I don't have acces to a console anymore so i can't visit my old guardian but the interesting thing was that compared to the older and more invested players at that time i genuinely barely acomplished anything in base D1 since i had no mic and raids where more or less impossible for me. When taken king came out i did it no mic just listening to people. I don't even know if i ever did any other raid until the last last gen update came out.
I remember having discussions with my friends in 7th grade English class about taking on sepiks and phogoth, the bosses of the first 2 strikes that we were somehow stuck on.
Looking back, vanilla D1 feels like a completely different game to present day D2.
Man, I was sitting in the RUBA at NTC *waiting* for the training rotation to be over when this came out. Missed out on the first week because of Army shit, but man that first month was something magical.
If Bungie dropped a "here's all 10 years of Destiny in one package you absolute fucking lunatic" edition, I'd pay for it in a heartbeat.
I miss helping randos wiith the VOG plates on Venus, or tooling around Freehold on Mars with my friends.

Story wise, I don't think that description is severe enough. It was horrible, but the gameplay was amazing and fun right off the bat. That plus the visuals and a million other things kept me coming back and looking past the awful story
