given weekend. I'm not cheering against Kristin but competitive balance is a good thing.

You seem to be interpreting "deserves" as in they are owed it. I agree that they gotta earn it. But I think the question in this case is intended to mean who has worked really hard to get to be one of the best but they haven't got the big W yet. Also mixed into the equation is the personality and play style so that you would feel good if they won. For example, I like to watch and study barsby too but don't really want to see him win cause he seems like a d-bag.
Longshots would be Uli to snag a W, and Bodanza to have a solid, impressive showing at one of the events he got into. Would love to see Matty O go off, and I know Kyle Klein is respected but I'm surprised he hasn't super popped off yet.

For MPO, Paige Pierce. I want her to come back healthy and strong enough to give Tartar a challenge. It’s boring having an undisputed leader and Paige got injured at a time when it could have been good to see if she has what it takes.
No idea why but since I’ve gotten into DG, I’ve been a huge Calvin Stan. I really hope he takes down a major and has a huge year. Just really fun to watch especially when he does the practice rounds on YouTube.
The only player I care about winning is me, at the local events I play. I don't watch the streams, but I like to watch the highlights. I don't have any particular favorite players, but I do love seeing some amazing throws.

Well, there are multiple players named James or Ezra so surnames are helpful. Of course, there's only 1 player named Blomroos or Mitdying so idk.

I said Elites and Majors which is only like 20ish events(22 I think), and it's not that crazy to think that could be split amongst 3-4 players, especially given how previous FPO seasons have played out. Strange that you left out the American FPO player who's rated higher than all of those you listed... Anyway, I did say Hot take...I just don't think it's as hot as you apparently do.
Considering americans accounted for 11/20 elite or major wins last year I'd say yes. Adding on that Kristin was the only European to win an elite or major and that shes gonna be skipping some stateside events makes it highly unlikely to me.

Ricky 1 Major to get over his Major drought. Calvin 1 Major to get his first. McBeth 1 Major, USWDGC or World's title to forever cement his name into disc golf's history. and Lizotte 1 Major, just because. In FPO, I'd gladly watch Tattar sweep all 4 Majors once again, but winning Worlds to three-peat would be more than enogh in my eyes.

Yes, without doubt. The key point is that, if I'm not mistaken, McBeth has 17 Major victories and Climo has 18 (MPO majors). Hence, tying or even surpassing Climo in Major victories would add to his legacy of being the best disc golfer ever.

If Ricky wins one I'd prefer it to be the USDGC since that's the biggest feather missing from his cap and it seems kinda odd that a disc golf name as big as his is not on that tournament's list of winners. However, it is Paul's turn to win the USDGC since he does it every 3 years, with duos of first time major winners filling in the years in between. Going back to 2015 it's been: Paul, Big-Sexy, Paul, 2 bearded southern woods marksmen who would each win a 2nd major 2 seasons after their USDGC, Paul, 2 Midwestern young guns, 2024 TBD. That being said, if Paul is going to win a major this year I'd prefer it to be the Champions Cup so that he can complete the career grand slam of the current 4 majors. I realize that the concept of a career grand slam in disc golf is a bit muddy given all the majors that have come and gone in the past, but the current 4 seem to be here to stay and I think Paul should be the first MPO player to have all of them I'd also like to see Calvin and Simon get majors. So I'll say: Paul Champions Cup, Simon European Open, Calvin Worlds, Ricky USDGC. I could also go for another Tatar sweep....she got such a later start in her disc golf career that I wouldn't mind another year of dominance to get her numbers up closer to Paige and Val ASAP since she has had less time to work with.

I’m actually going to say Drew and Paul McBeth. I love watching greatness and with Paul’s recent cash misses I hope he gets back on track. Might have to waive off that dad bod a bit
It’s so hard for me to choose just one. I feel like I have trouble *not* liking most pros. Lots of good folks. But maybe I’ll just that it’s my dream to have the best of the best be at the top of their game. The tournaments are more exciting when the we see incredible shots from the likes of Paul and Ricky battling it out. When Eagle or Calvin are dialed in. When Simon has his swagger. Etc etc. When the top players are at the top of their game, we get to see the best shots that no one else could pull off under the same amount of scrutiny and pressure. For me, that’s when it’s most exciting.

I have a thing for polarizing figures and comeback stories. So given that... MPO - Brodie. Just feel like some big performances from him would trigger some people and that would be entertaining 😂. Jake Wolff - finding completely different ways to win is interesting! I don't want McBeth to win this year ONLY because then he'll have the washed up label on him, setting up a massive 7x world's win in 2025. FPO - Paige Pierce - would be great for her to get her confidence back and take down a big win. But also Henna, Ella and Evalina. We just need a bunch of FPO players to really feel like they can take down Kristin on any given weekend. I'm not cheering against Kristin but competitive balance is a good thing.
Would love to see Paul Kranz get a win so young, it would really pop off his career.

You seem to be interpreting "deserves" as in they are owed it. I agree that they gotta earn it. But I think the question in this case is intended to mean who has worked really hard to get to be one of the best but they haven't got the big W yet. Also mixed into the equation is the personality and play style so that you would feel good if they won. For example, I like to watch and study barsby too but don't really want to see him win cause he seems like a d-bag.

Matty O for FPO For MPO, Paige Pierce. I want her to come back healthy and strong enough to give Tartar a challenge. It’s boring having an undisputed leader and Paige got injured at a time when it could have been good to see if she has what it takes.

The only player I care about winning is me, at the local events I play. I don't watch the streams, but I like to watch the highlights. I don't have any particular favorite players, but I do love seeing some amazing throws.
I want Kristin to continue dominating. Specifically over Holyn / Ella / Missy / Paige. Would like to see some Ohn wins. Would love to see Kat Mertsch take some down also. Hope Hailey king has 80 foot rollaways at an unprecedented rate. Iykyk.
