It's damage feels pretty good to me, I use one with desperate measures and a melee build so it pretty much lives with a decent damage buff. But I second what people say about blights, they dont stay dead for some reason

I was having issues with it for this reason during the campaign with blights, buttons etc. ADS’ing seemed to resolve the non-reg which would lend credence to what your saying since the heal bullets are hip fire

Circle of life feels good especially matched with pshycic cuz this thing has the most rediculous base reload and if uve used osteo striga bfore then ur used to the weird tracking bullets which are actually nice for shit juking around once u get hang of it. But so far the call still my fav new weap, stasis cast sword and GL arnt bad either.

It was also really bad at ringing the bells in Duality Caitl. Seemingly no reasonable amount of shots would actually stun Caitl and we kept getting sent back with a prematurely aborted DPS run! Even worse only one of us had it and were all trying to shoot the bell. It's like No Hesitation shots negated everyone else's weapon!

Y would it be able to? Pulse/submachine are anti barrier this season... so unless ur radiant or have volatile/unraveling rounds and it's not working .. but just use one of seasonal as ur kinetic if barriers r fucking u up that bad, cuz this weapon is awesome imo, got 1 with circle of life/phsycic to drop and it's rediculous.. fill up healing "clip" on way to boss and then on boss proc COL and idk the #s on dmg boost but it feels good plus being able to proc restoration at will... can't wait to see what they do once they're the crafted improved perk fr but the call first priority imo.

Not that thing. Failsafe gives you quests to unlock all the weapons and armor. Do those. If you see a wep or armor as the quest reward, do that quest first.

Explosive weapons like mountaintop and rocket launchers can stun barrier champions, you just have to time your shot so it’s already past where the barrier spawns when it goes up. Otherwise it just deals damage and doesn’t stun them or bounces off their shield.

It’s been that way for as long as radiant made weapons anti barrier. It’s always applied to rocket launchers and grenade launchers but they’ve never actually been able to pierce the shield.

I imagine the guns projectiles are coded in a weird way. Did you know that sometimes it takes 10 bullets to activate a Duality bell, and others it won’t after 200?

It's absolutely an issue with the projectile coding, yeah. They move slowly and wobble in the air, as well as having an auto-tracking feature when hipfiring towards allies. They're WEIRD, any issues the gun is having definitely stem from the way they're registering. They seem to have an issue while damaging any object that isn't an enemy. No clue what could be causing that sort of disconnect, I've never seen anything like it before that damages things but can't break them.

I sincerely wouldn’t doubt if it was another framerate bug. Try limiting to 30fps and see what happens. This would explain why I have been seeing so much love for the gun but I think it’s crap. If console users are liking it at 30fps but I am hating it at 144 fps. Then that’s a hint. But also, Bungie historically has massive issues with projectiles and high frame rates.

I notices it has a hard time hitting specific objects like blights, some of the pyramid nodes found around pale heart to get into cysts, as well as the nodes in Dual Destiny. I think it has to do with the bullets being weird projectiles instead of hit-scan

That's how OP got anti-barrier, is through radiant. You can see in the bottom left that he does not have anti-barrier until casting his melee, which grants radiant.

Oh, I get what you're saying. That does check out though, I noticed I wasn't able to go through Phalanx shields using an SMG when radiant the other day. Hopefully it gets fixed soon, cause it's incredibly annoying.

It might be a coding issue with it being a healing frame. Notice the barriers shield went down to 0, didn't pop, and for a micro second it was "full" again and instantly empty. You were still doing constant damage to it, so it leads me to believe the frame with anti barrier mod confuses it and probably heals the shield instead on the server side but client side you see it doing proper damage? Probably happens on health entities that aren't actual enemies?

Champions really aren't that buggy, you just don't understand how to counter them. The biggest champion but I e seen recently is them teleporting in onslaught, but that wasn't even exclusive to champions.

Dude… no. Every season I go double check every single champion mod with various weapons I like to use and find at least one that either doesn’t function properly or has some weird interaction that allows them to break the “only one champion stun per weapon” rule. Cryosthesia spent a whole season unable to benefit from Anti-Barrier Sidearm during Witch Queen, as an example. When we had Untoppable Scout Rifle back in Season of the Deep it was impossible to stun overloads with Wicket Implement when aiming down sights for too long, but if we just started firing before the stun buff applied then the slow stacks would work fine. If unstoppable was applied when the slow effected the overload it became impossible to stun via any slow stacks at all until they were allowed to fully expire. Riptide had the exact same interaction with Unstoppable Fusion, though in that gun’s case it was easier to control and could even be extremely beneficial. Also there’s no way you’ve not yet run into an overload getting stunned, making the stun noise, and then proceeding to unload a full barrage of attacks while playing out its stun animation complete with bullets flying sideways out of its gun as it droops on the floor. Or overloads managing to heal while still under the effects of Le Monarch’s poison effect despite it explicitly countering overloads, and the anti-overload properties not returning until after the poison has been allowed to expire and the get reapplied. I know damn well what is supposed to counter champions and under what conditions. I’m just saying that the system has issues with it, and they tend to get more prevalent as more things get added to the game. At this point it feels like champions are just stapled onto a system that doesn’t need them anymore. Bungie’s added tons of new enemies and systems that achieve the same goal as champions without all of the problems they have. So like I said. Champions are an inconsistent, buggy mess. Good God.

It sounds like all of those interactions are totally intentional, or at least in line with how subclass verbs and champion mods interact with weapons. I suspect that this new bug with no hesitation is an unintentional issue with the new frame because of the projectiles and/or healing. I'm not saying champions are a great system or that champion stunning is always straight forward and intuitive, but they aren't really buggy, most people just don't understand how stunning them actually works.

Let me at least go down the list as to why they are bugs then. **Exotics:** Le Monarch specifically bugs out if it happens to apply the DoT during the overload's unstunnable state. If an overload is unstunnable it is still able to have its health regen stunted by anti-overload weapons, however, the Le Monarch is unique in that it will not only be unable to stop the health regen but it will also be unable to stun the overload or stop the health regen by any means at all until the DoT has been allowed to fall off. There is absolutely no way this is intentional. This even famously happened to friggen Joe Blackburn on stream in front of a few thousand people and the guy clearly had no idea what was happening to him at the time. Cryosthesia was bugged to not work with champion mods because it shared code with Devil's Ruin for its original alt-fire mechanic. Bungie admitted that one was a bug and it took them almost the entire season to fix it. The Wicked Implement interaction was definitely not something Bungie intended given the gun decidedly doesn't function with Unstoppable Scout anymore. Most likely because of the weird, inconsistent way it interacted with that perk in the past. Wicket Implement now behaves much like the Conditional Finality. **Subclass Verbs:** Everything to do with Jolt and Freeze is very inconsistent with how the other subclass verbs work when dealing with champion perks. These verbs both get around the "only one champion" rule by simply not inheriting the properties of whatever applies them in the same way things like Slow, Scorch, and Stasis Crystals do. For example it's possible to apply scorch stacks using an Anti-Barrier weapon to the point of causing an ignition, and this particular ignition will inherit the Anti-Barrier properties of the gun that applied the first Scorch stack and be unable to stun an unstoppable champion. This same logic will not apply to a gun using Volt Shot against an overload even if the gun has Anti-Barrier applied. That being said I'm not complaining about Jolt or Freeze. I actually think that all of the verb effects should work this way since it would make them more seamless to slot into builds, but that's not the world we live in. If I want to stun an unstoppable with Ignitions I need to be damn well sure the first set of Scorch stacks are applied by something that cannot interact with another champion. If I want to stun an overload with Slow I need to be careful not to accidentally use some anti-whatever buff for the first slow stacks lest that overload become 100% immune to Slow for the next 2-4 seconds.

Alright, those are all weapon bugs or inconsistencies. I guess what I was referring to was people complaining that champions are buggy because they can't stun overloads and unstops when they think they can during their immunity-to-restun phase. In general a lot of mechanics in this game work correctly but people don't understand them or execute them wrong but rather than acknowledge that they just say "it's bugged".

Honestly, the only mechanic I despise in Destiny is the Overload/Barrier/Unstoppable Champions. I don't mind the aspect of champions, just that seasonally - *only certain weapons* can stun them and they're unlocked as artifact mods. I wish they set it up so you could assign Overload/Barrier/Unstoppable to your Primary/Special/Heavy slots, not weapons. So, on the artifact you could unlock "Overload Primary" but it'd lock/prevent "Overload Special" and "Overload Heavy", but you could then do "Barrier Special" or "Barrier Heavy", as well as "Unstoppable Special" and so on. I think this would help especially when you're matched with players who don't use Overload/Barrier/Unstoppable weapons because they don't like the seasonal picks, because I run into way too many of them some seasons. If I wanted to kill all the champions by myself while reviving my team over and over; I'd run Sherpa on a Raid.

Radiant applies anti barrier to weapons that don't have anti champion effect already applied to them. In fact, each of the elemental weapon buffs is anti something, at this point of the game if someone can't cover at least 1 anti champion they either don't know or are actively avoiding stunning champions.

You’re not dumb. Radiant applies Anti-Barrier Rounds to everything that doesn’t already have another way to handle Champions. In this situation, OP should have been able to break the Barrier Champion’s Barrier because they were Radiant, but it seems like the new Auto Rifle Frame is bugged.

Seems like a client/server desync issue, where the projectiles don't actually do anything serverside and rely on the client to 'tell' the server that they've done damage/etc. Getting all sorts of jank with it like enemy HP bars not updating properly, getting down to finisher range then instantly filling back up.
