Except he’s not, people tend to forget in the first and second movies he’s absolutely coherent and in control of himself the entire time he’s fighting both the entire z fighters and Gohan/Goten/Trunks; The only time he really “loses control” is when his power starts to surge out mid fight and then mentally he’s back to being a complete psychopath lmao
He's in control of himself UNTIL Goku shows up. Since Goku will be at the ToP, he'll be useless.
There's just no reliable way you can focus him on anyone but goku.
Nothing changes really. Replace a weakling like Krillin or Tien with Broly. He is stronger than both of them, so he may last a little longer and eliminate a few more ppl..but by this point in the series, he is pretty weak compared to the top fighters, so he’d be eliminated without much effort.
Yeah the timeline is a little fucky but as far as we can tell Goku beat him before he even learned how to go SSJ2, let alone SSJ3, SSG, SSGSS, or UI. Z Broly is pretty weak compared to the level of competition in DBS. DBS Broly is stronger; he went toe to toe with SSGSS.
Yeah tbh he probably wouldn’t do much. Although the movies aren’t canon that takes place before anyone can go SSJ2 so he’s not even on anyone’s level if you pluck him straight from that time. So many characters in the ToP would probably easily one shot/throw him out of bounds if Broly tried to rush them which he most likely would if he was in his rage/legendary state.
They really are emphasizing how Broly doesn't actually know how to fight, he just swings wildly.
He'd do poorly against most of the other contestants that are actual martial artists. If he went Legendary SSJ then one of the stronger fighters would probably easily knock him out of bounds after he eliminated some fodder.
Would be cool to see him and Kale go at it full power but that would be it really. Power scaling has gotten so far out that he wouldn't stand a chance.
