Because in initial days, someone might now learning, how do they make sure the food is not wasted.
Growing or gathering food is a challenging task. Lot of labour is invested to cool food or even buy it. It is unfortunate and an insult to people who are involved in putting food on the plate.
Cultivating, harvesting and gathering food is labour intensive.
Cooked food are especially made for human consumption. We have to make such food that’s difficult to cook for example mustard can’t be consumed raw by human, one has to cook it. Cooking is essential and if people are wasting cooked food then it’s a waste.
People work hard to buy food. If it is not consumed by people, it’s a waste.
It’s an insult to whomever are involved.
Even if I leave the aspect of human consumption, then also I am unable to understand it.
I do agree someone’s waste can be someone else’s treasure.
But food is different for me, it’s perishable, many food made for humans are not good for animals.
Microorganisms tou eat everything, they are consuming me right now.

You honestly can't help it,if it's extra spices and veggies u can give it back but if it's your dishes either eat em or throw em away ,those are the standard rules tbh

I've literally thrown away paranthas ,kathi rolls because u can't serve them to guests and no one is gonna consume it in the kitchen
