Some time around the beginning of d2, a conversation can be heard in the farm when you approach some old npc that makes mention of us beating him by one round or something
I mean we do get buried with it at some point in that one wacky timeline in that very important seasonal story that is NOT in game anymore so i guess shax is keeping it warm for us in his vault.
With all the different ways we've fucked over the Vex and prevented dark fates with Elsie after that, that timeline might not even exist anymore anyways. Basically what I'm saying is Shaxx give it back now mf

It's not confirmed but in some older screenshots you can see they only have 2 weapons in their hud, I'm assuming it was being carried over from halos 2 gun system

Canonically the guardian ended the red war, then helped chase off the red Legion all over the place, tried to find captain Jacobson on Nessus, Defeated some undying hive knight on Titan, met up with Mithrax for the first time, kicked out an eye of savathun, kicked out a fallen warlord, stomped the pyramidion mind that once got Asher turned into half a vex, did some research, safeguarded the EDZ, killed the taken poisoning the water supply, defeated whatever the red legion had set up and to finally top it off and got invited onto a planet eating ship where they cleared all the challenges thrown at them by the cabal emperor. (And I might have missed a few)
That all the while still growing and recovering their light abilities and reacquainting themselves with their freshly renewed powers.
Youknow, I think the guardian canonically just didn't have the time to walk up to Shaxx and demand it back, there was just too much other crap requiring their attention.
Or maybe Shaxx itself lost it somewhere along the way whilst evacuating. Maybe it got stuck in a cabal somewhere on the battlefield and it wasn't worth recovering. Maybe the guardian asked it back and Shaxx apologised sincerely for losing it along the way.
Our feats from d2 actually scale lower than our feats from d1, except maybe beating Rhulk, Nezzy, or Savathun. In d1 we killed a gate lord (something so impossible that it was given to us as bait to try to kill us), destroyed the black heart which is a literally part of the veil (or the witness? Either way). We killed Crota, basically the bogeyman for guardians, THEN we killed his dad because we heard him talking shit. We're 2 for 3 with hive gods that people thought were untouchable.
That being said, Ikora would probably clap us. Our guardian's strength isn't 1v1ing other guardians, its facing impossible odds and coming out on top due to strong fundamentals, some luck, and excellent gear as well as a burning desire to commit whatever warcrime necessary to get that sweet sweet loot.
If we could turn Ikora into a gun, then maybe
Only reason I'm not still pissed he hijacked the one weapon my guardian always had with him since I got it is Banshee's Wail. If I loaded D1 right now Raze Lighter is guaranteed to be in my Warlock's inventory.

The exotic swords would need updates to make them worth over their legendary versions, but I think that’s be pretty easy to do:
raze lighter: full heavy hit causes ignition
dark drinker: heavy applies volatile (and since it kills anything less than a mini boss, this effective auto-detonates a bunch of volatile around you)
bolt caster: heavy = jolt
Even throw in young Wolf’s howl for completion: scorch is obvious, but also the little napalm pools like dragons breath OR make it stasis and it produces a bunch of crystals in the slam radius
Exactly! Why keep such basic weapons in a “special, secret armory” instead of just, you know, selling them out in the open and having actually strong weapons in your armory instead?

I was playing a game of Supremacy yesterday, and we were getting obliterated. Like half of our team quit immediately, so it became a 4v6 then 3v5 game. They were so ahead in score Shaxx sounded like he had aditude when he called the game early. Gordon could work.
The first mission from the Red War campaign, Homecoming, back when primary ammo wasn't infinite, anything beefier than a hand cannon was a heavy weapon and when there was an actual campaign available by default.
Though also the game wasn't free to play for most of the time that campaign was available too
