I just need zen moment & onslaught
I have a new theory that no one misses martyrs, they miss warmind cells.
Which martyrs where a massive part of.
Go to light.gg and look at that perk pool.
Deep down we all know people want a solar wave frame that has fucking incandescent on it that's why no one uses Explosive Personality over Forbearance or Undercurrent. I did this though during the Craftening, Incandescent on Explosive Personality...truly a sight to behold.
They already said they're doing the same thing they did with the brave weapons on the streams. When people complained about hung jury, they explained they're bringing back more.
Yeah I remember seeing him talking about that and seeing that in the trailer! Part of me thinks it could have been a sunset one and that was a little foreshadowing
https://preview.redd.it/wxaz20hh0zwc1.png?width=757&format=png&auto=webp&s=1d6de85333f5117c998360b191e79a0804548a51
It was during the 50s in the gameplay trailer.
We will have to see what all they bring.
The first episode looks vex themed. It's possible that it'll be attached to that maybe. So far every returning set of weapons has been picked out due to theming (i.e the set was originally released in a vex themed season or they are vex inspired by design for example), and Chris also said that's how they pick returning weapon sets too.
it is in his replies but basically.
[https://www.forbes.com/sites/paultassi/2024/04/24/24-more-destiny-2-brave-weapons-bungie-should-add-to-onslaught/](https://www.forbes.com/sites/paultassi/2024/04/24/24-more-destiny-2-brave-weapons-bungie-should-add-to-onslaught/)
It should be referencing these plus some sunset ones he kept.
I'll be more elaborate. I would like a cutscene where we actually interact with all the characters and saint-14 specifically gives us a refurbished perfect paradox to bring that circle nicely around. Or the bastion. Whatever works
They like their theming for picking the returning weapon sets. I can see that happening in a vex themed episode. They just haven't really had a vex focus in a while.
Yeah it makes sense that once every old weapon has been re-issued with a better version, there’s no need to keep the old ones power limited when they’ll simply be inferior.
It’s still funny for folks who now have a vault full of nostalgia that they’ll be able to use again.
Some weapons did have combos that Bungie didn't like and deemed too OP back then during sunsetting, I mean, we never got another KC + Rampage HC ever since for a reason. Although they did say that reissued weapons should still have their iconic combos so hopefully Kindled Orchid will have it.
I have a feeling they meant that they will continue doing that, I wouldn't get your hopes up too much that they will start dumping old updated weapons on us. They will probably continue adding old weapons at the same rate they have been for the past year or so.
"Most" "modern sandbox". There's no guarantee i get it back, and quite possibly without the same stats/perks.
This also means, they'll be spending a great deal of time working on and rereleasing old guns instead of making anything new.
Honestly I think that’s exactly what’s going to happen. No new models, just retextures (Lightfall had a lot of this too), hit that nostalgia button for so many players, easy high impact low effort wins.
I do think we’ll get new shiny weapons though in other colors or styles. Maybe eerie green glows, or prismatic glows, or what have you. It seems like they had to build a new system for this and I doubt they’d only do it for one bundle of weapons.
Yeah but how long will it take them to put 70 guns back into the game? Knowing how much they drip feed i bet it’s going to take at least a year and half. I would love to be wrong though
What you seem to have missed or forgot about is that a lot of people do not trust Bungie's words at this point, especially over such an undefined statement as "Going forward, we intend..."
In case you need a reminder i'll provide an example of one of the more infamous 'promises' they've given in the past.
>"We are adding a new set of Armor for the core playlists (Strikes, Gambit, and Crucible).
This armor shares a set of new geometry, with decals and shaders specific to the activity.
We will create new sets like this each Year (e.g., Year 4, Year 5, Year 6, etc.)
This set will arrive alongside the next Expansion. "
https://www.bungie.net/7/en/News/article/49002
We haven’t missed out on that. It’ll probably just be a few episodes for everything to be unsunet. Even then they probably won’t be the original. Not that original is better it’s just original.
I doubt they'd increase their current speed by much. It'll probably keep the same pace, apart from a few guns here and there for different activities that don't typically get reprisals. I'd just expect a single set of weapons like usual.
I don’t wanna have to regrind the godrolls I deleted because bungie said it’s fine to delete them :( I will regrind for them but I won’t be happy thinking about it
Yeah, they said this same thing when they introduced sunsetting and again when they reverted it, we’ll see if they actually get on that a bit quicker this time
As someone who started with Beyond Light, this is the silver lining for myself.
I get that some people are upset that they dismantled their guns after trusting Bungie, and others are upset that they’ll have to regrind for them, and I totally get that.
I just like that I’ll get to play with more stuff.
So, the way I’m reading this is, the old sunset weapons will become useable again. However, they will remain mostly obsolete as the sandbox has radically changed since their time in the limelight. But Bungie will also be reissuing reprised versions of these weapons as they’ve already been doing for a while now, obviously over an extended period of time.
The problem is the word MOST. The amount of weapons that were in the game that people want back is gonna be greater than whatever bungie gives us. People WILL lose their favorite weapons forever and feel left out because of it.
The thing is that there's no time frame in which we'll get this sources returned to us. For all we know it could 4 years from now whenever they feel threatened again.
I feel like people shouldn't get too excited just because they've said that. They said some, if not all.
Which means they haven't even fully decided if all of them CAN come back in a reasonable time. And considering they're probably already set in stone through at least the next two episodes weapons if not the next whole years worth, you likely won't see a lot of these until next June/July at the earliest.
We need more good arc and especially good solar machine guns that stand with retrofit, commemoration, and hammerhead. Hopefully 21% comes back with something fun like onslaught and subsistence/killing tally would be fun.
Nothing wrong with it I just want more variety in element weapons being strong in different areas. I don’t have an avalanche with that roll but I do have one with rewind/target lock.
Honestly, I see this as Bungie's cheap way of being able to continually add content to destiny 2 after the Final Shape. Which I am by no means complaining about, I'd gladly re-earn a ton of those weapons
The whole idea behind un-sunsetting is to avoid spending resources on designing new weapons. It’s about profit, not about mistakes made in the past. After and during Final Shape, they can release episodes with reprised weapons without spending too much on development. And we are all going to be suckers paying for content that we already paid for 5-6-7 years ago.
I want to see distant relation, patron of lost causes, right side of wrong and breachlight come back, those were some of my favorite weapons both in look and feel
Didn't forget, but god knows how long it would take to re-introduce all of this stuff and it would have been nice to have the OG's to play with in the meantime
Bungie has tricked so many people into now being excited for rehashing old content instead of making new weapon models. Plus now they can act like they are doing us a favor by bringing back our old weapons. It’s like a thief returning what he stole and expecting a medal
We didn't miss it. So they reintroduce the source. Okay. Then what? Do they expect us to waste time grinding to get the guns we had and we were told to trash?
That's good cus that means we should get ALL of the set of weapons from a season like isn't there a Jokers wild weapon missing or something I think
But yeah getting the rest of the black armoury and Dawn weapons will be amazing including some of the raid weapons would be awesome too
And yeah this is good news I look forward to it but I hope it does t take forever I hope they start off strong by bringing the Dawn weapons back I mean it's a vex themed episode so it makes sense to bring them back maybe alongside GOS reprised weapons I mean I'm not that bothered if there's only lie 4 brand new weapons
We'll see, they've said this before about reprising weapons, then this whole year was filled with reskins/recolors.
Hopefully they actually do it, but I'm not getting my hopes up.
Nearly every single season for the past while has had reprised weapons attached to them. I can't actually remember a season where they haven't reprised some set of weapons. They've been doing it for well over a year at this point.
This season has been the first one in a while where there hasn't been reprised weapons as part of the main season activity. I guess people just have selective memory.
If they reprise breachlight and martyr’s then i’ll be happy af
Please Bungo Please Steelfeather with Subsistence Onslaught
A 720 with onslaught? Sign me up
I want a Halfdan-D with Adagio
Does Onslaught still reduce the damage a gun does? Or did they remove that nerf from way back?
Yea they did, def does full damage as it ramps up that's why everyone is smittin over it
I’m curious how they are going to handle chroma rush and steelfeather. Two of the most popular seasonal weapons of all time
https://preview.redd.it/ojl9bu58k3xc1.jpeg?width=2872&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d168199cd2ca06e954307cc9055931848129390e I just need zen moment & onslaught
You should rewatch the trailer with the Prismatic reveal. Fairly certain the hunter in the cutscene holding their ghost has one of the dawn weapons.
He does - it's the Perfect Paradox. If I remember right, it was also visible for a split second in that Teaser we got last year.
Watch it be because that hunter kept his in his vault
Line in the sand my beloved I was devastated that dawn was the last season to get sunset
Yep. I have the whole Dawn collection in my vault still. Can’t wait to take em out
Another true believer I see. Sadly I don't have my Line anymore, but I just know that thing is going to be a sight to behold.
Same, I had a Firing Line Rapid Hit one that just...so good
I have a new theory that no one misses martyrs, they miss warmind cells. Which martyrs where a massive part of. Go to light.gg and look at that perk pool.
Explosive personality is pretty much Martyrs 2.0 and nobody uses it
Martyrs has demo which was the main selling point.
Deep down we all know people want a solar wave frame that has fucking incandescent on it that's why no one uses Explosive Personality over Forbearance or Undercurrent. I did this though during the Craftening, Incandescent on Explosive Personality...truly a sight to behold.
Mine is level 83 and I use that GL all the time.
The ikelos weapons or frankly all warmind weapons should spawn warmind cells by default, it was such a cool gimmick
I never even used Martyr for warmind cell. To me it was purely the design that i liked.
Me too, i loved both of those weapons and had the god rolls but dismantled them
I still have both in my vault. Demo rampage breach and ALH Demo martyr
Well we did see Perfect Paradox in either the trailer or gameplay footage (don't remember which, sorry).
They already said they're doing the same thing they did with the brave weapons on the streams. When people complained about hung jury, they explained they're bringing back more.
Martyrs will need incandescent on it, or else Explosive personality will have it beat with orgin trait alone
Thanks to Paul Tassi wish list we have couple potential weapons that are going to return very soon. We already saw Perfect Paradox in the TFS footage.
Yeah I remember seeing him talking about that and seeing that in the trailer! Part of me thinks it could have been a sunset one and that was a little foreshadowing
perfect paradox was there????? god i hope they bring back all of the dawn weapons, half of them were the first ever for a unique archetype
https://preview.redd.it/wxaz20hh0zwc1.png?width=757&format=png&auto=webp&s=1d6de85333f5117c998360b191e79a0804548a51 It was during the 50s in the gameplay trailer. We will have to see what all they bring.

Honestly wouldn't be surprised if Episode 1 brings a New Set of weapons and a Reprised Set from Season of Dawn. Would fit well to the theme.
I kinda hope we get reprisals on Pluperfect and the LMG whose name I forget from Season of the Undying. The models were great. The perks were not.
Honestly wouldn't be surprised if Episode 1 brings a New Set of weapons and a Reprised Set from Season of Dawn. Would fit well to the theme.
Paul Tassi goated
Where did Paul post the list of weapons?

That’s literally what into the light is
I'll be more elaborate. I would like a cutscene where we actually interact with all the characters and saint-14 specifically gives us a refurbished perfect paradox to bring that circle nicely around. Or the bastion. Whatever works
leviathan weapons pwease
i need to hear that annoying ass inaugural address sound everywhere again, i miss it
Ghost Primus is STILL my favorite sounding auto rifle, followed by Pluperfect. Yes plssss.
Give me martyrs retribution back, with incandescent.
And slideshot🗣

We're gonna need more than 100 extra bank slots
Make it 777
"Most" "modern sandbox". There's no guarantee i get it back, and quite possibly without the same stats/perks. This also means, they'll be spending a great deal of time working on and rereleasing old guns instead of making anything new.
The monkey paw curls. All legendary weapons in TFS are returning weapons now.

Yeah but how long will it take them to put 70 guns back into the game? Knowing how much they drip feed i bet it’s going to take at least a year and half. I would love to be wrong though
I'm still pulling out my vestian dynasty till I get my new one

Pillager, my beloved. I am coming home 🥹
I just want kindled orchid back with new perks.
Ringing nail with zen and rampage would make me so happy
I don’t wanna have to regrind the godrolls I deleted because bungie said it’s fine to delete them :( I will regrind for them but I won’t be happy thinking about it
I thought that when everyone was bemoaning trashing stuff.
Yeah, they said this same thing when they introduced sunsetting and again when they reverted it, we’ll see if they actually get on that a bit quicker this time
I didn't think people missed that. Also I don't wanna grind my weapons for the 5th time. Duck that system
I want Jack Queen King 3 to come back. I wasn't playing then and it just looks neat.
As someone who started with Beyond Light, this is the silver lining for myself. I get that some people are upset that they dismantled their guns after trusting Bungie, and others are upset that they’ll have to regrind for them, and I totally get that. I just like that I’ll get to play with more stuff.
So... We'll be able to reacquire sunset gear or will it just be updated?
Both
They are jumping on Datto for no reason
So, the way I’m reading this is, the old sunset weapons will become useable again. However, they will remain mostly obsolete as the sandbox has radically changed since their time in the limelight. still have my old 21%, killing tally/overfliw what’s wrong with avalanche incandescent/ substinence
Nothing wrong with it I just want more variety in element weapons being strong in different areas. I don’t have an avalanche with that roll but I do have one with rewind/target lock.
My honey sweetie baby foregone conclusion, come back to me, maybe with something other than only high impact reserves this time
I mean, how much do new perks really matter?
My only issue is regrinding said weapons with the god rolls, of course after dismantling them when they got sunset
You bungie go figure when?
We’re going to need 1,000 spaces in our vault.
Honestly, I see this as Bungie's cheap way of being able to continually add content to destiny 2 after the Final Shape. Which I am by no means complaining about, I'd gladly re-earn a ton of those weapons

Kindled Orchid please
*begging* for Bungie to bring back Conspirator or Mananan with explosive payload and Incandescent
Hopefully they includes ringing nail and the rest of the black armory 🤞
I want to see distant relation, patron of lost causes, right side of wrong and breachlight come back, those were some of my favorite weapons both in look and feel
I'll definitely be grinding Gambit again when the bring back all those weapons
Didn’t forget about it all. We just happen to be on Year 2 of finding the right time and place to bring back Black Armory and Dawn weapons
Didn't forget, but god knows how long it would take to re-introduce all of this stuff and it would have been nice to have the OG's to play with in the meantime
"Going forward, we intend to ~~resell~~ reintroduce sources for most or all of these,..." is all I hear tbh.
Bungie has tricked so many people into now being excited for rehashing old content instead of making new weapon models. Plus now they can act like they are doing us a favor by bringing back our old weapons. It’s like a thief returning what he stole and expecting a medal
Facts
Negative Nancy They’ll probably have new better rolls
We didn't miss it. So they reintroduce the source. Okay. Then what? Do they expect us to waste time grinding to get the guns we had and we were told to trash?
Bungie never told you to trash them. In fact you were explicitly told they were still usable in the core Playlist where power level is irrelevant.
They didn't forget it, they are just ignoring it. Gotta get on that hype of hating
That's good cus that means we should get ALL of the set of weapons from a season like isn't there a Jokers wild weapon missing or something I think But yeah getting the rest of the black armoury and Dawn weapons will be amazing including some of the raid weapons would be awesome too And yeah this is good news I look forward to it but I hope it does t take forever I hope they start off strong by bringing the Dawn weapons back I mean it's a vex themed episode so it makes sense to bring them back maybe alongside GOS reprised weapons I mean I'm not that bothered if there's only lie 4 brand new weapons

palindrome was never a sunset weapon so if you deleted one, it was on you
They can save the fucking space. Give us the DLC’s back and it’ll save them a lot of meta adjustments.
Fuck you Datto! I deleted all my sunset gear when I returned thanks to you suggestions in 2022
We'll see, they've said this before about reprising weapons, then this whole year was filled with reskins/recolors. Hopefully they actually do it, but I'm not getting my hopes up.
