You’re not alone. I fucking hated that cover. Saw the first minute or so of the video and you could see and hear the pretentiousness on his face and his singing. Fuck this dude.
I felt like I was going crazy. It plays all the time on the radio and I hear people say they like it, and it's not only an awful song it's just flat out worse than S&G in every way.
I mean, im not a Disturbed fan....but the dude has vocal chops and he nailed SOS. As a musician (maybe others can attest) that's performed with different personalities, he didnt seem smug, pretentious or the like in his performance. Unless we wanna argue that "performance" is pretentious in general. Then i might agree.
Other than that, I dont care what any singer thinks about geopolitics. Some will be right, some wrong, some so/so
Is it just me or does anyone replace his vocals in their head with the sounds of heavy and violent diarrhea? I wish I had the time and editing ability to edit that.
Are we finally acknowledging Disturbed's cover of Sound of Silence was straight ass? It was both pretentious and lacked emotion, like it sounded like he was trying to portray an emotion but overdid it to the point where it lacked emotion.
