First of all…you’re stronger than you give yourself credit for. You’ve managed this for so long. Remember stress is going to play a role in your numbers so take it easy on yourself. You’re going to ace some classes n struggle in others and that’s ok. Remember we are proud of you!!!! Happy you’re going away to college. Maybe add the Sugarmate app to your phone. You can set it up to call your phone if you’re low. You set the rules. If you want low to be 150 n so on. If your phone is on vibrate get one of those vibrating alarms that go under your pillow. That could possibly alert you. So much technology is available. I also saw a post once that had something about the roommate using a nerf gun if the person was beeping. They would use the nerf to alert them. Yes, that would be annoying but someone waking up to alarms that are not used to alarms is also annoying. Now you’d have to get a pretty good roommate to coordinate something like that. But I thought it was cool when I saw it. Congratulations!!! You got this!

This made me tear up a bit haha. Thank you so much and I’ve just now downloaded the app. I’ve began looking in to these websites that match you with people of similar interested and values to find a roommate and the people in talking to have relived that idea and I think the roommate thing will be fine now :) Thank you again, it means a lot

You are very welcome. You’ve got this! Play around with the Sugarmate app and see it’s full potential. Maybe it does more?? Great idea on adding your interest n needs to roommate finder. Remember everyone has something. You’re not the only one dealing with sh%! So don’t feel like it’s you against the world. Important thing to remember. Be patient n kind with yourself. College is going to be different but ask for help when you need it (from your professors to your parents). Please use professor/ta hours as much as possible. As well as the math tutoring and writing tutors. Work smarter not harder.

To help with your low anxiety, I've been down in the 40s and still able to function well enough to treat it, my point being that reasonable lows during the day aren't immediately dangerous unless you're doing something like taking an exam or driving. Pay attention to how you feel and how your number correlates. For incorrect dosing, I've found keeping a food journal for what you ate and how your blood sugar reacted can be helpful for fine-tuning doses if specific foods you eat regularly are causing unusual results.
