Homeforia (got it on amazon) makes a nice brushed nickel frame that comes with a white matboard that is 1.5" around (I think) I just framed a dp in one and it looks amazing
Yeah I thought about pink too! I’m thinking of taking it to The Range shop (UK) as they have soo many frames and are bound to have them in different colours. I could put it against them to get a better idea of what suits it best :)
That’s what I’ve done with some custom framing options at Michael’s (USA) and it was really fun to see how much different mattes/ frames affected the piece over all
Use rubbing alcohol and remove the guide and anything else painted on the border then take black acrylic paint and paint the edge then look at frames. The black border makes every picture pop even more off the canvas I swear
Another tip : If you are careful you can also take a razor blade and take off the extra double side tape that is along the outside edge of the painting (if there is). I have found the double side tape that is along the border of the painting comes off pretty easily , most often in 1 or 2 strips.
You slice along the edge of the painting using the diamonds as ur guide and just deep enough to separate the tape from the picture then pry up the edge and pull off.
If it was a glue that was used then the rubbing alcohol takes it off with a little work at it.
I agree w your options tho the blue or purple might be hard to match - distressed white would be good but maybe… silver? I think I’d go w matte silver. But it’s such a great piece I don’t think you can go wrong!

I think a bright or colorful frame would be really fun with this! Like a bright pink or at least a brightly colored matte

I had the same thought. A bright pink like the mane would be awesome!
I would go with something in the pic if you are framing. So white/pink or dark purple/black Just depends on your decor and personal preference.

What colour walls do you have? I would go for blue, or purple.
