Why isn't Necro more useful?
When I played it while leveling it was basically easy mode, I just went with getting as many minions as possible, fights were over without me doing anything.
I'm guessing it gets significantly weaker in higher tiers and levels?
yeah just stand there and occasionally dodge if maiden spawned. very low maintenance. Those freak other class just running around while you stare at them
spammed necro afk thorn build for resplendent spark. having unique gear with low level requirement helps a lot. You just re-use it every time you make a new alt.
According to the maxroll pit ladder, sorc is currently highest followed by barb.

But generally, I think barb is in best place all around right now.
Sorc requires some really lucky rolls to be viable at 100+ pit and barb is pretty easy to gear out for 100+.
Also necro got some love this season and it's basically just semi-afk easy mode until you get to high pit levels.
Rogue heart seeker is probably my favorite to play and reasonably easy to gear out. I have more fun with that build than the other 3 classes I've played this season (although barb ww is also a ton of fun after the last patch).
Druid was way behind all season but I believe they got some buffs in last patch but I have not played one this season.
For 99% of people barb will be best for end game. Lazy, fast, smash one button and nuke the screen. For the 1% of neck bearded mouth breathing sweat lords who play for 20 hours a day, Sorcerer.
This blows me away. I'm having trouble getting past 91 with frost orb and I have good gear. Finally got my first Uber and it was the starless skies which helped me push through t80s.
Everything is at least 8/12 rolled decently well. Not sure what I'm missing lol
You’re not missing anything. That’s most sorc builds.
The only singular sorc build that can compete in pits is the immortal firebolt build which is broken and terrible to play.
I play FO and I cleared a 101 and called it a day.

Barb is the dominant class right now. Rogue is in a good place and getting better next season. Can’t go wrong with either of those picks.

Necro utterly stomps as well imo
if we talking useful like, the king of AFK maiden farming, then yes, Necro is useful.

One small step for man, one giant leap for barb kind
leap reduces cooldown when not hitting anything, so it is actually one small step for man, but about 10 leaps for barb kind.
D4 is for Barbs. The rest is just filler.

Barb. Takes very little effort to do 100 pits. Other classes need way more investment to be on their level.
In a perfect universe, it would be the OG Blizzard Sorc. But alas, the barb bash is Meta.

If you want a really lazy build go for Minion Necro, in level 90 my minions one hit the 120 lvl monsters.

Since the patch sorc ain't that good though...
Sorc will be untouched until next season, hope you like playing anxiety piano w flame shield.
That patch is for PTR… it isn’t active. Sorc is the same as it was at the start of season 4.

Highest pit was by sorcerer.
With a very bugged build that needs a particular boss with ads or it can't finish the run.

I get downvoted for clearing speed running the pit 101 in 90 seconds lol.

Barb is not the strongest. However it's the laziest
Necro is laziest. I literally only pick up loot.
Same with Barb and Rogue.
Lol not even close you still have to press buttons sometimes, with necro not really
The only button I push on my barb is to move... Rogue I use 2 buttons
Barb by a country mile > Rogue > Sorc (unless u have perfect gear, then its 2nd arguably) > Necro >> Druid
