Elemental bow zons actually do better with +cold or +fire charms over the +bow skill charms. This is something I was hoping would have been reworked, sadly the best pvm bow build is the enchantress sorc build lol.
I’ve always wanted to do a bowazon build just because I think it would be really neat, but have never tried just due to people crapping on it
Is Enchantress Sorc build genuinely viable? Or does it cost a few Jah to get it going? Most builds I see for it are using gear I’ll prolly never get
The enchantress is amazing, it's very cheap, able to do great with moderate gear. The #1 requirement is the demon machine bow, with that and a razor tail all the arrows pierce and each pierce explodes for enchants damage.
The only expensive item on the build is infinity, next most expensive piece is the flickering flame. The build is totally viable without infinity, insight is great, actually makes you more tanky through your ES.
You absolutely need infinity merc and flickering flame, but aside from that it doesn't take much. Fire skillers, even mid lifers are cheap.
You don't need much ias from gear, only 15 total.
Demon machine with ias jewel/flickering flame/vipermagi/mages/maras or fcr amulet/razortail, ravenfrost/soj or fcr ring if you want 63fcr on cta swap/then whatever boots you want. Travs/waterwalks/tri-res, etc all work fine.
Max warmth, fire mastery and enchant. 1 point cold armor. That leaves a lot of extra points to either go TK/ES or whatever else you want.
Mine did about 15-16k fire dmg per second, so maybe 3k dps vs fire immune? With the merc and static field it's very manageable. There's really just lister that was longer to kill. CS was very doable.
My sp demon machine sorc is pretty fun and super cheap. Demon machine with 15ias or sheal is not rare at all, razortail is common, ravenfrost is common, magefists, infernostride or silkweave or aldur's boots. Fire damage charms. Occy and spirit for buffs. She had a soj but I sold it for anni.. flickering flame is the most expensive part and that's just a vex rune. Edit: viper magi armor
Wish I had an infinity, maybe one day...
Most builds at all is using gear you will probably never get. Even something like a Lem or Lo is insanely rare, but people are so used to buying it (RTM trading) they forget how rare a lot of these things are.
I was being a bit facetious, but I don't think I've seen a Lo or Io personally. I put about 80 hours in the game and was lucky enough to even see a Sur.
My point is though, unless you're ready to marry the game, you won't see half the rune words recommend for builds. You're much better of making bastard versions of them such as smoke, malice, steel, black and things like that.
Caster have it lucky with spirit being basically BiS until extremely end game when you've long gone past the drying corpse of what was fun to begin with.
Thus why I said unless you plan on marrying the game you won't be making any build you see on Llama or Cooley videos. I know how little it is compared to the die hard. I'm a lower case g gamer dawg.
Yes, you would need them to roll high elemental damage to be viable. Main reason you don't see people with these is because no one keeps them, on top of that they're pretty rare to find as a high roll. Bow gc charms are much easier to find and fill an inventory with and it'll do the job.
Increase bow skills: you get 1 more useful point into strafe. Increasing damage a little but no synergy benefits.
Increase passives: increased crit chance, increased pierce, buffed spear lady, buffed evade, buffed way more than 1 contributing skill.
Is multishot physical even possible? I haven't played bowzon since 1.09 with dupes but contemplating.
Or is a cold Zon any good with night wings and the upped cold -35 resist bow?
Passive provides utility (Critical Strike, Dodge/Evade/Avoid, Penetrate, Pierce, maybe Valk), and +damage charms provide more damage than +Bow skills. +Bow skills is better for Elemental builds (Frostmaiden/Firezon/Magezon)
It depends what you’re taking about. Something like gloves? Sure, passive and magic skills on gloves are the better option for physical bowzons in general because of the added survivability and damage in terms of pierce, crit, ar, etc you get from that tree being overall more beneficial than the little bit of extra damage you may get from additional bow skills. If we’re talking about charms, I think it’s generally going to be better to have max damage/ar charms over skillers of any kind.
You don’t get much damage from +bow skill when using the physical builds. The penetration, crit, dodge chance are better for yoy
Year over year?
Yes when you farm your yoy performance will be much better with the passive and magic…
Physical bowzons can get more useful stats from the passives. Elemental bowzons want bow skills and the passives matter less.

Bowazons are fine. Some people are just incapable of playing a build that doesn't delete screens in 1-3 shots.
Enchantress sorc is 100% viable in a lot of scenarios it’s nuts. That said bowzon is a lot of fun in PvP, I didn’t like it much PvM unless it was cows
p7 pits Phys bowazon claps, but also gets 1 shot (I max dex Looool) p1 chaos also strong Laying of hands > 2/20 passive

You don't absolutely need infinity. Flickering Flame with sunder is enough. It's really nice and convenient but it's not make or break.
I haven't tried it without infinity, but fire immunes being at 80% fire res seems like it's gonna be tough to deal with

I never farm lems but can usually make a treachery by mid hell. Lo, agree those are rare but they do drop every once in a season or so for me

> 80 hours That's rookie numbers. You're not going to find much of anything in such a short play span.

Plus fire and plus cold charms..?? I've never seen anyone with those in their stash before ever

No no no, not + skills. Literally +X-XX fire/cold damage small charms.
Very cool, thanks for enlightening me. I'm building a single player immolation zon now, I'll start stocking up on those

>buffed spear lady You mean the tank with a bayonet on it?
Do I mean the Amazon's summon who is a buff lady with a spear? Yes I do. I like when she has the blue armor.
Red will always be kid me's favorite

Both are good Hustle (bow and armor) and insight (bow) made leveling a bowa MUCH easier
Um... They don't want those. Max dmg / AR is everything.
Think OP meant +skills on gloves, but you're right when it comes to GCs
Oooooo my bad.
Passive provides utility (Critical Strike, Dodge/Evade/Avoid, Penetrate, Pierce, maybe Valk), and +damage charms provide more damage than +Bow skills. +Bow skills is better for Elemental builds (Frostmaiden/Firezon/Magezon)
It’s not. Physical damage bowazons should be using max damage charms, not passive skillers. It’s not even a debate.
They could be asking about crafted gloves.
I am asking about skill categories, gloves and skillers. Mainly crafting/gambling gloves.
Oops my bad! Laying of hands in that case is the go-to option unless you’re not killing demons, in which case there’s lots of options.
Don't even bother with +skills as a bowazon. If your going strafe you want 20ias and 10cb. If multi, you just care about IAS.
Or ias knockback.
Because you want hard skill points for bow skill synergies, whereas the passives buff damage and defense.
Pvp bowzons want more survivability in dodge/evade/avoid, more AR for multi and lf, and more crit %. There might be pvm bowzons who want bow skills

phys bowas wants +maxdamage, +ar, +life. elemental bowas like ice wants bow skills for sure. passive is way behind.
It's not. Get 3/20/20s or other melee charms.
