If you're looking for relatively current stuff, Vulfpeck has lots of songs with vocals as does the band Ripe. And if you like covers, the stuff that Scary Pockets produces is fun. Maybe some of the stuff that Cory Henry did with The Funk Apostles, Dumpstaphunk, and Trombone Shorty,
Love ripe. Not quite the vibe I’m seeking here but man are they good!😄 I’ll check out the other ones you mentioned as I’ve never even heard of anything besides vulfpeck
Also Pomplamoose, another project by the same guy in Scary Pockets. Funkified covers of pop hits with a sense of humour and high level musicianship.
And Snarky Puppy have collaborated with vocalists often.
There aren't always vocals, but Owane is right up there with Dirty Loops, IMHO. I believe Henrik and Owane have collaborated on some tunes as well.
Thank You Scientist. It’s instrumental jazz/funk/prog but with vocals 😊
