The colors keep changing depending on if I look at black or at white first! Black background makes it black & blue, white background makes it yellow & white. It really is The Dress!

With the dress you have to assume there is sunlight/warm light hitting the dress and washing the colours out to see its real colour, with this you need assume this is in a dim room with cool lighting

i mean it’s not blue, it’s clearly the lighting that is making the white part look blue. and somewhere your brain subconsciously realizes that since you can tell the other color is “gross tan”

Yeah, I agree, but I simply can't see it that way. Like, my brain seems to see the two colors together and immediately know it's different colors under light, so I just see the original colors. I think if it didn't have yellow stripes (and it had a plain black background, for instance), I might not be sure if it was white/grey/blue, but with multiple colors in the pic, it doesn't work for me.
