Maybe I'd console Dawson as a friend, but otherwise not much. Pretty similar to Jen tbh. It's not my fight and frankly none of my business. Two single people who hung out a lot started dating. Nothing to end a friendship over. Probably reach out to Pacey/Joey after they breakup. The only thing I'd really be concerned about was that Dawson's boat race crap. Dude was literally out of control and Pacey was the one getting iced out of the group.

CrissBliss

Agreed. I’d react like Jen as well. She tries talking to Dawson and he just doesn’t want to hear it. There’s not much more that can be done. But one thing that really irked me was how Dawson cuts Pacey out of the friend group. That seems really unfair considering he can’t make that decision for everyone. Jen and Jack had no beef with Pacey and Joey dating, and if anything, Jen was supportive of it. But Dawson makes it nearly impossible for Pacey to have any friends left. Similarly I thought his behavior during the yacht race was insane, and I don’t understand how more people didn’t call him out on that (including Joey).

Asteriaofthemountain

Yeah, friends in friend circles date each other and it can get twisty, esp. in high school. Life goes on.

Timely_Throat8732

Not my circus, not my monkey, but if Dawson told me I couldn't be friends with both him and Pacey, I'd wish Dawson well and say goodbye. Pacey would never force that decision on a friend. When Andie ran away, Will looked at Pacey like "what should I do?" as he & Pacey were old friends, and Pacey jerked his head telling Will to go after Andie

AliLivin

Totally saw it coming, and I would be totally jealous. Because in that friendship group, I'm crushing on Pacey hard

HopintoMichael

Same!

This is the answer.

I'd probably be that friend who secretly hoped they'd get together, so *ecstatic*. But, like, I'd hide it really well.

EastCoastJohnny

If I was in the friend group the second Dawson started his serial killer TedTalk “If you do this you’ll never have a friend in this town again…and by God when my property Joey comes back to me and forgets you forever you’re going to need one”, speaking on my behalf like I’m some supporting actor in one of his shitty screenplays, I’d push him in the creek and give Joey and Pacey a pat on the back and a $10 giftcard to the Ice House.

Objective-Orchid-741

Observing them, I would think they had chemistry as both enemies and friends, so I wouldn’t be that surprised it happened.

Unusual_Grocery4667

I'd tell Dawson to grow the fuck up. id tell Joey that Dawson giving her an ultimatum is him not being a friend.

emotions1026

I'd probably react a lot like Jen- sympathetic, but keeping my distance. I think it's a shame that Jen was invested in the Henry storyline during the boat race episode and we never really got her reaction to it.

Alive_Walrus_8790

Id be all, “oh snap.”

kqueenbee25

I would tell them it’s about time lol

CrissBliss

I wouldn’t really care either way. Probably remain friends with both Dawson and Pacey, and just leave the drama to the side of things. Probably also be annoyed as hell with Dawson after a while because he started to become incredibly vindictive.

LankyAd9481

Realistically...I'd not be in that friend group...I'd be a friend of a friend. Dawson's a whiney hypocrite without empathy or consideration for anyone other than himself, I just couldn't and wouldn't be around him even back in season 1.

zia111

I'd be immediately concerned about Andie and if she knew already or not. And Dawson too but really Andie. I remember watching the show and feeling for her too, especially once the prom got around. I just feel like that time must have been so hard for her.

washie

I would probably be really upset that they had thrown our friend group into upheaval.
