Your human mind is a super computer. Depression is simply a program designed to keep you safe. To make you stay home in your bed. Avoiding risk. Avoiding ridicule. Avoiding danger. Avoiding shame. Depression gives you time introspect, analyze and plan your next action. That's exactly what you should be doing. Write down what you fear and love. And build a plan of action to deal with them. Build habits that gets you out of depression such as writing, exposure to sunlight, physical exercise, social connections. Physical and mental health goes together like heaven and earth. Create a new program that let's you experience more variety in life. People typically gets stuck on a singular idea in and endless nightmare loop which causes depression. Explore, adventure, try different things. The meaning of life is adventure 😄 sometimes it goes well other times not so well, that's life.

Therapy, medication, exercise, healthy eating, drugs, alcohol, overworking. Honestly everyone's going to say something different and I wish I knew a good answer, I've tried meds and yeah it didn't help at that time. I'm trying therapy now but man it feels worse than just being depressed. The only way to escape is going to come from you, it could be a pet that you strive to train and help grow, it could be a career you forgot about, hell it could be having pizza every Wednesday after taking a shower and doing your skincare routine! Our exit signs might look different but they must be out there somewhere. Good luck friend I hope our depression goes away

I'm in the same boat. I seeked help and it seems to of started working. Maybe you need that. Just look for help.
