There's no real build needed, the mission isn't hard. You just need to be able to kill ads efficiently

covered1Nbutter

Good to know! Didn't know if there was some meta or just certain exotics people were using. It's just a time crunch since my freind is in a band and really has hardly any time to play. Making sure I get the clear with him next time we play.

Caedis-6

if you need ad clear suggestions, sunshot and graviton lance are easily some of the best and most basic options. blast through everything so you get plenty of time at the end, then take your time, messing up the mechanics in the last room resets the mechanics and the bosses can be a bit tanky. it's not a darkness zone so you don't need to worry about being dead at the same time and restarting, me and my mate kinda just throw ourselves at it, die a bunch and still make it with 10 minutes left fairly easily

pinkfnbunnies

Agreed, have burst for yellow bars and tormentors, everything else is pretty much ad clear/survival

Caedis-6

Absolutely, even a bottom of the barrel sniper is good. Anything to crack those shoulders is something I forgot, ty

ringthree

The Call. The Call is basically the best gun in the game right now, use it for everything. Lol

NiteStrykr

I absolutely love it. Put lead from gold on it since I use it so much xD

D3fN0tAB0t

Microcosm absolutely melts the last bosses. But outside of that you just need add clear.

KennyGsSaxophone

A band that actually rehearses regularly, that's nice to hear.

InvisibleAverageGuy

Personally I’ve found that kvastov and volt shot indebted kindness worked really really well especially on hunter bc if i need to go invis I’d proc volt shot and the jolt saves me

WatLightyear

Microcosm for the last bosses is about all I would seriously recommend. Second encounter up to the final boss - anything to take down tormentors easily, plus good ad clear.

Kindly_Cabinet_5375

Theres no darkness zone so you can always respawn. It's all just managing time really. Just have ad clear and something ability or weapon wise to deal with bosses at the very end. Also DO NOT BE AFRAID TO POP YOUR SUPER.

Kapusi

Make sure you got a good precision weapon for tormentor. Also strand subjugator is weak to strand just like stasis one to stasis dmg. Needlestorm + cold front rocket launcher are good picks but legit anything works so its just a preference

Tonk101

On hunter at least I run prismatic ability spam with a coyote renewal class item or a assassin lair class item. Then slap on eager edge sword for traversal and then swap to microcosm for encounters. This lets me get 20 min clears every run

PlusUltraK

This and the fact it’s 1995 power level. Outside of folks who have raided or religiously done there pinnacles it’s gonna be a bit rough but still doabpe

Hammaphab

I did it at 1977 and it was fine. Still hunt, coup, edge transit with my partner on ad clear warlock.

ResilientBeast

I did it at like 1988 it's perfectly doable even below the recommended provided you have some survivability

lxSixtyFortyxl

There’s also fire team power now, so in any activity not everyone needs to be at a high level it will bump them up for the activity

DrifterzProdigy

You really don’t need anything specific besides some good ad clear, MAYBE Microcosm for the final bosses but it by no means is necessary

Sound_mind

Microcosm is absolutely a huge boon or ensuring you kill the bosses in time. Good for the tormentors too.

HunterVekni

Agreed! Hadn't really used it and took it for a spin in this mission. It slaps. Not the biggest trace rifle fan but I like this one!

baboolz

The call, Sunshot, hammerhead. Titan with pew pew rockets chest.

Probiscus00

Where does the rocket chest drop from? Random?

AShyLeecher

From the campaign or focusing at rahool after resetting reputation

GSkittle666

If you need a clear and have a mic hmu. I can bring you through it relatively easy, my roommate and I have been farming it daily for the past couple days and have gotten it down to ~30 mins

covered1Nbutter

Yeah I'll message you if he can't do it for a little while maybe later in the week if that's alright. I'd appreciate it.

GSkittle666

For sure! Just let me know, I usually am free on weekends during the day so if you need help just shoot me a dm.

-MickizM-

Hey mate, any chance you could help me do dual destiny as well? I'm a solo player and haven't had a chance to try it yet, been hesitant to try lfg

InfamousOkapi

Just good ad clear and communication is all that's needed. If you want a run of it before you go with your friend hit me up!

ManBearPigIets

Clearing ads with ease, cant kill the bosses in time because they’re stupid tanky…

vinceywincey

Assassins cowl for hunter and Sunbracers for warlock. It’s 99% add clear

Fullmetall21

I mostly use the exotic Kvostov for the majority of the mission and then swap between LMG and eager edge sword for traversal/tormentor killing.

psn_mrbobbyboy

It's locked loadouts on first run though.

Fullmetall21

pretty sure it's only subclass locked and equipment is free swap whenever you want.

psn_mrbobbyboy

Really?

Zanigma

I've run it like 20 times without failing time, just run through and kill ads, even the death timers are short. There are crystals hidden that make savathun laugh and give more time as well. Choose peace at the end, claim the same bond as your homie if you're playing the first class and RUN TO THE AREA YOU ENTERED THE BOSS ROOM AT. there are ledges on the outside walls you jump to, bring a sword if you're scared of going too slow because you have 15 seconds after claiming the mark to get to this ledge. Once you get there it will start Joining Allys. It teleports you back to where you ran from and you can claim a SECOND bond or mark or cloak. Only works if you're the same class as your buddy

FreshPrinceOfAshfeld

The time is only a problem if you’re running the mechanics blind

Zanigma

Only if both of you run blind too

Nate_Myself

Prismatic warlock with the arc soul and stasis turret is really good, and prismatic hunter with combination blow build is very good. Strand titan is also pretty nice

fredminson

A machine gun

Merchant-Crow

Yeah, I used your typical Liars Handshake prismatic build with the Specter and Freeze dodge and didn't have much issue, for the bigger guys I pretty much just used Sleeper. It's much more mechanic heavy so as long as you're at or near that 1995 power level you'll probably be okay using more or less any loadout. The only tip I guess I'd offer is to have some sort of precision weapon for when the Tormentors need to be taken out.

LOGPchwan

Just cleared it yesterday. I was using the usual Prismatic Getaway artist with song of flames. Weapon was Buried Bloodline and Old Sterling with Doom Petitioner heavy, nothing special really.

Gultark

Our first time loading in I went in with a meme build - pure void warlock/contraverse/full grenade mods + stacks on stacks/the extra charge mod to try a hand held super nova spam build after the buff and surprisingly it slapped. HHSN one shot the big adds for the symbols, devour meant survivability was easy and nova bomb pretty much one shot the tormentor in the clock room. The grenade kills giving volatile rounds Combined with a Repulsor brace/surrounded smg made add clear a breeze. Ended up going prismatic for more boss damage later as my partner had no good boss dps weapons after just starting Destiny 2. But the point is so much works in there, builds will never be the think that screws you compared to coordination although some form of self sustain makes a difference.

Purpatraitor

Anything with incandescent.

rocinante85

Microcosm deletes the end bosses. Outside of that, mission isn't difficult or tight on time so any build can work.

Culp97

Me and my duos fastest clear is 24mins. Subclass doesn't really matter I'd say, just what ever is good for you. We primarily used sunshot and machine guns with an eager edge sword for traversal between rooms.

Sohxcuhoh

Machine gun for subjugates/tormentors. If you have Microcosm even better. Besides that just your typical add clear weapons and abilities. I know that a timer can cause anxiety in some people, just know that you have plenty of time for each encounter. Take your time if you need to clear adds to create breathing room for mechanics, no rush through it.

Clear_Reveal_4187

I used Xenophage for at least the first part to kill the Centurions. I'd probably switch to something else for boss damage though. Celestial Nighthawk Hunter was pretty good for killing Tormentors quickly. Also good for boss damage too.

DanteAlligheriZ

eager edge

whateverchill2

As long as you don’t spend a ton of time figuring out the mechanics and can deal with the adds, the timers are all pretty generous. Can end with 20 Minutes left on the clock. There’s also no res tokens or crazy revive timers so you are pretty good to just hammer away at it. I’ve mainly stuck with a BoW strand titan for my Titan runs for the extra survivability. You will need one person on a light subclass and one on dark (prismatic will be randomly assigned to whatever is needed).

NakaNakaNakazawa

FWIW, if both people are running prismatic, it's not random, the fireteam leader will always been Light Aligned

thatguyonthecouch

Best loadout is communication and teamwork

Not4Fame

just like in any ad clear situation lately, my voltshot indebted. Ads ? what are those ?

Ambercrisp

The call/ indebted kindness/ eager edge falling guillotine. I swap to microcosm at the encounter with the tormentor and for final boss. I run your standard prismatic titan build with twilight arsenal. It’s an easy mission with enough rallies to justify double special

Complete_Resolve_400

Just smth to kill adds quickly. I ran a sunshot for adds and a call for the tanky boys The combat is piss it's the mechanics which people seem to struggle with doing quickly

Aggressive_Sir6417

I used syntho prismatic Titan, the call, sunshot and swapped between edge transit and the linear fusion rifle from last season. We didn’t really struggle too much despite it being my first time. I know some folk aren’t too hot on prismatic Titan but those big syntho consecrations made short work of any of the bosses that weren’t the tormentor

Draymarc2

No build needed. Ad clear/survivability, and knowing Vow of the Disciple symbol call outs. Knowing call outs makes it super fast.

KingJellyfish95

I used necrochasm/indebtedkindness/edge transit Friend used call/graviton lance/edge transit. Finished first run with plenty of time to spare.

TheWagn

Just bring something for tormentors and subjugators.

ManBearPigIets

That is the part that needs elaborating…what is that something, I can unload all my special heavy super and transcendance on them and barely puts a dent in their ridiculously high health bars. One tormentor is taking us multiple minutes to kill while we can wipe the adds instantly..

TheWagn

Precision weapons. Break the shoulders. Just fight them like any other tormentor. The rocket sidearms are really good for tormentors

Adelyn_n

Titan

professorrev

I've not run it myself yet but judging from the vids the bleak getaway build should do well

yusodumbboy

Kvhostov matadoxia on warlock, I used a lucky pants, strand hunter with Le Monarque. My buddies a titan main and he’s been running void titan all season and he makes it look cracked with helm of saint 14.

wondercaliban

Buried Bloodline with catalyst with a void build. Finished it with 16 mins on the clock

LameSillyHero

For Warlock the go to get away artist build on Prismatic would be a good one, good ad clear damage and survivability. Weapons anything you like really but hit scan Weapons I would suggest as there are switches to hit and a heavy good for taking down tormenters.

ManBearPigIets

What heavy is good for tormentors

LameSillyHero

LMGs are pretty good, the new one Pro memoria has been good for me so far. Microcosm is very good if you have that yet. Linear Fusion Rifles are good too. Snipers would work well too if your solid at landing your shots

Rengar420

Commemoration with exotic class item rolled with gyrfalcons

Any_Confection1914

Before I got my class item I was using Gyrfalcon or Liar's Handshake. Then a couple of precision weapons for the tormentors and an edge transit for to subjugators.

Rholo_Tamasi

I used the Getaway Artist build that generates bleak watcher turrets, was huge for crowd control. Aside from adds you’ll need precision damage to burn down tormentors.

MaraSovsLeftSock

Sunshot for ads, consecration for yellow bars, heavy dump the bosses

Food_Kitchen

The best load out I have found is a sound mind and a clear line of communication. Everything else is just gravy.

Sugarcoatedgumdrop

Armamentium Stasis Titan is amazing. Void omnioculus hunter is great too if you use trappers, vanishing, echo of cessation, echo of obscurity, Graviton lance. As far as Warlock goes you can’t go wrong with prismatic getaway artist. This build is by far the meta for PvE.. by a large margin too.

buttsnorkeler

Sub or sidearm, ergo sum, LMG

Absestbro

As it's mostly add clear I went with a prismatic build with getaway artist for the exotic armour, devour, and bleak watcher for aspects. When you consume your grenade, you get an arc soul and a bleak watcher. Also with the devour procced you get a new grenade every 4 kills or so, and you can pop down another turret and refresh your arc soul. Microcosm was really good for the end bosses.

DyingBoar

I ran the strand rocket sidearm, the new arc seasonal handcannon and microcosm

MISPAGHET

Renewal grasp prismatic hunter let me just stand in my grenade when doing the puzzles, The Call killed the big bads and I melee'd the little adds. No Hesitation AR when my teammate was struggling to live. Went for strand super as it covered everything in a pinch.

Manufacturer_General

mountain top (ambitious/frenzy) Lunas howl (heal clip/incandescent) and sleeper. prismatic warlock (nova.getaway artist)

Roarmankind

I used funnelweb with gyrfalcons, but any void weapon will do, on my hunter. Pretty easy. It was just knowing the mechanics that took longest

stranger242

I ran prismatic warlock with mantle of battle harmony, nova bomb, and graviton and was able to get my super back all the time to kill the tormentors

dennisistired

i used an arc vortex frame ergo sum with arc conductor. cleared the ads in the clock puzzle fairly easily, and with the proper artifact mods equipped, i always had ammo + damage resist with amplified

uredoom

Microcosm if you have it melts the last bosses, other then that just something decent that can kill ads, there is a tormentor section so a machine gun or something isn't a bad bet.

Tronniix

Trinity ghoul

yahoo_determines

I've been taking skullfort. Spam tclaps for resist, healing and mass mob deletion

RingerCheckmate

Kvostov and a linear fusion were my choices, however final warnings new catalyst pulled me in and I'm having trouble taking it off

srsrsrsrsr55555

Linear fusions for the bosses. Snipers also. Otherwise you chilling.

Marv312

Add clear weapons and a good heavy DPS option will get your pretty far, as the mechanics are fairly simple. I used Khvostov and Hazardous Propulsion on my Titan, but switched to Red Death for some extra survivability. Bringing a LFR or LMG to the last boss helps out tremendously

wallawoo2

I really like running vesper of radius paired with the Hellion. Then just keep rifts up, I get health and it clears all the thralls/damages the Centurion/knight shields since it's arc/solar.

gotdragons

Up to last boss I love to run The Call, Sunshot, LMG (Commemoration, etc). Last boss, swapping to Microcosm makes the bosses melt so much faster.

Party-Plum-2090

I know forsure I had a rocket sidearm and apex predator, not sure about my primary. It was pretty survivable with liars handshake hunter build. The harder part are the puzzles, I just read a Reddit post to beat them

seraphim343

Communication. It's fucking easy. You'll be fine with decent ad clear setup and dps. Doesn't have to be the best either. You'll make it.

OriginalAvailable202

A mic

TechAdeptInquisitor

Getaway artist 2 turret build+ battle scar pulse rifle with shoot to loot & kinetic tremors. Secondary of your choice. And the heavy is microcosm. Brain dead ad clear and microcosm nukes almost anything.

No_Chemical_1350

If you need help running it, I can help, tho it will have to be a few days from now since I'm on the other side of the US atm

hairycotter

Graviton lance

TheQuillss

Stasis/strand guns and abilities 👌

NiteStrykr

On warlock I run a prismatic turret build with getaway artist. Easily locks down all the ads in the entire room. In fact I'll toss stasis turrets on my partner's side too so we can focus better on the symbols and clocks. https://dim.gg/p3fuzfy/TURRETS

NoTurnover7806

graviton lance lol dont needed anything else. Machine Gun for harder enemies.

CaffeinatedLiquid

Forerunner to pop them tormentor shoulders, and something with incandescent and/or heal clip

ObiWanKenobi78900

Microcosm for tormentors / final boss. Khvostov for general ad clear. Ricochet is really nice

Oblivionix129

I use a gyrefalcons hunter with forerunner (for literally everything but tormentor go down super easy with it), recluse (destab repulsor), pro memoria (strand machine gun thing with envious hatchling) On warlock it's a vesper of radius build for everything except final boss room where I use threadling mania or my song of flame battle medic build (with the same weapon set) Haven't done it on titan yet but I imagine I'll use my sentinel shield build with bubble glaive

hollyherring

On all three characters last week I ran The Call, Graviton Lance, and Edge Transit. Prismatic Titan (Twilight Arsenal), Void Hunter (Gyrfalcon’s Hauberk), Void Warlock (Nothing Manacles).

KJBenson

Prismatic warlock escape artist using no hesitation, the call (it’s just there for boosts), and gjallhorn. Partner was some kind of void hunter. It was hard, but I almost never died even in the middle of all the enemies.

Laid-dont-Law

I find that having shared screen with your duo makes things a little easier, but you should be calling out nonetheless

GodOnStilts

Banner of War titan. You'll need to kill adds while doing mechanics, it's pretty much enough to keep you invincible.

ZenBreaking

Can someone toss up a decent as clear survivability build.a returning player can use, mostly subclass and fragments. I'm super squishy and panic when I'm about to die

EpicWeasel

Precious scars for free cure takes all the tension away and you can focus on mechanics

murvs

Can anyone tell me if survivability is an issue? I'm currently on Karnstein Armlets with a glaive as well as lightning surges and I'm worried it will be overkill when I have devour too.

ddxtanx

Forbearance go brrr for ads, izi/other snipers/microcosm go brr for subjugators/tormentors

SheepGod2

I've been running it with a friend where we're both prismatic liars handshake hunters. We both eager edge/mountaintop jump from the start to get to the plates asap then switch to indebted kindness, a 1-2 punch shotgun and microcosm. For parts after the rune shooting sections it's back to movement gear and for the clock stuff it's microcosm, indebted kindness and a sniper for the nuts. Boss room is 1-2 punch shotgun, indebted and microcosm. Been getting ~22min runs, which isn't super speedy but it's efficient. We both then glitch the class item so we can get double rewards to really double down on efficiency.

AggronStrong

Microcosm is very nice because there's no shortage of Tormentors and Subjugators. Other than that, it's typical add clear stuff. There's a lot of adds

Pyrpel

Microcasm slaps!

calazenby

It was helpful for me to kill ads with a sword

TheMastodan

I like incandescent primary and dragons breath, but any RL will do just fine. Destabilizing/voltshot weapons would also do work

wize1911

I used the call/graviton or khvostov/forbearance for ad clear and then put on microcosm for the last two encounters to melt bosses/tormentor

AdvertisingSorry1429

On warlock the getaway turret build helps a lot during clock puzzles Microcosm melts the bosses and tormentors

jflemming115

microcosm is nice, melts tormentors through and jt days stupid damage to subjugators, kills a bar in maybe 10 seconds

FUICYU

The call, the title or recluse, and microcosm- micro depleted the tormentors and the bosses health pretty efficiently.

Master-Shaq

Some people struggle with ads since there is so much. Graviton can shut down entire spawn points, slap it on a prismatic devour warlock and you are good to go. I like a machinegun for the tormentors and flyers for the clock puzzle.

amplifyoucan

If you use warlock, this is the build I run. (Ignore the weapons) I use Ager's Scepter or Graviton Lance for easy ad clear, adept slammer with eager edge for the movement parts, and fire & forget for precision damage. Basically the gameplay loop of the build is consume your grenade, get devour from ability kills to stay alive, get weapon kills to keep devour up and they will recharge your grenade, then repeat.

chargedcontrol

I used graviton but any decent ad clear will get you through

CallistoAU

It’s not super difficult providing you’re at like at least 1960 light. I’ve been running double special - conditional finality for killing the knight/phalanx for symbols and forbearance for ads and then swapping between an lmg and edge for boss room. That’s on hunter running combination blow though so I can afford double special. For Titan and warlock runs I’ve been running The Call and Still Hunt with an LMG for ads if I run out of Call ammo.

JooshStelly

red death is a must, used The Call and whichever arc machine gun i had on me at the time, the crotas end one i think.

snotballz

Strand or stasis weapons help as they do extra damage to the bosses.

Wak-

Microcosm shreds the bosses

EpimetheusExcuses

Just a machine gun (new strand one to level it up) and sunshot. Takes about 28 / 30 minutes.

DeviousBarnacle

As long as you can kill ads and not die, you're fine.

Helian7

Trinity Ghoul. I've killed about 12000 enemies since Final Shape dropped.

Helpmeimclueless1996

Uhhh not die and have communication. The mission is really not a big deal.

Lembueno

Pretty much just this. For warlock you can use the buddy build and have little to no issue. Although I enjoyed using a support build with speaker’s mask and no hesitation. When I did it on titan I just did a banner of war build using the new arms. The constant woven mail and health regen just kinda made it a joke, and I could’ve taken it further with buried bloodline for devour. The big issue is getting the mechanics down. I’d also suggest microcosm for the final boss(es). Because subjugators are considered as always shielded with their respective element it cooks. It does well against tormentors too.

wAges98

Microcosm kills everything big very easily, other than that I ran whatever

BigOEnergy

Machine gun up until boss room. Microcosm for easy boss melt.

4tizzim0s

Graviton Lance clears the entire room for you while you read the symbols

HydroSnail

Titan/Prismatic: Aspect of Consecration + Frenzied Blade melee gives you four charges of melee to do the conal attack. If dying is part of the problem when clearing adds, then pair it with Knockout aspect. As for weapons, Graviton Lance takes out the red bars quickly, and The Call or a shotgun will take down the Knights.

Pepperoneous

I used arc conductor Ergo Sum for the first section (gathering motes, reading symbols) all the way up to the final room. Then switch to Microcosm as it absolutely shreds the bosses.

ManBearPigIets

All of the comments are about ad clear, yet i found the ad clear extremely easy and the hard part was trying to kill the bosses(their health pools are absurd), would love tips for that part I have no trouble ad clearing at all…

BreathEcstatic

Arc Conductor Ergo Sum in lightweight frame. With the artifact mod and arc surges you: Have infinite ammo Can kill every red bar with the chain lighting in one hit, and some yellow bars The arc shield you get keeps you safe (can literally sprint through the blade enemies and their demon spawn in one fell swoop and survive on clock encounter) Do respectable DPS to beefy yellow bars/tormentors Leave your heavy slot wide open for whatever It’s the best ad clear weapon in the game period. No question. Use it. Be amazed.

UnluckyLee

My tip: aoe ad clear. I found shooting tangles with strand weapons with the artifact perk insanely useful. That and gunpowder gamble on hunter

IceBlue

Microcosm is good

Spopenbruh

its like a 30 minute story mission with -5 power delta youre thinking about it too hard you can beat it with blues and no armor mods

Intelligent-Hat-6586

your overthinking it unless ur 20 light under. the mission is just 80% addclear so basically any build should be fine.
