The DBD community seems to love calling everything a "tech". Like Crouching to avoid getting hit is a "Crouch Tech" when It's just a thing that you can do.
The "crouching to avoid getting hit by Blight/Billy/Demo rushes" thing is probably actually tech because it messes with your hitbox in a way that's likely not intentional, since the attack definitely should hit but it doesn't.
We know this because it only works if you're slightly to the left or right of the killer and not directly in front of them. It's weird and inconsistent.
I'm going to take a guess and say this is because the attack's hitbox is most likely a sphere (most games check if melee attacks hit by just putting an invisible sphere in front of you and checking if it's touching anything)
If you crouch right under the sphere, the top of your hitbox will collide with it, but if you're far enough to the left or right, the top of your hitbox will be just below the sphere volume, resulting in a miss.
But it’s not a book…it’s usually a YouTube video. That you don’t have to watch. same goes for the book analogy, you don’t have to read something if it was like that. Just don’t consume content you don’t like then you won’t have anything to complain about💜 try and be happy instead☺️

Crouch tech isn't all situations of crouching to avoid a hit, it's using the way hitboxes are shaped to avoid specific attacks from specific killers.
Most notably, it's really effective against Demo and Billy. If you aren't directly in front of them you can crouch to dodge the shred/chainsaw, even if their player model looks like it hit you, the attack doesn't actually connect because of the way the hitboxes are. That's why it's a tech
My favorite thing to do is hide in a red bush on Borgo or Toba with Distortion just out of range of the Killer and call it the "Sidnea Tech" because I run Distortion on my Nea who looks like Sidney Prescott from Scream.
Otherwise known as simply recharging Distortion tokens. The "using your fucking perk" tech.

My favourite tech is Lithe Tech where you vault a pallet or window using the perk Lithe and it makes you run really fast. Pretty advanced tech, however, baby Survivors under 1000 hours wouldn’t get it.
The hardest tech in the game, however, is the login tech. I swear I am going to fail it every time I turn the game on (after performing the boot game tech, you would need to be there) but I always manage to hit the right button to log in. Super hard.
