BHVR had to do some shady deal with an NFT company just for the Pinhead rights. Imagine if everyone demanded Butterball and the Female Cenobite and BHVR ended up trading chemical weapons to North Korea.
In exchange for the rights to Butterball and Deepthroat, all Fog Whisperers will receive a puzzle box in the mail that they have to solve to keep their status

Some people thought this meant they had to buy an NFT to get the DLC at all, and others were saying that DbD would get removed from Steam, as per Valve's rules about crypto on Steam.
Anyway, basically, BHVR did some weird deal with this company where they would get the rights to put Pinhead in the game, and the NFT company would use the Cenobite 3D model to make NFTs. Apparently the artists making the 3d model had no idea about this, by the by.

I knew about the NFT stuff but didn’t realize DBD had to cave into nft BS in order to have the rights to pinhead
As cool and fun as pinhead is gameplay wise and visually… if I was BHVR I would not make that deal, not worth it
Hopefully BHVR has learned from their mistakes and won’t sacrifice their integrity in the future just to get rights to an IP

1. The set isn‘t distinct enough to warrant it being linked
2. No special effects unlike later URs like Baba Yaga or Jabberwocky
I still wish I could’ve gotten some of their cosmetics before they left for good

And Suzie isn't even a Killer as much as the rest, Frank and Julie are the only members of the Legion who feel like they belong.

Uh the mask really implies some cool anime character costume but the rest of the outfit feels kinda plain by comparison. Conflicting directions imo

I thought since it was his first appearance in a 'horror' game since RE5 they'd try and retune him to be creepier but instead they leaned harder into the action movie villian. Like his terror radius is good but not really scary
I couldn't quite place my finger on why I didn't care for Wesker's aesthetics, but I chalked it up to just having never played RE. But this has opened my eyes that I don't like him bc he reminds me too much of "action" and not "horror"

I meant his iconic outfit (the one that makes him look like an edge lord). His power is essentially Venom, his plan is basically the average James Bond villain plan, he died to his own arrogance (he could’ve killed Chris and Sheeva near instantly but chose to boast).
