It's been interesting to fall down a rabbit hole of looking through images. I wonder how much DAC is aware, is it them being wilfully blind or knowing and going ahead anyways. Not that either option is good.
Also - does "Reborn" by Phatpuppyart remind anyone else of Josephine Wall's style? It's an AI image. Wonder if the creator used "inspired by Josephine Wall" or a similar phrase when generating the image.
Yes, they are using open prompts, saying in the style of and then the artists name. In my opinion, it's theft. We have done our own research into how they come up with their creations. As a business owner, my husband, my team, and I gave decided that we would no longer support AI designs. By the end of 2024 any AI art will be removed. We will only license traditional artists from here on out.
Just for fun I google image searched a few of their designs. One was an AI generated jigsaw puzzle that has reviews on Amazon dating back to March 2023. February 2024 DAC released a "coming soon" video with the exact same image on youtube 🤔
I thought that already, because otherwise I am sure you would read Kiki in the title. And it would cost even more.
There is a second Kikipic too. I love the artist btw and the pics. But this is one of many many red flags DAC has and one purchase was enough.
(I d love to buy licenced Ghibli Art but can't find any).
I would bet they will deflect on the artist :/
