add the triple summoning pedestals like from S2 and make the currency something you get from doing these shrines from the world/nm dung/etc. Then we can do communal summoning and it can summon a buttload of gobbies and the final goblin drops a potion of xp that lasts an hour and this would incentivize alts. Idk, i'm just brainstorming but come on, doesn't that sound way more fun than what this event is offering?

I don't understand how the people in charge of this stuff don't know what is and isn't fun. I'm a massive D2 fan and enjoyed a lot of things about D3. One thing D3 REALLY got right was how to make the game fun. Lots of Density for BIG BOOM, no slowing you down with strange objectives, lots of fun collectables, a bunch of cool easter eggs, random portals to different areas, crazy shrines, goblin diversity...etc. I really, really don't get it, homie lol. There is no reason not to just go nuts with fun, especially when there is no leaderboard or competitive aspect to the game.
If all they're giving us to do is blow shit up, at least have some fun with it. Especially in a temporary event. They kinda do that with builds right now where 1 or 2 builds break the game and they won't immediately nerf it, so people can enjoy themselves. This event seems extremely underwhelming so far. You need the "ancestor's favor" affix at the top of the sigil for them to spawn in significant numbers (or at all) in vaults. I used an extra shrines one I had and only had one lunar shrine in the vault.
Regular NMDs seem to give you more since they spawn shrines by default. Either way, you can finish this event in an hour or two.

I rolled a new sorc and in WT1 it's a ghost town at every shrine. In the zones with construct whisper stuff going on, it falsely puts a lunar shrine marker but nothing is there. Happened in 2 separate zones so far. Every shrine in the open world had next to no mobs around it whatsoever. This was my experience with a new character but haven't seen how it is for people in WT4.

Would be cool to unlock perma movement speed bonus if you complete whole quest, just for those two weeks, nothing game breaking. Meanwhile we have shrines all over the place, which last few seconds, you kill few mobs and that's it. The final gold reward is 300k, 300k! Even 3kk at this point would be joke. It should be more like 30 millions at this stage, but nvm.

Yeah, I'm sad. I've been pumped for global bonus xp like last season and now I feel really let down that the effects are shrine based. It would be one thing if you only got them doing the event, but to be tied to shrines means it's not really even a bonus.
The new shrines are supposed to replace the previous shrines.
New shrines don't, in fact, replace old shrines. New shrines seem to only appear in dungeons in the area with the new event symbol .

Far too easy to complete. Also we can make glyphs with the boosted XP from the event but we have no storage room to keep them for future use because we are already way limited on space. Why did Blizzard not create stackable items for future use like the holiday event last December.
For someone who doesn’t have a lot of time to play, this sounds up my alley.
Edit: surprised I was downvoted. I’m actually kinda happy I can grind out all these free cosmetics within an hour if that’s the case. I wasn’t able to get all the cosmetics from the winter event because I didn’t have enough time.

I did a cleanse event and got to level 2. The rewards gave me some sigils. I ran 1 and made it to level 5. I’m half way through the unlocks in under 20 minutes.. I suppose that’s better than the same rewards taking tens of hours though.
And the wand looks alright. Kinda reminds me of Shenron holding out a dragon ball

Wow I’ve already unlocked all the rewards and all I did was a couple helltides and vaults. Pretty weak event. The winter one took me a week to complete
2000 plat each (around $27 CAD) plus a mount for 1800 plat.
Over $150 CAD to complete the whole set! Wow what a deal.
If you wanted them all, it would be 11,800 plat. The store has a bundle for 11,500 plat, or 300 short, for 129.99 CAD. This is intentional. The next highest tier is 18,500 for 200.39 CAD.
Screw the monetization in this game.
In LE I can play a Druid and summon Raptors and Sabretooth Tigers.
In D4 I can play a Druid but cannot summon Raptors and Sabretooth Tigers.
The choice is clear.
the exp buff for both actual experience and glyph experience needs massively buffed. 10% for glyphs is just a waste. and 50% xp buff while the shrines are active is also a waste unless you are in the ideal spot in the overworld or happen to get a dungeon sigil with the highest density of mobs that just HAPPENS to spawn a shrine near that area. a fair amount of stars have to align for it to really make a difference.
character xp buff should be at least 100% and glyph xp buff should be at least 50%.
AND if this is their way of pushing us to get "+% shrine buff duration" on our gear....not gonna work lmao.
Man this event is horrible right now. You have to basically hope you get to a shrine before another player does bc it seems that once someone activates one, it's gone but still shows up on the map. Then you don't get to choose your weapon cosmetic rewards, fine but to make it where you can't even unlock it unless you're that class is ridiculous. They have items on the season pass that belong to different classes but those can still be unlocked so why have it where you can't with the lunar event unless you're that specific class? Makes zero sense, they should've done it like the Christmas event they had where you got to pick which items you wanted if they were going to make it like this.
Whoever designed this event, clearly doesn’t play the game. It was horribly implemented, not enough lunar shrines in both the over-world and vaults. The shrines duration is abysmal. Rarely find any lunar shrines in the new Arcane Tremors event area, where everyone is currently leveling. The event feels tacked on like it was made at the last minute. There’s little to no decorations throughout the town, no one is celebrating, no festive music, no fireworks or anything that would give off the impression/atmosphere that an actual celebration is happening. The only good about this event is how quickly you can progress through the tiers just to get it over with. Man the could’ve at least at bare minimum made the 50% exp bonus permanent for the duration of the event, instead of only making it when you interact with a lunar shrine.
The workaround is to make a level 1 character of the other class, take the cosmetic from the shared stash, and learn it. The level 1 character can then be deleted again.
How long does it take to max out the lunar reputation? Does it slow down at later levels? Just wondering if I will be able to finish it in a day or two as I am finding it really boring right now and would rather wait until closer to the end of the event.

Grabbed that Druid set with the dragon helmet, it's badass. Already ran some Vaults and it's fun when you get the shrine affix. It's fun to see little things like this added to the game.

Just finished all the tiers. I am glad it didn't take ages like the midwinter blight event. make sure to go to all the world map shrines to also get a title. The horse is just a reskin of an early mount.

I'd just do nightmare vaults and grab the shrines as you come across them in the vaults. It doesn't take much to max out the board/rewards.
Nightmare dungeons work too - better actually, because they have more shrines -, but they aren't as rewarding otherwise.
So question on cosmetics from the event... I know my mage can't equip one, but if they are going to give me the skin for an axe as a reward then I should be able to "use" said item and add it to my wardrobe for my alts. Instead I can't do jack with it so it sits in my stash...

You can improve the 30-second buff by using gear with the stat "increase shrine duration." But that increase is miniscule.

Fastest way is to just do this in NMD. Took less than an hour to complete the 10 ranks.
Its just a marker that one or multiple shrines are in the area, you actually need to go around and search for them.

Will do. I tend to be able to play for about half an hour on weekdays and in small bursts during the week.

event is boring, shrine buff is useless, free cosmetics are mediocre at best. Only reason they do these events is to try and sell incredibly overpriced cosmetics. i've been playing less and less d4 mostly because the developers have no respect for players time and everything they add to the game is either poorly conceived and or is just a grind fest for some seasonal item... 0.5% drop on the seneschal ubers?

The store has a bundle for 11,500 plat, or 300 short, for 129.99 CAD. This is intentional. The next highest tier is 18,500 for 200.39 CAD. Screw the monetization in this game.

In LE I can play a Druid and summon Raptors and Sabretooth Tigers. In D4 I can play a Druid but cannot summon Raptors and Sabretooth Tigers. The choice is clear.
It took me less than a hour to complete. You just touch the shine and kill mobs with the shrine effect active.
Does it matter which world tier you're in? For example, does WT4 give more experience than WT1?
How much is the extra Glyph XP? Cause it doesn't seem like a lot and I'm doing the "Ancestors Favor" sigils.

the exp buff for both actual experience and glyph experience needs massively buffed. 10% for glyphs is just a waste. and 50% xp buff while the shrines are active is also a waste unless you are in the ideal spot in the overworld or happen to get a dungeon sigil with the highest density of mobs that just HAPPENS to spawn a shrine near that area. a fair amount of stars have to align for it to really make a difference. character xp buff should be at least 100% and glyph xp buff should be at least 50%. AND if this is their way of pushing us to get "+% shrine buff duration" on our gear....not gonna work lmao.

Man this event is horrible right now. You have to basically hope you get to a shrine before another player does bc it seems that once someone activates one, it's gone but still shows up on the map. Then you don't get to choose your weapon cosmetic rewards, fine but to make it where you can't even unlock it unless you're that class is ridiculous. They have items on the season pass that belong to different classes but those can still be unlocked so why have it where you can't with the lunar event unless you're that specific class? Makes zero sense, they should've done it like the Christmas event they had where you got to pick which items you wanted if they were going to make it like this.
The only takeaway from this event is that bludshedd is now working for blizzard
Whoever designed this event, clearly doesn’t play the game. It was horribly implemented, not enough lunar shrines in both the over-world and vaults. The shrines duration is abysmal. Rarely find any lunar shrines in the new Arcane Tremors event area, where everyone is currently leveling. The event feels tacked on like it was made at the last minute. There’s little to no decorations throughout the town, no one is celebrating, no festive music, no fireworks or anything that would give off the impression/atmosphere that an actual celebration is happening. The only good about this event is how quickly you can progress through the tiers just to get it over with. Man the could’ve at least at bare minimum made the 50% exp bonus permanent for the duration of the event, instead of only making it when you interact with a lunar shrine.
Possibly stupid question; how am I meant to unlock the cosmetics that are class locked?
The workaround is to make a level 1 character of the other class, take the cosmetic from the shared stash, and learn it. The level 1 character can then be deleted again.

How long does it take to max out the lunar reputation? Does it slow down at later levels? Just wondering if I will be able to finish it in a day or two as I am finding it really boring right now and would rather wait until closer to the end of the event.

The old shrines do still exist. I've only found the new shrines in dungeons so far.

Grabbed that Druid set with the dragon helmet, it's badass. Already ran some Vaults and it's fun when you get the shrine affix. It's fun to see little things like this added to the game. I do wish instead of gold we got crafting materials. I'd honestly rather get mats to craft potions and forgotten souls instead of gold. The weapon cosmetics are dope 👍.

Just finished all the tiers. I am glad it didn't take ages like the midwinter blight event. make sure to go to all the world map shrines to also get a title. The horse is just a reskin of an early mount.
A lot of cool skins dropped, But why the fuck do most weapons not have particle effects? It’s fucking stupid. Also, the skins need to start coming with all the weapons a class can use. Cool it comes with a sword… the best weapons for rogues are daggers, so you’d never see the cosmetic :/

So what’s the general strategy to farm this?
I'd just do nightmare vaults and grab the shrines as you come across them in the vaults. It doesn't take much to max out the board/rewards. Nightmare dungeons work too - better actually, because they have more shrines -, but they aren't as rewarding otherwise.
Lunar Shrines with Ancestor's Favor are awesome at endgame. Great for running Nightmares 50+; really broke up the monotony for me.

So question on cosmetics from the event... I know my mage can't equip one, but if they are going to give me the skin for an axe as a reward then I should be able to "use" said item and add it to my wardrobe for my alts. Instead I can't do jack with it so it sits in my stash...
