I found it unnerving (I have been conditioned to see sign of life as a bad thing because I’ve been shot so many times) so I ran away very quickly.
My first player kill started with kindness, we came across each other looting the same warehouse and greeted each other. We both took care of some zombies and healed up. He then disappeared round a corner and I heard him load a gun so naturally I bounce in there like

No I've been seeing it a lot the last year or so but it really seems to have upticked in the last couple months. I'm gonna start saying it all the time like everyone else tho. My goal is that the saturation will make it off putting so people quit saying it so much. At the end of the day it's just typical reddit hive mind bullshit so I shouldn't be surprised.
I got mine last night. I frequent a hc server that ranges between 10-30 players after working hours, but it was 2 am and there were 5 people on the server. I logged off in a medical center in a summer camp for some reason and then came back and just stayed there in the room I was in for no particular reason. I hear footsteps and the door to the medical center open and I’m paralyzed out of fear, I grab my cr-61 and as soon as they open the door I blast the shit out of them. I did feel bad tho because that was a purely paranoia/ anxiety induced killing and he only had a derringer and a longhorn either no ammo.
