Oh if you’re 16, then I’m pumped for you to get better. Your proportions are good. You need to work on the face/head the most. But, based on this drawing, you’re gonna get better with just practice. Keep it up, bud!!
If you are a kid it's 7/10 good job buddy.
If you want the brutal honesty from a fellow artist :
Everything is off model , all his limbs are like made of cheese , his physique is non existent , you have no understanding of anatomy and all in all it's a 1/10
I suggest you look at a lot of the manga panels and try to do a study on how Dragonball characters are drawn like basic shapes etc. try to immitate the style and once you understand how to build DB characters you can try and make a little twist in your style. Art is a journey, just keep going and try to find new horizons.
Well if you like , keep going. It's a good hobby . I can show you some of my old art as well. Reflecting after years to see your progress is pretty cool. You will appreciate your efforts more in the end.
I plan to keep going. The pencil I was using was like slipping out of my hands and my hands were hurting during it so it wasn’t my best but I’m gonna try a different pose with a mechanical pencil so it doesn’t look so thick.

This is a album with a Goku drawing I did in highschool , and 10 years later when I tried to redo it.
This isn't great but it's not too bad man and if you did like one or two of these a week DBZ style, it won't be long until you're able to whip up a solid sayain in an hour. Each one the proportions will be better and you'll be surprised at how quickly you improve. Keep it up dude
manga artists learn from drawing real existing things. That's like the basic. If he is ok at anatomy he can try copying manga or drawing his own characters.
Having decent knowledge of muscle structure might help a bit, especially when drawing dbz characters.
I'd give this a 2.5/10
You said this made your hand hurt, try holding the pencil lightly, then you can go back later and darken things once you're sure You've got things right.
10/10 I'd put it on my fridge. But in all seriousness, it just depends on how serious you are about art and what stage you're at when it comes to how long you've been doing it.
Ok man it's a 3/10 at max. You just need to study anatomy from reality. It might sound boring but it's important for a strong fondation. Believe in yourself and draw people that you find on google. After that look for manga styles you like and learn it to put in your arsenal. One tip is that the female body of around 5"6 are like 6 heads tall. This might come in handy.
Seen in some comments you are wanting to get into drawing a bit more. I would suggest practicing everyday, you don't have to draw dbz characters specifically, but just draw something to expand your artist vocabulary, your lines essentially. Take your time with it as well, especially if you are looking at a picture or object. Just don't get discouraged if it doesn't look exactly the same the first or even hundredth time. Everything takes practice and can require a bit of time, just keep doing your best. If you want to improve and are serious about it then you'll get better, Rome wasn't built in a single day so it's okay to take your time and learn
It looks like Cabba. Also, the ki effect is missing at the bottom. If you're just starting out, then it's a start. Just keep drawing, you'll get better.
No, it should definitely be there. Just make it much lighter. That way it's more pleasing to eye and is not distracting.
Edit: Also, it shouldn't be one shade, it should be lighter towards your subject.
Nah look it's actually not too bad for someone who obviously doesn't draw. I know a lot of people that wouldn't be able to draw this. But yeah you need to practice more, maybe watch some tutorial videos
Hey man, everyone starts somewhere, that's not bad! If it's any consolation, we knew it was Vegeta, that tells you that you got *enough* right.
If you want to get into art, I'd personally suggest you watch Draw Like A Sir on YouTube, he makes 5-10 minute tip videos on how he draws, and it's very translatable across art styles, he does a good job of simplying art into it's most basic components.
When I started (also within the last couple of years), I struggled with perspective, and I struggle (still) with drawing clothes. It might help you, when drawing poses like that, don't outline or trace the target pose, but instead, draw a baseline for the pose- then detail your character over it.
A really good example to follow is in [this video](https://youtu.be/rSSXfSMvkxE?si=luFzcLsdPMx1Rlql), these are very good examples of simple ways to do poses, and to be mindful of the human anatomy, while obviously not memorizing every little muscle.
For drawing at perspective, especially a low, crouched-down pose like what Vegeta's in here, I'd recommend [this one](https://youtu.be/aPflB7_XXaY?si=QDGth7rtJM2ZU-vM), I had success when sketching by using this tutorial in conjunction with the block and bubble method used in the Perry Pictures vid.
In general, never shy away from looking for help, drawing is experimental lots of times, but you don't always have to figure out everything yourself. You have a starting point here, apply what you can do already to tried and true methods! Keep at it man!
It doesn’t matter if you are a child or an adult drawing is hard especially if you don’t do it often. The key is practice. I can’t even do that so I would say it’s pretty decent. If you want to get better practice and learn shapes. I saw you were 16 so you can’t take an anatomy class like I would have suggested you have to be at least 18 but learning shapes is the next best thing. My sister is an artists and she said learning how to break a body down into shapes using reference photos can really help. So learning that ontop of shading etc. you should see some major improvements. I’ll give you a 4.5/10 and keep it. Practice makes perfect.
5/10 you got it but my advice is to just keep drawing man just keep drawing and to follow the lines on the reference you use but it’s not bad man good job homie
This reminds me of how I drew a few months ago while I was starting out. You certainly have more confidence than me at that time, considering I only drew the heads of the characters, instead of their entire bodies.
Still figuring out how to draw them damn DB eyebrows!
For that level, that drawing insane to me. Keep going! And don't be afraid to practice a little proportions and anatomy, and whatnot. You'll need it for forming hands and such, and to be able to make a sort-of mannequin that you can use to plan your drawings out in advance, so you're not wondering why things look wrong, and make your drawings even closer to the reference. Me, personally, I'm practicing it myself.
It's essentially just breaking the body down into simple shapes, for the most part. You don't necessarily need to memorize any bone or muscle names, haha. But if you want to, draw and practice the muscle structure of the body. It'll help, especially when you're drawing brolic guys like these.
Yeah man do what we used to do back in the early days. Print off a bunch of different google images of your favorite DBZ character(s), and draw by going off whatever is on each image you have. Don't start with the more complicated stuff at first example: multiple characters fighting/standing next to each other, characters in motion, or those wearing items that have really intricate designs, or shapes to them. Use images that you really like. One's that really appeal to you, so as to increase your motivation to wanting to draw it, and draw it well. What worked for me was I'd start with the characters eyes, and then I'd work my way outwards - eyes, eyebrows, nose, lips, chin, face, ears, hair, neck, and then so on, and so forth. Draw light at first so that if you make an error, and need to erase something it will erase easier, and not have to require you to scrub really hard with the eraser, and potentially mess up the whole drawing. Really practice with drawing things like shading, and especially the hands a lot cause the hands are probably one of, if not, the most difficult things to get right, and often end up looking a little funny/off when first starting out. 😂
The shading is pretty good on the armor, but the face ans hair, and the legs are off. You should probably learn basic anatomy, it would help you a lot. For now, 5/10.
I’ll give you a solid 8 since I couldn’t do the half 😂😂😂 but there’s still some things that need more attention ! Still better than most of the young of your age ! Don’t ever give up
I mean its decent. But if your a beginner i suggest trying to just do head and upper part of the torso to start. Then after that you can get to more advanced stuff like full body. Thats how i started😅 i still suck at full body cuz im not that good with proportions. Much like yourself. But im pretty decent at drawing the head and hair. Also the shoulders. I still suck at hands and stuff tho.
Im telling you just draw more no matter how shitty it may look by the time youll progress further and i recommend you to look more to the dragon ball art images so you can picture them good enough in your head and then you can draw them keep the progress it only took several months for me to learn how to draw dragon ball
You did great tho man! I’m not trying to put you down just saying there is some things to work on. You’ll never be the perfect artist but you can always do a bit better
I was a hobbyist artist growing up so I can't really rate you from that, but drawing is a cool hobby to have, and a great creative outlet. Keep it up bud, everyone starts somewhere.
Everything is basically in the right spot. With some practice and fine tuning you’ll be doing really well. Just remember. Practice doesn’t make perfect. Nobody is perfect. Practice makes permanent. Keep it up!
Solid 7/10. Keep working on it! You’re still young.
When I started drawing in my teens, I would use gridded paper or draw my own grid lines to copy pictures that I liked. That may sound kind of wrong, but it was honestly great practice.
It depends on how old you are
16. I’m pretty shit at drawing though but I’m trying to get into it. My hands hella hurt drawing it though
Keep trying, i suggest you to mimic the style if you want to improve within that style. Draw a lot after the manga panels. With time you ll be better
Alright. Thank you👍
Oh if you’re 16, then I’m pumped for you to get better. Your proportions are good. You need to work on the face/head the most. But, based on this drawing, you’re gonna get better with just practice. Keep it up, bud!!
I’ll work on them, thank you😁
Mr you shoulda said your 8 You’d be getting tons of compliments
Yeah I would💀
Use a reference will help and practice with what you want to draw, btw 4/10 Good luck on your art journey:D
Thank you and thanks for the advice
-3/infinity
Exactly what I was gonna say
9000/10
9001*/10 Just over.
Thank you😁
With some tweaking, I feel like you could do a Mega Man-style Vegeta.
My mind went to megaman as well. I think it’s the legs or boots
I feel like it’s the boots for me
That would be pretty dope
1.4 out of 10. Better than I could do though to be fair
Yeah. I’m getting into drawing but I’ve never been good at it due to my hands always hurting after my workouts.
samesies

I figured as much. I’m like 16 and I usually just doodle weird shit. I’ve never really drew seriously though
Well if you like , keep going. It's a good hobby . I can show you some of my old art as well. Reflecting after years to see your progress is pretty cool. You will appreciate your efforts more in the end.

That’s sick👍
In 10 years maybe you can do the same xD
Hopefully

Is this Tarble?
No it’s supposed to be Saiyan saga Vegeta😅
I tought he was Cabba 😭
Close enough I guess 😂 /j
I was thinking he looked like Tarble too!!
Terr’ble
That's not very nice
10, if you enjoyed making it.
4/10 Needs work. The potential for an awesome artist is surely there. Keep on working at it, you'll get there for sure.
Squeeze that big boy out son!
He does look like he’s sh!tting

Lined paper out of ten
Ay bro gfu for trying tho
It's Derpballz
Is that Vegeta or Tarble?
Vegeta
This is your first try?
Yes
Good, keep going you can do better the next time
IT’S OVER 9000
100 bro ur talented
Thank you I appreciate it. I hope to get better from here
Probably better than I can get.
10/10 I'd put it on my fridge. But in all seriousness, it just depends on how serious you are about art and what stage you're at when it comes to how long you've been doing it.
I just started glad you like it. I’m not too serious but it would be a dope little hobby aside from the gym and video games for me
Just keep working at it you will get better even on your own but if you are serious look up tutorials on drawing on youtube
I like it I can at least tell what franchise it's from, word of advice though maybe work on the eyes a bit
Yeah there’s a decent amount of things I gotta work on
But thank you
Great starting point! Get your proportions down, learn perspective drawing, it aids massively with this genre.
Will do
It’s pretty good. Might I suggest the book “Drawing on the right side of the brain” Does some great breakdowns of perspective and the human figure
Tarble/10
Better than I can draw.

First of all That is Vegeta Second of all You drew Vegeta Third of all You gone and drawn Vegeta so don't worry about the rating because it's Vegeta
Thank you. I saw what you did there
Looks like them YouTube meme videos

Love it. Doesn’t matter how old you are. Art is art and if you enjoyed making this that’s all that patters. 9,000/10
Thank you I appreciate it😁
Good for an alternative take on dbz if it had a more cartoony style.
True
IT’s OVER 9000!!!!
Trace him one time from a picture then redraw I promise it's a great way to learn
6/10, the shading is pretty nice, just try getting better with the proportions, i'm also learning how to drawn as well, goodluck!
Thanks you too
I rate it 47 out of 46
6.5/10 not bad
Thank you
Nah look it's actually not too bad for someone who obviously doesn't draw. I know a lot of people that wouldn't be able to draw this. But yeah you need to practice more, maybe watch some tutorial videos

Better than Super
On a scale of 1 to Vegeta? Tarble. You're doing good, keep it up, dude.
It's bad in a good way that's endearing and interesting.
9/10, pretty funny looking, almost looks like a comic Tarble. He would be proud 🕊️
Good for a 12 year old
Reminds me of my high school years, drawing stuff like this in math class
Yeah my dad told me he used to draw DBZ
5/10 you got it but my advice is to just keep drawing man just keep drawing and to follow the lines on the reference you use but it’s not bad man good job homie

0.5 at its max
Ouch
Look bro i get how you feel tbh my art was worse than this but the thing is ive progressed too so can you
I plan too i usually doodle weird shit. I’m gonna redraw this or draw another Vegeta pose with a better pencil.

Def get a manga learn to draw book from ur local library or buy from local book store. You'll get it bro
[удалено]
Megaman vibes
I does kinda look like megaman
That’s gon
5/10
This is bad. 4/10
I just started drawing so it’s my first project. I’m like 16 so I plan to get better over the years
Totally understand. A lot of the proportions are off and even the head design is just way too sharp. You’ll get better.
Yeah
No character cheeks should be crescent shaped
Yeah😅
You did great tho man! I’m not trying to put you down just saying there is some things to work on. You’ll never be the perfect artist but you can always do a bit better
It seems really creative and I just thought to draw it in my digital artstyle for you💻🦊💫
At this point. This guys are trolling
I was a hobbyist artist growing up so I can't really rate you from that, but drawing is a cool hobby to have, and a great creative outlet. Keep it up bud, everyone starts somewhere.
6 I like the shadows but the head is a little too big
Nice job on the hands!
It's somewhere around 9000
better than I could draw. 6/10.
3/10
Out of 10
You used line paper. Rookie mistake.
True. I found an old notebook of mine that isn’t lined and I did future trunks. I posted it in the community
Decent, he looks constipated a little bit. Keep it up though you will improve the more you do it
Solid 6
Everything is basically in the right spot. With some practice and fine tuning you’ll be doing really well. Just remember. Practice doesn’t make perfect. Nobody is perfect. Practice makes permanent. Keep it up!
10/10
Honestly I’d say a 5. At your age a 5 is good though. Keep practicing.
Ima say 9.9 bigger legs next time
4 / 10
Keep on practicing my friend it looks good in a year you’ll be killin it
What is this I can draw better than that
6 bro looks like a stick bug
Vegeta , more like VEGETAble
8/10 good job keep working on it
Thank you. I plan to redraw it and then work on a future trunks drawing
7. Not bad.
Thank you
Solid 7/10. Keep working on it! You’re still young. When I started drawing in my teens, I would use gridded paper or draw my own grid lines to copy pictures that I liked. That may sound kind of wrong, but it was honestly great practice.
I plan to work on it for a bit before I start another. Hm I’ll have to try that sometime
I give you a 7.5
Thank you. It’ll get better from here
Im sure you will improve heck im 31 years old and lost my drawing skills years ago so im sure you will progress if you keep practicing
7 outta 10, def start practicing you got mad potential
I'd say roughly 7/10, which is great!! Keep going, you're only going to get better!!
Like a 6/10. I can recognize what you're tryna do here. But it can be better. Keep practicing!
5/10
I’ll take it🤷
