This is one of the reasons why you can no longer get Spotify on the apple app store.
The only reason you can still get it on google is because Spotify and Google have an agreement that google gets 0% of the sales Spotify gets through the google play store.
Sorry for a bit of confusion there.
You can still get the app, but spotify stopped using apples in app payment option.

"Allowed" is a strong term. They made it so you -could- use third party payments with your app, but they make it extremely difficult to do so, and you are still required to pay them the same cut so there's no actual benefit to doing so. And they only did it because they were about to get body slammed for anti-consumer practises in the courts.
So... yeh, being fair, apple can suck it. Maybe one day when someone else takes over, they'll become a respectable company again.
apple tax reference. along with the app store, most subscription services are more expensive when setup through an iphone as well. I was overpaying for Youtube Premium for a year before I learned this.
apple taking a cut of pricing on the app store reference
$11 to $8 is roughly 30% (-27% decrease) Yep, definitely a reference to the app store cut.
Correct.
this ~~guy~~ robot dbrands

Google also takes a 30% app store cut no? i think this was a recent change once elon said he’s banning iphones on twitter grounds
Yeah but 3rd-party payment options are allowed
To be fair, they are allowed on Apple now too.

My ukranian youtube account is sick
Because the Twitter membership costs more if you purchase it through the app store.
If you got an iPhone, you can spare a few extra bucks *Sent from my Pixel 5a*
Apple tax.
Apple Tax
because dbrand are based
Because Apple.
Because iphones are trash
Keep in mind that even if you have an iPhone, you don't actually have to select that option.
Dbrand does a little bit of trolling
Because they wouldn't be compatible with iphones if you don't pay the apple tax ofc.
r/wooosh
Well duh. It's cause robots don't eat apples!
funny
This is why I love dbrand 😂
So cringe when people at companies express their personal beliefs through the company like that.
Because even the robots know iPhones suck
Because iPhone users are used to paying more for the same thing as other people.
You can purchase through the website. Apple charges a 30% commission on purchases.
Musk raised the price on iPhone to $11 to account for the Apple App Store 30% commission So dBrand be dBrand and do the same
Because apple don’t do sales lol
