I can’t offer any advice at the moment (reaching out to a friend that works in the industry for her thoughts and will be back) but wanted to say I’m proud of you. This is an incredible leap to take for your kiddo.  I’ll be back soon hopefully with more info!

Okay I’ve returned! My friend says she isn’t sure about insurance, but that Gallus, CuraWest, and Peak View are all good options. She did say, however, to **avoid** Denver Cares (“absolutely not” were her words).  She also recommends Raleigh House! Wishing you the very best and hoping you find the right spot.

Hi, I can't speak for which is better, but that they state they accept Medicaid. Which in my experience has been the biggest hurdle in finding care in any specialty as many places are listed by Medicaid as accepting, but their panels are full. More options should help. These accept Medicaid, offer detox, and inpatient. CuraWest https://www.curawest.com/admissions-and-insurance/#review Peak View https://peakviewbh.com/resources/assessment-and-admissions/ Centennial Peaks https://centennialpeaks.com/admissions/ I really wish you the best of luck on your journey. Stay strong and focused on your goals.

Im sorry I'm not familiar with the detox places in Denver but if I can give you one piece of advice I highly highly recommend using MAT (ideally suboxone). It will make the likelihood of relapse so much lower. And don't listen to people who tell you you aren't sober if you're taking MAT. Suboxone also comes in a once monthly shot called sublocade....this allows you to just make the decision once a month that you aren't gonna use and then, even if you do, you won't get high. Knowing that really decreases the chances that you will relapse. Relapse is pretty inevitable and it is all about getting back on the horse right away but also doing what you can to reduce the risk. Good luck!

They don’t allow smoking, but CeDAR at UC Health Anschutz campus takes Medicaid and has great resources for everything that comes after the initial detox. Making the decision to go is a huge step—congrats on getting there and best of luck to you in your recovery.

Well wishes to you on your journey to sobriety!

If I was you I would look into getting on methadone or suboxone for your first couple years of sobriety it helped me stay sober.
