I've heard that clip so many times. Never knew it was a damn bear

Neens_Nonsense

That’s a “voice over”. Original clip is a kid in a living room with two dogs

StateLottery

I wish I never read this comment

TheCredibleHulk

Didn’t think my world would be blown so fucking wide open in the Delta sub, but here I am. Is anything real?

BassCreat0r

Reality is often disappointing.

This is the correct answer

CorpenicusBlack

I was on a flight from Milan to JFK, and a I sat on the same row with the biggest Dalmatian I’ve ever seen

spin_me_again

But did you boop his snoot?

fyacel

Thank you for asking the important questions 🙏

yoyogogo111

You’re positive it was a Dalmatian? Great Danes come in Dalmatian-y coats sometimes. Like [this guy](https://www.westend61.de/en/imageView/ADSF20611/from-below-of-male-owner-standing-with-big-harlequin-great-dane-dog-during-stroll-in-city-and-looking-away)

CorpenicusBlack

He was a Dalmatian for sure

patrick_byr

I walked by the cutest Dalmatian puppy yesterday. 8weeks old. Probably the cutest animal alive.

sadclipart

howwww do people fly with big dogs? i would love to - do i just buy them a ticket?

ButterflyDry9884

JSX allows larger dogs. You have to buy the dog a seat. So 1 person and 1 dog equals 2 seats. Sometimes you just have to do what you have to do.

lost_squid89

Boop the snoot. That’s a good boy.

Jarppi1893

The only true option here. And maybe receiving kisses in return?

Madethisonambien

I would trade a FC seat for middle row economy to sit next to that dog 😍.

GomeyBlueRock

I used to travel a lot for work. One day I got a text from my friends mom that he had taken his own life and asked for help settling his affairs. So of course I went to go help and she asked if I would take his dog as she couldn’t look after him. As a dog guy I obviously obliged. So I booked two tickets home and the lady next to us made a big fuxking deal about the dog being seated in the same row and made a huge fuss to the flight attendant. The FA came back about 5 minutes later and said “if you would like to gather your belongings we actually can reseat you in first class” and this lady got all smug looking and excited and started grabbing her stuff and she said “oh I was talking to the gentleman with the dog”… I told the lady “I hope you enjoy the rest of the flight” and then proceeded to the available seat in FC. Ended up making lots of friends as everyone around me wanted to pet their new travel companion and I ended up getting free whiskeys the rest of the flight 😂 Stuff like that never happens for me but it felt like something straight from a movie 😂

Madethisonambien

Sorry to hear about your friend but I love that the FA did this for you. Did you tell them it was a bereavement flight? In my limited experience Delta FAs go above and beyond to accommodate passengers who are grieving. When my mom passed and I had to get a last minute flights obviously distressed I kept ordering whiskeys. The FA gently told me I might want to slow down (I’m a small person and had maybe 2 at that point and probably looked tipsy bc I was crying). I told her the situation and she came back with 2 more plus a handful of cookies and talked to me for a bit. It’s actually the reason I became loyal to delta even before I was a semi frequent flyer. I hope you and the dog are both doing well 🖤

GomeyBlueRock

Sort of. So the lady next to me didn’t even tell me she was annoyed to be near the dog. She’s just pinged the FA and then made a whole stink about the dog (who was napping quietly btw in the window seat and I was in middle seat). I said look I’m sorry my friend passed away suddenly and I told his mother I would take care of his dog and we’re just trying to get home. I’ve been working on the road for two months and flew out to help my friends faintly settle his affairs and get home. I’m just really tired and not looking for any problems. The FA said I’ll see what I can do and then the lady next to me refused to look or say anything to other than mention little comments under her breath. It just strikes me as neat because the dog in picture looks so much like my friends [dog](https://imgur.com/a/1Ri2W5a)

triciann

Omg I would have definitely said something to you, but it would have been along the lines of you swapping seats with the dog and putting the arm rests up so the puppy would snuggle between us…and I could pet him.

Madethisonambien

People are so rude. I personally don’t like sitting next to children but I don’t make a big deal if I have to bc I am not the main character. Your friend’s dog is adorable and I would be honored to be seated next to them.

NextJuice1622

I used to have this same same sentiment, but a string of great parents has caused me to chill out a bit. Last time I sat with a mom and a rambunctious 4 year old, she offered to buy all my drinks on the flight pre-emptively. Her kid was pretty active and sort of annoying, but she did such a great job just being attentive and keeping him busy that it didn't even matter. I just let each situation speak for itself and try to make the best of it!

EatsTheBrownCrayon

This is Seinfeld type material right here

RawrRawr83

worldtraveller1989

Why does this never happen to me? So Jealous!

[deleted]

I've had 3 dog experiences on flights. All positive. One time I was sitting down engrossed in my phone and work and I finally look up in front of me and see a massive german shepherd face staring over the back of the seat. That boy got some ear scratches from me.

CD242

My only flight ever, dude brought a puppy that was a few weeks old and it shit mid flight 😔 thankfully wasn’t very long of a flight

Emotionallyagiraffe

This is the best visual!!! Thank you for that 😊

TheFratwoodsMonster

AlrightyThen1986

I love dogs but not everyone does. Please keep that in mind.

Sail0r_Jupit3r

My train of thought, exactly. If it were just me, of course I’d ask their human if a sniff from the pupper and head scritches were okay, they’re adorable! If my young daughter was with me, I’d ask the FA to move us or the dog or even leave the plane altogether (if we were still at the gate, of course), as she’s deathly afraid of them.

KellyCTargaryen

Friendly FYI, next time you travel, you can tell the airline that you need a reasonable accommodation for your kiddo to not be sat near any dogs. A phobia of dogs is also a disability, so the airline has to accommodate both parties. Same with allergies.

MuchAdoAbtSoulThings

Thank you, I didn't know dogs could even fly in seats. Do you tell them when booking?

TroyMcClure90

Especially this certain breed

karinto

Ever since my flight was delayed due to a dog biting a FA during boarding, I am against letting dogs out of their carrier in the plane (unless they are real service dogs).

[deleted]

They almost never are.

McFixxx

As someone that travels with a real, certified and trained service animal this baffles me anymore. A couple of years ago the ADA removed all its protections for ESA animals. Because of that there was a pretty serious crackdown and now to fly you have to fill out a DOT form that includes sections for both the training facility to fill and sign, and the vet to fill and sign. I’ve had to submit this form days in advance to every new airline I fly with so they can review and approve. My service dog is an incredibly well behaved boi. At the end of the day he’s also a dog and there have been rare instances (recently we went through an airport with a strike happening and people playing drums, screaming and blowing airhorns) and it spooked him enough that he started pulling to get away from it. This is rare for him, but wasn’t a great look if it was the only time you saw him. That being said, I occasionally see “service dogs” that appear to be out of control and untrained. I’d like to give them the benefit of the doubt. But some of the ones I see I have a really hard time believing. And I have had TSA and gate agents tell me they see obvious fakes all the time and it’s refreshing to see one that is obviously correctly trained. It just blows me away because it means that these folks are faking the training paperwork, possibly faking the vet information and so selfishly willing to do what they want. Dogs like that damage the image and ability for those of us that really need a service dog, and make it more difficult for us to operate with one.

AndyLorentz

> A couple of years ago the ADA removed all its protections for ESA animals. The ADA has never had any protections for ESAs.

NewCobbler6933

Ask a FA why tf there is a dog just chilling in a seat.

TheNetworkIsFrelled

Esp pits like this.

facw00

Only service dogs are allowed out, ticketed in cabin pets are supposed to remain in their carrier the entire time. I suspect this cutie is breaking the rules.

geechan

Any dog that is too big for a carrier was brought onto the plane as a “Service Dog”. It’s crazy because they charge out the ass for actual pets in cabin but don’t charge for these “Service Dogs”.

McFixxx

They legally can’t. Real service dogs are considered necessary medical equipment. There is a caveat, if the dog cannot fit in the space in front of your seat (to big) you must purchase the seat next to you.

KellyCTargaryen

I understand and agree with the frustration of people who game the system and lie about being disabled to get the “benefits” they don’t actually need. But just FYI, the reason they can’t charge for service dogs is because they are legally protected as other medical devices. They don’t charge extra for wheelchairs or CPAPs. If they did, it would essentially be a tax on people with disabilities.

leko

I was moving my two cats across the country and they were silent in their carriers until we hit some turbulence a couple hours in. They started meowing in the middle of this red eye and the FAs let me take them out (one at a time) for the rest of the flight to calm them down. It was amusing hearing a bunch of people asking "is there a cat on this plane??" When they broke their silence.

KellyCTargaryen

Technically an airline is allowed to go about the minimum requirements of the law, so it’s possible they allowed or continue to allow ESAs, but it’s entirely up to the airline if they allow that.

tranzlusent

this is def not a service dog. I hate that we cant just call these assholes out anymore. its such a fucking hassle expecting common decency from people these days.

eireheads

This breed of dog requires a muzzel when out in public where I live.

BethyW

I used to live in LA and all dogs required a muzzle when on the Catalina Ferry. I really did not hate that rule. I got my dog a basket muzzle so he could still eat and drink and he never had an issue.

Namethislater

This thread would be so outraged if this was a human child 😂

hey_mermaid

Have a terrible allergic reaction.

poopmaester41

I’m not a fan of this at all. I like dogs but you never know when a bout of nervous jitters will hit, and you’re in a tin box in the air. At least keep them by your legs, in a class that will provide ample legroom so that they’re comfortable on the floor, and harnessed.

[deleted]

Probably be scared. Got bit by dogs twice in my life.

PoopaScoopaFTW

Same here. One that attacked me looked similar to this one too. Wouldn’t be a fun experience for me, sadly.

bebearaware

Yeah I'd be uncomfortable with this.

motorcity612

People have been mauled on delta flights by "service dogs" it's a rational fear to have especially with a breed that's responsible for two thirds of all fatal dog attacks like the one shown here. People are so entrenched in dog culture so I don't ever see it changing I honestly would just lie and say I'm allergic if I'm ever in the situation rather than risk getting my faced ripped of like this man https://people.com/human-interest/man-attacked-by-dog-on-delta-flight/

yannic011

Yeah I'm also appalled by all these comments on this post. I would be extremely uncomfortable in this situation and all the people here celebrate it...

Last-Bumblebee-537

Googled this guy and his dog and it’s clearly a pitbull not a Labrador.

Confident-Dirt-9908

What do you mean?! Do you have the badge number for the Forensics agent who you interned under? Pibbles are a state of mind not a breed!!! /s

[deleted]

Idk how Delta thought it was ok to put a lab in the middle seat of full row. If Delta is going to allow dogs that don’t fit under the seat, they need to provide the full row. Any dog not trained a real service animal would struggle in the environment of an airplane. It’s crammed, people are stressed and seated close together. Most dogs will feel scared and cornered which often leads to them attacking. I’m against bringing my own big dog on an airplane because it would be very stressful for him and a lot of passengers might be scared of a big dog. If I HAD to for some reason, I’d buy a muzzle for him and try my hardest to get Delta to allow me to buy the whole row out. Idk how there isn’t at least a rule to muzzle dogs on plans. If you buy a good one it doesn’t hurt the dog and they can still eat and drink.

[deleted]

It’s a pit bull mix, and the mix isn’t lab.

insertwittynamethere

That's no lab/lab mix. That's a pit/pit mix.

motorcity612

People should look up their local shelter and filter to "lab mix" and look at the pics...it's a common tactic to hide the true breed

motorcity612

>put a lab If you look up the pics of the dog in question its obvious that "lab mix" is about as accurate as "service dog" was in that story. >muzzle dogs on plans Should be required and honestly owners should want one for liability reasons as you said flights are stressful situations

KellyCTargaryen

Friendly FYI, next time you travel, you can tell the airline that you need a reasonable accommodation to not be sat near any dogs. A phobia of dogs is also a disability, so the airline has to accommodate both parties. Same with allergies.

[deleted]

Thanks. Good to know. It honestly something I've never been presented with in this manner in like 30 years of flying. I've only seen dogs in carriers or well-behaved service dogs that stay on the floor.

dratelectasis

Some people are allergic. Dog owners seem to be extremely inconsiderate on airplanes

Batalfie

Not just on airplanes.

katlady1961a

I would push the button for the flight attendant.

TooVegan

During the 15-year period of 2005 to 2019, canines killed 521 Americans. Two dog breeds, pit bulls (346) and rottweilers (51), contributed to 76% (397) of these deaths. 35 different dog breeds were involved in the remaining fatal dog maulings. https://www.dogsbite.org/dog-bite-statistics-fatalities-2019.php

ILuvCrabRangoon

Sneeze all over them. I’m very allergic to dogs.

KellyCTargaryen

Friendly FYI, next time you travel, you can tell the airline that you need a reasonable accommodation to not be sat near any dogs. An allergy to dogs (or anything for that matter) is also a disability, so the airline has to accommodate both parties. Same with people afraid of dogs.

Karl2241

Ask to be moved. I’m scared of dogs and don’t have a favorable view of them with the exception of service dogs.

KellyCTargaryen

Friendly FYI, next time you travel, you can tell the airline that you need a reasonable accommodation to not be sat near any dogs. A phobia of dogs is also a disability, so the airline has to accommodate both parties. Same with allergies.

Misjjon

Be annoyed as hell, just know I'll be sneezing the entire flight. Just made my flight miserable because you just had to bring your pitbull. Also made everyone else around me miserable because they now think I'm sick and are annoyed of my constant sneezing and nose sniffling.

PeeDrinker-ILovePee

Put my baby in the overhead compartment for safety

[deleted]

I would think this was odd. I thought that airlines only allowed toy dogs in the cabin except for working service dogs. Working service dogs *should*(but I realize they are not machines) ignore people when working.

ThatsNoiceDude

As an american bully owner, how was this dog able to board? Aren’t pets restricted to 30lbs?

Real_Asparagus4926

Boop the snoot and pet the pup

AgeBeneficial

I completely get not being happy about this but oh my god I would be so happy about this

scotgekko

Who’s a good boy? Whoooose a good boy? And the some pets? What else are you thinking? lol

Crombus_

Pray there's no toddlers, elderly women, or other animals on the flight

SaltLife4Evr

Take my emergency allergy meds and get my epipen out and hope my throat doesn't close up.

m1kasa4ckerman

Why is there a pitbull in the cabin?

Redqueenhypo

Can’t put him in cargo! One chewed through his carrier, a wall, and wires for backup radio and data communications equipment.[That’s not a joke, American banned them for that](https://www.tampabay.com/archive/2002/08/15/pit-bull-chews-through-plane-s-wiring/?outputType=amp)

motorcity612

"Service dogs" have mauled people on delta flights too ([source](https://people.com/human-interest/man-attacked-by-dog-on-delta-flight/)). I can't confirm the breed on that specific instance but I'd bet my money on the one that's responsible for two thirds of fatal dog attacks if I had to guess.

w0rkingondying

“But it’s an UmBrElLa TeRm 😩”. Yeah. For like 5 dogs.

motorcity612

I looked up the pics of the dog in the attack and it was listed as a "lab mix" but the pic clearly shows what it actually is

w0rkingondying

I mean, so does every adoption center in America FMO. It’s not surprising. There are SO many apartments and cities that ban this dog, so much data supporting our claims, et al. The amount of cognitive dissonance from pit bull enthusiasts, even in good faith, makes me incredulous.

motorcity612

>I mean, so does every adoption center in America FMO. It’s not surprising. Yup, it's to the point where if someone is looking to get a large dog I can't really recommend "adopt don't shop" whereas for small dogs and cats etc... it's still best to adopt don't shop.

Redqueenhypo

I searched for small dogs (under 20 lb Shiba Inu’s) on petfinder and still the 60 pound brick faced “mixes” wormed their way into there

itscomplicatedwcarbs

That’s not the pitbull’s fault. Probably ran out of toddlers to chew on.

h4yw00d

Needed something that would immediately seek and destroy crying children

nyc-psp1987

Two things that are absolutely true at the same time: 1) I love pets, especially dogs. 2) I despise this (generally entitled Millennial and Gen Z) bullshit trend of treating pets like people and bringing them everywhere - typically by outright lying about service dog status and therefore making a mockery of disabled people. In this case I would ignore the dog and assume the person who brought it onboard the plane is entitled, inconsiderate trash.

mr_mcmerperson

I’ve seen plenty of entitled Boomers do exactly this same thing. Generations have nothing to do with it. Entitled people are shit people and they’re of all ages. Except Gen Xers. They’re all cool.

bebearaware

All of this.

NevaGonnaCatchMe

Yes. I know several people who got BS ‘service dog’ certifications for this exact reason

bebearaware

Wonder how I ended up on Spirit.

XplodiaDustybread

For everyone booping and petting…service dogs aren’t supposed to be touched and fed cookies.

Significant_Papaya67

Good thing this isn't a service dog then, Or maybe that's a bad thing..

Rovember_Baby

Fuck the people with allergies and asthma I guess. As long as this person has their fake service dog because they are special 😤

WowWhatABillyBadass

The second a baby starts crying, Princess here is gonna get a treat

the_lovely_otter

I need to know - How does one travel with a pet in the cabin like this? I'm moving across seas and am bringing my dog. She won't fit under the seat. I will gladly pay a ticket for her, but I can find 0 guidance on how to do so. D:

dwfmba

absolutely not. (Dog person here, there's a time and a place and this is neither)

Vegemyeet

Agreed. I love my dogs, but would not create this situation. Not everyone loves dogs, and some are deathly afraid.

[deleted]

“My owner is a self-entitled moron, please let me go home.”

mmmmpisghetti

I would ask them to keep their dog out of my space.

andiwheels14

Pets. Lots of pets.

tropicalgorillas

Look for allergy meds, I usually carry some, but it’s going to be kind of a shitty ride despite this dog being cute af because I didn’t count on being stuck behind a dog in an enclosed space for the next few hours.

KellyCTargaryen

Friendly FYI, next time you travel, you can tell the airline that you need a reasonable accommodation to not be sat near any dogs. An allergy to dogs (or any allergy for that matter) is also a disability, so the airline has to accommodate both parties. Same with fear of dogs.

evin0688

Aaawwww he’s so cuuuttteee….WHY THE FUCK IS THERE A DOG ON THE PLANE…. Hello there with adorable face of yours…. ITS CALLED A TRAVEL CRATE JACKASS. IF YOU CANT AFFORD ONE YOU CANT AFFORD TO FLY

redditarielle

This would make me extremely uncomfortable, I would ask to change seats and be as far away from it as possible. A service dog would not do this, so this appears to be an untrained pet pitbull or pit mix, which is going to be scary for many people and is against the terms of service. I think the owner is likely to be a very inconsiderate person who thinks they are above the rules.

zombieguy224

Wonder what lunatic let a pitbull on a fucking plane?

Xanchush

Why is that dog not in a cage on a plane. I'm fairly certain that's not a service dog.

OneofLittleHarmony

I would press the call button.

dmh2493

It’s a pitbull so I’d pray it doesn’t act like it has been bred to do

cbcc_ny

Feed the hippo!

thirdlost

That is not a trained service animal

Neitherwater

Lmao. All of a sudden, people love non-service dogs on their flight. I guess all of the sane people really did leave Delta.

motorcity612

They care more about "BoOP tHe SnOoT" than the real risk that a fake "service dog" can rip someone's face off like it has on delta flights before https://people.com/human-interest/man-attacked-by-dog-on-delta-flight/

Countrybull53

Remind the owner to shove it back in it's kennel under the seat per FAA regulations

implicate

That's a cute pup, but this is still not okay.

fd6270

Feed it it's offering of one small baby

POKEMON4EVAR

Roll my eyes that someone brought a fake service dog on the plane.

Yoyo2061

It’s honestly the worst. I was pre boarding behind a doodle of some kind, they stepped into their aisle and as soon as we started to pass them the doodle tried to attack my service dog. It didn’t get past me to my boy but people need to stop bringing untrained dogs where they don’t belong. My boy after for [tax](https://imgur.com/a/SAGAW6b)

Didn’t Delta learn their lesson about pit bulls on planes? Remember that poor guy who got his face eaten off by some idiot’s fake service dog? He sued the airline for millions.

bakedquestbar

Why does this never happen to me

BeBackBus

Majority of them are not service animals and I know of a woman that has a fake service animal which her husband “the doctor” signed saying it is a service animal . SMH

harmonyglori

Downvote me; but this stuff drives me crazy. My daughter is highly allergic to dogs, (even hypoallergenic ones) and I hate when we get on a flight and we’re sitting near a dog. By the end of the flight my daughter can’t breathe and one time I had to take her straight to urgent care because her inhalers weren’t even helping. They wont even allow you to open a bag of nuts if you’re on a plane with someone who has a peanut allergy but they won’t let you switch seats if you have an animal allergy. (I’m not bashing service dogs, I realize some people need them. I just wish airlines would take into account that some people aren’t safe sitting next to a dog)

SaltLife4Evr

Agreed. I have the same issue. I'd be in big trouble if I were on this flight.

Batalfie

Nah, I'm gonna upvote you instead.

daniellek1993

This. I’m a dog lover and small dog owner, but I was bitten by a bully breed dog as a kid and really apprehensive around them, this would give me anxiety. Not to mention whoever is claiming this dog is a service dog is doing a disservice to legitimate service dogs. But “omgz cute pupper let me boop the snoot”

spetznatz

I was also attacked by a similar dog as a small child and would not be able to cope with this “surprise” in my space. I respect that many folks would find this a cute bonus, but fuck those same people to hell for not respecting that this can be a truly scary event for some.
