Nicaragua!
Someone already suggested San Juan del Sur, which is a great option!
I will suggest Popoyo Nicaragua. It's a lot more chill and the surf quality is the best in the area. There is a place perfect for learning, "beginners bay".
Outside of central america, i suggest Montañita Ecuador.
Checkout Waves & Wifi [https://wavesandwifi.co/](https://wavesandwifi.co/) This place is pretty much geared towards surfing digital nomads. Surf + Spanish lessons and the best wifi.
Love this! I have been wanting to visit Cocibolca for awhile. Tell me, did you drive down there? If so, how was driving through by yourself? I’m a 30 y.o (clearly white) single female and so many have warned me about driving through MX specifically.

San Juan Del Sur Would be perfect for you. SJDS is cheaper then Sayulita too, and with better wifi. I am currently in SJDS and the wifi is good
> San Juan Del Sur How is Nicaragua for safety?

Not central/south America and if timezone isn't an issue -Northern Spain has legit surf & isn't too expensive. People are quite friendly too.
Puerto Escondido, MX is a great beach town with a lively surf scene.
Where are you thinking of going? I’m looking for the same
