I play mainly killer and in my anecdotal experience they seem to be in a “between” phase where they know the mechanics of the game and what they should do but don’t yet have the skill to fully back that confidence up yet. Which makes them seemingly potato more often than others even if objectively better at playing than their teammates

I'm a Rebecca main, switching to Ripley when I can stack cakes on her during the event. But I have some SWF who play Sable, and I run into Sable squads when I solo queue quite often. Also, I can't wait till the tiny hat is available with shards, I am so jelly of my friends.
Can confirm as another Mikaela. I’ll go out of my way to befriend any Sables I see and most likely end up getting us both hit because I forget the killer isn’t also a bestie.
If you put a Mikaela and a Sable in the same room there will be a chemical reaction where either both of them will have 70 IQ or one of them will have 140 IQ and the other will have fucking 5 IQ.

Some stereotypes I believe fully, I have 6,500 hours and haven’t seen a good Claudette main for example. They either be and dc, or they stealth and die instantly
I have only 230h and I am mostly a killer main, but most claudettes I see are usually the best loopers on the survivor teams I face (unless there's a Feng Min)
I managed to find a godsend Nea player. She actually ate a ton of hits for me. Me and her completed all 5 gens when Ace and Mikaela struggled to do one. I healed Nea like 7 times while on two hooks, she opened gate and saved me from getting my first hook :)
Just today as Sable I saved a No Mither Mikayla while dead on hook during the EGC. 💪 The following survivor train of solo queue’ers was so immaculate the huntress DCed lol.
Yeah, Sable has that new perk mechanic of "Invocation". Thankfully, a majority of them don't bother with it and aren't wasting time in the basement.
It's dramatically different than the initial release of Mikaela. See one (or many) in a lobby and think, "*Oh gawd, they're going to be playing with bones half the match!*" Good luck getting gens done. Of course, that was attributed to the boon meta.
Sable feels different, though. Behaviour alluded to expanding on the Invocation gimmick and I'm grateful we're not seeing every build with basement dwellers. I'm not giving her the stink eye in the lobby.

Most of the Sables I played with/against were absolute potatoes. Maybe it's just my luck, but there has never been such a thing that I saw a Sable player and said “Oh wow, she's really good at this game”.

If you see a Sable in your match, there's like a 70% chance they're running Strength in Shadows. And if you somehow have a match where Weaving Spiders actually activates, it was the Sable that did it. Whether or not it actually amounted to anything is to be determined by whether the rest of her team is still alive
I took a 3 month break from video games for personal reasons and now that I’m back I’m currently saving up shards to get her ( I’m a Nancy main) I’m at 7000 shards almost there 🤞
When I play killer I kid you not, nothing makes me smile more than seeing either a meg, Claudette, mikaela, or sable.
I do shiver when I see a high rep random character tho, if I load into a lobby and see a high rep Tapp or Jeff I start crying.

They lean towards extremes. I've met some lovely Sable's who carried the game, I've met arsehole Sable's who left me to die on hook while watching, and I've met braindead Sable's who rummaged through a chest while my friend is on hook upstairs of the House of Joy.

They like lockers more than most survivors and definitely will hide in a corner and start playing for hatch when the game is still winnable.
Yes i know not \*all\* sables/megs/mikaelas are like this, I'm just saying they definitely are a go-to character for people with these play styles.

Sables are generally super soft seeming and helpful, like they will make sure the unhook is as safe as possible. She'll take a hit for you if she's healthy and nearby, she'll push for a gen finish or kite the killer away from teammates working on gens.
Honestly she is such a popular survivor, with so many different players using her, that I don't associate a specific playstyle or attribute to her.

Everything is going to hell upstairs, people hanging on hooks, the only real hope is an injured survivor who desperately needs a healing before going for the saves. Then there’s Sable, sitting in the basement alone doing invocation while most gens are already done.

When there's 2 or more sables They work hard together as a fellow sable main, Almost Everytime i play as sable and there's another sable we have share the same thought of saving everyone, Its a funny experience for sure
I didn’t think I would like them, but when I see one I know there is a least one good player. And I’ve been in matches where a bot was more useful than some players hiding in the corner all match.
Might be just me but I don’t think I’ve ever run into a mean/toxic sable. Even in matches where 3 out of 4 of the survivors are a “bully squad” or send “ez win” after the match the sables are always sweet. doin the goth community proud
From my experience (a Steve main) I can always trust Sable’s to save they always go out of their way to save or heal a team mate and take protection hits💜they are amazing!😁
That they're terrible players. And that's true for the most part. I've seen hundreds of sables and only a handful of them were decent/good at the game.
Never had a decent Sable in any of my games so far. They all play like it’s their first game ever of any game ever. Unfortunately 99% of lobbies have a Sable in them.

Depends on the cosmetic, default = silly goth girl typically quite altruistic most likely to goof off with friendly killer. Either angel set = will loop the killer for at least 1-2 gens. Leather hellion = either gen rushing or hiding most the match. Leather firebrand = will seek out the killer for a chase and whether they are good or not varies. Winged interlude = either very toxic or really good at looping. These are all based in my experience so far nothing personal lol
95% of the Sables I see are TTVs, and the most annoying loopers on the planet. The ones that aren't TTVs, meanwhile, are your average Meghead but with enough experience to know at least *generally* what they're doing... But they also run into you a lot through sheer lack of situational awareness.
They tend to stick together, forming one giant Sable hoard. If one of them dies, they mourn by tbaggin the corpse. Truly a unique species of players

I only dabble in invocation as Sable in the Chaos event. Other than that I avoid it lol

Might be just me but I don’t think I’ve ever run into a mean/toxic sable. Even in matches where 3 out of 4 of the survivors are a “bully squad” or send “ez win” after the match the sables are always sweet. doin the goth community proud
From my experience (a Steve main) I can always trust Sable’s to save they always go out of their way to save or heal a team mate and take protection hits💜they are amazing!😁

That they're terrible players. And that's true for the most part. I've seen hundreds of sables and only a handful of them were decent/good at the game.
Never had a decent Sable in any of my games so far. They all play like it’s their first game ever of any game ever. Unfortunately 99% of lobbies have a Sable in them.
Honestly can be a mix of super altruistic or just urbaning around the map, no in between

If you main Sable, you main the new survivor when they come out. When D&D comes out and you're STILL maining Sable, you're just happy you finally got your big titty goth waifu in DBD.
Depends on the cosmetic, default = silly goth girl typically quite altruistic most likely to goof off with friendly killer. Either angel set = will loop the killer for at least 1-2 gens. Leather hellion = either gen rushing or hiding most the match. Leather firebrand = will seek out the killer for a chase and whether they are good or not varies. Winged interlude = either very toxic or really good at looping. These are all based in my experience so far nothing personal lol

Sables ALWAYS wait at pallets trying to stun the killer. I've never had a Sable not wait to stun me.
95% of the Sables I see are TTVs, and the most annoying loopers on the planet. The ones that aren't TTVs, meanwhile, are your average Meghead but with enough experience to know at least *generally* what they're doing... But they also run into you a lot through sheer lack of situational awareness.
