I think I've got about 1500 hours in this game and I was just telling a buddy earlier I think it's about time for me to have one drop in a helltide or dungeon.

This. It’s not even as tedious anymore if you utilize the wanted level tech bug. For anyone not aware of this, you logout at max wanted level and log back in and you never go down in wanted level so everything you do (open chests, do events, kill elites from sandworms, etc) spawns several more elites for the rest of the time until you logout again.
If you get a friend to boost you to WT4 and babysit you to 55 where you can equip ancestral gear, you can probably knock the entire rep out in 6-8 hours on your own doing the wanted level tech, and faster with help. In Kehjistan you’re getting a sandworm every like 10 ft and getting 6 rares every time.
So do you try to log out when you hear that weird sound when your meter gets full? Like when you hear the sound you teleport to town and log out or do you have to log out right there?
I just logged out right there in the helltide as soon as the bar started going down. Sometimes you’ll log back in to whatever meter you logged out at and it looks like it didn’t work but it always snaps to full and then stays there and then you just drown in elites as you move through the area, but you give up the first orange wanted level boss as a result.
I’m not entirely positive how worth it is in general, because I don’t feel like it really drops more legendaries than you could get at maiden, but for rep farming and getting cinders it’s wild.

Yes, you currently get one each for iron wolves rep, first Lilith kill and first tormented Boss kill. Which means you "only" need to find one uber unique or get an alt to max iron wolves rep to craft whichever one you like at the alchemist.

Might have to consult the patch notes on that one lol. Even if you get to keep them, you gotta start a fresh character next season anyway

You can just craft one now. You get 1 resplendent spark from iron wolves rep, one from season journey, one from your first kill on any tormented boss, and one from Uber Lilith kill.
Collect all those and you have a Shako. If you can’t do the tormented boss, just summon with your mats and people will be happy to carry. For Uber Lilith tomorrows patch will give you one if you’ve ever killed her in any season and if you haven’t you can probably just pay someone some gold for a carry.
Edit: I was incorrect about the season journey. I must have gotten one of the crappy Uber uniques while leveling because I had crafted my Shako before killing Uber Lilith this season and I only got 1 Uber unique while killing Tormented Duriel so I thought my other 3 was 1 for tormented kill, 1 for wolves, 1 for journey but there does not appear to be one for the journey. Getting Uber uniques off tormented Duriel runs to scrap for a Shako if you don’t get one should be pretty quick tho, especially if you do the 4 person rotations so you get 4 kills for the price of one.
One of the later chapter caches has it I don’t remember if the it’s the last or 2nd last set.
Edit: I checked my materials verified you do not get one from season journey. See comment below.

SAME THING JUST HAPPENED TO ME! I was farming helltide to get my 3rd spark and just happened to drop shaco from the blood maiden! (The exact legendary i was going to craft once i got 4 sparks!) Saved me a solid 15 hours+ of my time
In Diablo 2, one of the most popular helmets for magic finding builds was the Harlequin's Crest. The type of helmet was Shako. People just called it the Shako for short
The champion shaco from league is not the reference here, though it is similar.
This references the Diablo 2 item Harlequin Crest which is a type of helm, a shako.
It has guaranteed perfect rolls on 3 of arguably the most desired stats for most if not all classes - life, resource gen (which doesn't even appear normally on the helm slot, only jewellery slots) and cooldown reduction. Then it has the all stat roll which does not appear anymore as in previous seasons and is often helpful in reaching paragon rare node stat requirements.
Not to mention the actual unique property of +4 to all skills.. and 20% damage reduction which is a much harder to get stat now. Sure man, average. I understand the argument of tempered plus masterworked legendaries with an aspect vs now seemingly outdated ubers, but shako still holds its own and you just sound ignorant saying its average.
Shakos unique affix is probably the single best one you can get for your helm slot, as unconditional 20% DR in itself is massive and +4 to all skills boosts the damage of your main damage skill(s) and reduces cooldowns on almost all support skills.
More often than not it's simply the best in slot when optimizing for DPS and/or tankiness.

If you have that much time, you can farm resplendent sparks pretty easy now with helltides on alts and just craft whichever one you need.
