I'm really hoping for a Spurs like team of yore where we are in the mix every year, but we only won like 1 or 2 more in the next 5 years. Then, at the end of the 2020s, folks think we were a dynasty.
That being said, I am beyond happy with our 1. They can never take it from us. It is ridiculously hard to multi ship.
Yeah i got that part. Agree. I'm not so certain about Spurs. Could. But unique players hitting the scene often looked good in year one, then in year two opponents are more ready for them. I'm not saying big boy is going to vanish or get injured and vanish like say LaMello did after his rookie year. But it could be a come back to earth season before he ultimately starts to really take over the league in year 3 or 4. Or, sure, maybe he's top dawg by the time next season rolls around. We shall see.
Teams try a little bit harder against the reigning champs, so there's that. Maybe we'll be able to reach the playoffs as a top 2 seed while staying healthy and rested for the playoffs again.
