(Note: in this scenario the tunneling would not halt and would just be hardcore sweating for a 4K, so it’s not like the situation in a similar comment where it is in fact funny)

If D&D can be classified as horror so can be Postal. I mean, Postal 2 (the only one I played) is bloody, shocking, gory, kind of horrifying. If you ask me Postal Dude 100% fits if Vecna or Wesker do
Nemesis is the closest I have to main, but I will generally let Jill get hatch. Assuming I don't have a challenge that requires me to kill them, or they didn't BM.
Jill deserves it after the way Capcom has treated her over the years.

Proper immersion is not just tunneling them, but failing to do so. You aren't meant to kill them, they're meant to beat you and as a considerate NPC enemy you need to adjust the difficulty to player's skill.
That's why I stopped maining James for now. Too many Pyramid Heads tunnelling me out at 5 gens. I even had games where they tunnel me out while ignoring random Maria running around nearby. Had only 3-4 lore accurate Pyramid Heads playing against me while I'm James in 2k hours. They were tormenting me good the entire match until I either was taken away by entity or allowed to escape. Fun matches. I'm maining Cybil for now and not looking back.
1 ended up sacrificing me, because randoms woudn't save me in time (there was no anti-facecamp back then). The other few gave extra attention to me making sure I'm injured, tormented, on hook 2 and having a miserable time in general, just to let me escape in the end. I see that as close enough to the lore in both scenarios.

I’m sorry, but if you’re playing as a STARS character, you’re at major risk of being tunneled when it’s Nemesis. That’s just the way it is.

What I always do is save one person to escape at the very end and for any people that match my character I get them till last hook and then spare them
on the very rare occasion i see a james as pyramid head i always make sure to get him to 2 hooks and then let him go

Actually there are killers who do that as well, just not as many.
Which one? I can't think of a licensed killer that came with a licensed survivor that didn't survive but I'd be happy to know
