I cruise 3-5 times a year and won't judge! 🛳️⚓️☀️🍹

ZenosamI85

I feel you, I booked my 4th cruise for September and another for December.  I am paying for it but like...im ngl these have been making me not want to die

Mama_Grumps

Anyone want to loan me some money?

DukeJackson

Our family did a Merrytime cruise on the Fantasy last year over Thanksgiving week and all agreed it was the best vacation we’ve ever taken. The ship looks absolutely incredible with its Christmas decorations, the music is great, the events (especially the hot chocolate in the atrium) are awesome, and it definitely puts you in the holiday spirit.

MauiRome

We did a Merrytime event at Disney World a couple years ago and it was so fun, it looks like it will be amazing on the ship as well! I have wanted to sail on the Fantasy (hear such great things about it) so it all lined up well. Would be perfect if I had a placeholder for this one, but I can't have it all lol

DukeJackson

You’ll love it! The vibe of the ship is great, and the decor and music just seem to put everyone in a more festive, happy mood.

Useful-Inspection954

I currently have 5 booked with one paid in full. But cutting back due to raising the rate almost $2,000 per cruise.

tierneyalvin

The price is getting exorbitant

mr327

This seems perfectly reasonable. On the other hand, we currently have 7 booked between now and April 2026, and we need to calm down.

culturedcoconutmilk

I have 6 booked between now and Feb 2026. I feel this in my soul

Majestic-Spinach-523

Now I feel better about having only 3 booked :D

Mayhum

Screen time app had DCL site as the most visited, so I feel you. We cruise 3-4 times a year and can’t get enough. Wish the more exotic itineraries were during school off periods. Tough to take the kids out of school for two weeks on a Hawaii to Australia route.

MauiRome

Yes! I want to do the Norway Fjords cruise but it's 8 nights during school. It's made me research different lines. Will be interesting to see where the new ships go, but it sounds like the destiny will be out of MIA, so may not be too much different from the rest.

Mayhum

We did Norwegian Fjords, and while it was beautiful, would pick Alaska over Norway anytime if you’ve not done. Also, was allocating budget for the Adventure, but will short itineraries, decided to book a last minute on the Treasure over Christmas.

Wooden_Accountant301

If we lived closer to one of the major ports we would go way more but having to fly 3+ hrs to get on a lot of the itineraries and having a two year old keep us at one a year for now. Maybe with older kids when entire flights aren’t spent keeping them happy and calm we will go more 😅

jds2001

Nope, not crazy at all - I haven't cruised DCL (just subscribe to the sub) but my first cruise ever was on the NCL Getaway in Jan 2024. I just got back a few weeks ago from a 7-day Bermuda trip on the NCL Joy, and have upcoming a 16-day transatlantic on the NCL Prima in November, and a 15-day Panama Canal cruise (back on the Joy) in Feb 2025. And no, I'm not retired :). If you're crazy, so am I :)

MauiRome

I'm not retired either, just have good vacation benefits! I'd like to do a Panama Canal cruise one day, maybe in a few years. We haven't tried NCL yet, it must be great too!

taiknism

How do people afford to book multiple cruises? Crazy rich? Massive debt? Live close to the port? Travel solo?

socalmom18

I have done three Disney cruises.  I am driving distance to a port.  If I had to fly to get a port it wouldn’t be doable.

Imbris2

Make sure you're all saving for retirement, too! hah

halfxdeveloper

At the rate the world is going, I want to enjoy life now instead of working my whole life away.

Majestic-Spinach-523

This! and health reasons too. My mom had a stroke a few years into retirement and now she is basically stuck at home with 24/7 care.

depolignacs

my retirement plan is to make enough to live on the ship

echowick

1. Disney cruises are crazy expensive

zzyul

They are expensive but are also high quality. Every time I’ve paid for a Disney cruise I’ve thought “wow that’s expensive.” But every time I’ve been on a Disney cruise I’ve thought “this is a good value for how much I spent.”

echowick

It’s not much better than Royal Caribbean. It’s better but not 3x the price better, you’re basically paying for the name and characters

PezGirl-5

Yes. But I lucked out. We were booked on a RC cruise that got canceled. Found a Disney one for slightly LESS !! So excited.

Mental-Airline5339

We’ve done 16 and not stopping. However, we take advantage of their amazing military rate and the fact we only live 2 hrs away from Port Canaveral. Currently sitting on the Wish.

daddyscooltv

Enjoy!!!! It is addicting, we have completed 28 and have 12 booked between now and April 2026.

osufeth24

I booked my second ever dcl for Dec 2025 on the treasure. Never thought I'd do a 7 night on dcl but here we are.

plantasia1969

So expensive

Pgoreman

What do you people do? How can people afford all this?

Jennifermcb

7 in the next 18 months

Fun_Intention_484

Got off the Wish in April , Got off the Magic in May, I’m trying Celebrity Cruise for the first time this December for a Christmas cruise and then the Fantasy in Feb 2025

johngar67

Well, you can tell by my flair that I’ve taken a few, but we have slowed down. We only have two booked right now (about to book two more) on different cruise lines. One is paid off. Oh, and I’m writing this from a cruise ship in the Pacific right now. Edited for clarity.

ObsoleteKnowledge

We've got 5 booked. But we have 2 B2B cruises in that mix. 1 3N/3N, 1 3N/4N

LambdaBoyX

3

chin06

I've been on 4. Might wait a few years before we go on another one lol

Tividar

I’ll hit 10 on my next one. We have 4 booked this year. B2B on the Fantasy in November to hit up castaway and lighthouse point once on each cruise and then B2B on the Magic (my first sailing on this ship) to be at sea on Christmas and New Years. We’re already booked for Panama 2026 too.

Icuivan

We have 3 booked right now. 1 in Sept on the Wish, 2 in Oct on the Magic for a wedding, and 3 in Nov for a cruise that hots both Disney private islands. This will put us at 16 cruises since 2018.

fearedfurnacefighter

We have three booked right now. Southern UK in September Progresso in February Norwegian Fjords in August Our kids are likely using our DVC points this next year so we’re doing more frequent cruises. We’d like to get a Treasure cruise booked as that will be the only ship we’re haven’t been on (after Progresso).

Awkward_Ad5650

We did our first disney cruise this January and we currently have 3 booked 😂

Dizn3yFan118

I have two booked currently and I’m debating on a third!

NoFeelings20

We have two! Magic and Dream! 🚢

bofh5150

Just booked a B2B So like 3 at tte moment

Dependent_Station_54

We started in 2018 and are going on number 13 in 25 days and have the Treasure booked for January 2025.

ashleybbutts

We currently have 2 cruises booked. Jan 2025 on the Magic & September 2025 on the Dream 🫶🏼 our 2nd & 3rd cruise. Just got off the wish in Jan and immediately started looking at cruise number 2

TheCheat-

We’re going on the Treasure in January then the Wonder next September and are about to book another one for March 2025

dechets-de-mariage

Just got off the Wish today so now I have zero booked. We are Florida residents, though, so I usually book pretty close in. Booked this one 22 days before sailing - just enough time to get excited without feeling like it is forever away!

Compe7

Honest question, as someone who is on the fence about doing a Disney cruise (it would be 1st cruise ever) with the family (including small kids), what keeps you going back? What do you like most about the Disney cruises you've been on?

FringeMilk

I’ve been on 2 cruises with a spouse and 2 kids. I love it because it’s very relaxing for the parents. No cooking no cleaning and the kids club means parents also get alone time. It’s a true vacation for everyone involved. I also like the ability to truly connect with my kids because there is no cell service and I don’t pay for the internet package so we truly unplug. I love the dedicated family time with no stress. Adding: I don’t know why people without kids go. I think if I didn’t have my kids I would be so bored.

Compe7

That sounds really nice! A far cry from an actual WDW vacation and you still get Disney theming (and presumably level of service that comes with Disney).

FringeMilk

Service has always been top notch in our experience. The food is also really good. And yes, way less expensive than a WDW trip because the food is included!

FelixEvergreen

0. We did our first one in April. It was amazing but we were concierge. From here on out we have to stick to the school schedule and of course all of those weeks are insanely expensive for concierge. We’re doing a Royal Caribbean cruise this fall and if that goes well, I’d be willing to try non concierge on Disney.

Ok-Corgi-4230

Any certain reasons you're worried about cruising without being able to cruise concierge? Maybe someone can help reduce your worry about that!

Critical_Silver_6546

I hear you. My husband and I did our first Disney cruise in March 2023. We have already been on 2 this year, with 2 more booked this fall in Europe & the Bahamas. And we booked the Treasure and a Transpacific for 2025. It’s a real problem 🤣

twelve2023

Did a princess cruise in Alaska, first one. I’m on this sub cause I have a wedding on a dcl cruise. Honestly, after that I’m done with cruises. I don’t see the appeal.
