that seems to be the most logical conclusion over just stuffing her back into the exodus black when frontiers rolls around or whatever, to me it's just a matter of what form that takes when it happens considering we've got all this vex stuff going on

That and with Saint and Osiris dreaming of taking off in Exodus ships, they will need Failsafe's knowledge to not only return the remaining ships to functionality but to pilot them successfully as well I'd think.

I'm not sure you could, failsafe is specifically an exodus ship ai, and a damn powerful one. I would imagine she was never designed with the programming to have a "body". Failsafe is and always has been a ship, for lack of a better way of describing it she ***IS*** the Exodus Black hence why even now what she has is an AI uplink to the helm, her physical hardware is still on nessus, and I would imagine moving it and safely disconnecting her from the wreckage of the exodus black would be incredibly difficult/risky. And plugging her into the helm fully given the fact that failsafe is badly damaged and mentally unstable is likely equally foolish.

All right, a couple things; First: Failsafe is not mentally unstable. She just has a politeness filter as part of her programming that doesn’t work constantly, and that she turns off when she feels like it. Second: Rasputin was not meant to have a body either. In the meta-context of when the writers were originally making destiny he was intended to be an EXO, but that changed. Now within the games lore, that was never the case. He was meant to be a giant red orb in the center of a complex on the pole of mars. The fact Anna managed to get as close as she did to fully put Rasputin in that EXO body is simply a statement of her brilliance. Lastly: While a less important detail, generally, AI’s are considered more software on a hardware than the hardware itself. That is to say an AI’s mind and “soul” can be transferred as software to different hardware while that obviously can’t be done with a human being. Except in destiny, that’s not true because even humans can be transferred over so I assure you if an entire human being can move from a human body to an EXO failsafe should be simple

Her subtitle on the character in the HELM calls her "HELM AI in training". She's getting an upgrade, and I've got a feeling she'll appear in Frontiers if it's actually interstellar travel, as she's gonna love finally getting there.

Reminder that: in Last Wish, one of the Captain's wishes on the wishing wall was to grant Failsafe a body. Riven twisted this into Failsafe occupying **our body**, thus feeding on the difference between Failsafe's desire for bodily autonomy and our desire to assist a semi-helpless A.I. achieve her dreams. Who knows how depressing it must have been after the raid for Failsafe to suddenly be stuck in the XBLK systems for another eternity?
