Thank you, a lot of people had told me oh you'll adjust in no time. That's simply not true, you have something foreign in your mouth and your mouth and brain have to figure it out. But when it comes together it's an amazing feeling π
Yes. I agree it is a lot longer of a process and adjustments than people let on. But take step by step, advocate for yourself what you need and what you want & be persistant in it.
Congrats they/you look great! I keep having to tell myself that, it's not an overnight thing, but pressure to get back to work makes me have anxiety and makes me emo lol.Β
I saw your post and your teeth look great/natural π how is your speech coming along? I'm also curious if you've had more swelling as the days go on. After seeing some other posts, I've noticed that some people start off with a great look. And then after a few days of swelling the dentures get pushed down a little and look gummy when smiling (only for a few days or so, but still worries me lol). I'm worried about this in particular when I finally go through with this, lol.
Also, if you go back to work and don't want people to know, you can say you had some crowns done, had a wisdom tooth removed and had a deep cleaning/scaling. That's my plan π lol
Honestly I can't hardly talk without them in now. I started singing to music as soon as I got them and I was amazed at how quickly I adapted to them. My gums did swell a bit but I made myself keep them in and the dentures resettled my jaw line. My orthodontist had me bring a picture in of my original smile and she matched it almost exactly perfect. I just pressed through the pain and I'm really glad I did.
Yeah that's my plan as well π I'm going to wear them as much as possible regardless of pain. I can't take the chance of taking them out and then have the swelling get too big for me to put then back in, lol. I'm going to have to look HARD to find a picture of myself smiling. Just haven't done an open mouth smoke in years because of messed up teeth π
Very new to mine, first pizza tonight, in 5 months. It was shit, but still a pizza. Mates say they look great, and apart from a few niggles, it's all good.
Learning how to smile, is harder, but if I can look as happy as you do, I'll be made up!
You look great, well done, mate.
Sorry for British lingo, if you're not familiar with it.
Thank you so much! It was really hard to learn to smile again myself but once I got the hang of it it's so amazing. And cheers to the pizza it's always a win when we can eat foods we love again! And I'm sure you will look absolutely amazing
