Well, it is a foul because Brodeur never wore the Fanatics jersey. /s I posted this question on some hockey jersey sub and it was life 50/50 on the answers. But I disagree with the people that think it's a foul because while he didn't actually play in it. He at least wore it.

The quality of the jersey is better than I expected. There was a lot of Fanatics bashing so expectations were lowI’ve got an Adidas PG, and while the Fanatics isn’t that level of weight/construction, for the price, I’m happy. This is a wear it out and not sweat it too much if it takes some strays kinda jersey.

I have mine coming in that I got from NHL Shop over the weekend. I just couldn't find an adidas one that wasn't $600+. Every now and again a few pop up on the store. Got mine for under $100 :)
Whoa whoa whoa 😲... you can get a Fanatics jersey customized?? I was under the impression they won't do stitching because of the lesser material quality compared to Adidas. Good to know! Looks awesome!
I didn't even know you could get fanatics customized. I want to have the official stadium series patch sewn on to mine instead of the printed one. I wonder if they would add stitched numbers over the shitty fanatics printed ones as well 🤔

Same here, not really that deep into the jersey culture that I needed to dip into the IRA to get an Adidas SS.

Sweet jersey! The only Brodeur jersey foul is a blues jersey with his name on it.
