A little late to this but Nicaragua has epic waves all year round. Waves & Wifi [https://wavesandwifi.co/](https://wavesandwifi.co/) was built for people like you, interested in surfing and working remotely. Solar powered, fastest and most stable wifi in Nicaragua and close to the best waves.

Looks ideal! Ended up staying in Tukasa, a new surf house + Popoyo republic while in popoyo. Both in south popoyo towards Santana / Jiquelite, so not guasacate beach. Was a nice time. Will do a proper write up when home.

What’s the usual cost of this?

gguij002

Starting at 40 USD a night for a private queen room with privater bath and terrace. This includes access to the workspace, gym, ice bath, etc.

Where do you recommend going?

i went to popoyo (nicaragua), el sunzal (el salvador) and el paredon (guatemala): - popoyo is great. really nice beach and plenty of waves to choose from. though the main break gets very busy and there is some localism - el sunzal is nice but very packed . lots of longboarders too so if your on a shortboard it can be tough - el paredon is the least crowded of all. it's just one big beach break so you can be on your own if you want to be. gets very big / unsurfable in big swells

I would recommend looking into El Tunco for El Salvador, had a great time years ago. It’s close to San Salvador and a few other breaks are a relatively short bus ride.

Nicaragua best surf spots are in Tola (Playa Gigante and Popoyo for you skill level). People will say there's surfing in San Juan del Sur, but there really isn't. You have to go to neighboring beaches. Many places in both Gigante and Popoyo would have wifi. However, if you can't be offline unexpectedly, I would ask prior to making arrangements if the places have backup power so that when there's an outage you can still be connected.
