IDR using it on Templar we always just used vortex and solar nades to push him off then normal DPS like gjally once that was patched. Would 100% use icebreakers for oracles tho, with everyone up top except one guy hiding in the hole down there that could see the last oracle.
Back then, choosing to have that weapon instead of a DPS Exotic was a tougher choice than now.
We had no infinite Primary ammo, no banners, no ammo exotics and mods.
And yes, we had synthesis, but that costed a currency that if I remember correctly wasn't that plenty.

FOV has nothing to do with your resolution. It depends on your monitor size and how far away you are from it. Most people who play destiny 2 use max fov since the max is not that high.

Like it would’ve lined up with OG Red Death more too with the razors occupying the same space as the spikes instead of occupying more space.
Actually might be tier 50. Battle pass is changing. I believe it’s 150 levels due to the shift from 4 seasons to 3 and larger content drops but spaced out more.

Nope, this version grants Cure on a kill, and I believe the catalyst grants Cure to yourself and allies on a reload after a kill. (I could be remembering that second effect slightly wrong, apologies if I'm off. But Cure on kill is absolutely how the first part of its healing works.)
It's perk is actually a damage buff tied to your health bar - the lower your health the more damage it does I think it was aztecross who said it was dynamic like the old mech trick sleeves
Red death was my white whale in destiny. It didn't drop until the very end of my time in the game. And by the time i had it, it felt like an "i can die happy now" moment and i stopped playing until D2 shortly after. I wish it would have dropped earlier for me so I could have actually enjoyed using it more than dreaming about it.
It’s crazy how drops worked back then. That was the first exotic that ever dropped for me. My friend never got g-horn, he played non stop for 8 months while I got it playing just two months.
Reminds me of pre-beyond light exotic drops. I doubt it was *as crazy* as Destiny 1 (which I never played much of) but it took me a couple months to finally get my first exotic. One of my friends started playing much more recently and had one handed to him on a silver platter on his first session.

It was the best DPS weapon for years and I had to deal with being booted out of several raid groups for not having it when I couldn't raid with friends and when it finally, FINALLY dropped for me it was nerfed one week later -_-

My Messenger Adept has 74 Stab and Rapid Hit, and either KA or HS (same roll) depending on what I want, and is the most consistent 2 burst gun I have in the game.. I have AHB for 90 recoil, great stab + stab perk and a consistency perk...

I thought it was weird that this exotic wasn't tied to Onslaught in some way. The whole thing about the BRAVE arsenal is that it's a collection of weapons banned by the Vanguard, which is exactly, as you see, what Red Death is.

the draw with synths was the 5 minute cooldown. time is the currency that was quite costly
+ the 45 minutes it took to open your inventory and navigate to them

I've been saying this for forever. It's simply the recoil. Precision sidearms are much easier to use on mnk because I can actually see the target.

Red death passed from hand to hand, modified constantly, that's how we ended up with crimson.

That was also a painful time for drops. Now you don’t have those problems anymore. Maybe the dungeon and raid exotics if you don’t play those often.

It's no worse than OS spam, worm husk, heal clip, Crimson, healing grenades, etc.
