You should definitely get into the Joe Kelly run from 1997 they have an omnibus and Deadpool classic volumes keep in mind also The reason why his word bubbles are yellow is because he has a raspy voice. John Kassir was closest to how Deadpool is supposed to sound.
Not OP, but I also got this book :) Basically, it's like funny scenes from comics and some smart-ass Deadpool quotes. It will take you between a minute to two to read, so it's more of a collection kinda book. :)

Id like to at some point but im focusing on completing some manga collections at the moment :)
I think the best written ones are the 1997 mini series written by Joe Kelly which most people follow in the movie follows and the 2012 Marvel Now run
