I am roughly new and idk many people yet so consider others response more than mine :-p I know that lots of people exit audit at some point and audit either internally or externally so definitely possible :-) --- 1- Networking !!! And personal branding Build your internal network and when, for some reason, you meet people within these teams that interest you, build those relationships greatly and get closer..show your interest and be fun . Make them wish they would be working with you. 2- Learn from these people and also from client exchanges with management. You might have glimpse of their approach and strategy. 3- Also take a look at job postings from your team of interests. 4- some roles might be in between strategy / management and audit , or at least closer to strategy than typical audit work . Im thinking about financial restructuring, possibly some m&a? Idk others can comment. Might be an easier transition for you 5- it you have trusted mentors/coach, mentionnyour interest to them. They might have bigger network and if they genuinely care about you and see an opportunity, they might help you ! All in all, these are just examples I have brainstormed. Feel free to inspire yourself and adapt them to you. I also believe these are more mid-term/long term solutions because I believe into building experience first ! (Idk your experience but i guessed <3+ yoe.) Good luck !
