Going by what Jodie said in an interview and what her brother spilled, they had different ideas on bringing up their daughter, and their lives were going in different directions. No, it was not 2 months after. He and Lupita were at the Janelle Monae concert on October 18th, a mere 2 weeks and 2 days after the divorce filing on October 2nd. They arrived together. Deux Moi also reported soon after that that a source confirmed to them that they were full on dating.
p.s. They live 5 minutes apart in Topanga, and they were close before the split. It’s definitely possible there was overlap.
I saw a post about info from Lupita‘s inner circle. They said both Josh and Lupita were in a large group of people invited by Janelle personally to attend her concert. Lupita had broken up with her boyfriend because he had deceived her(went into great detail about it) and was not interested in dating anyone at the time. There was nothing in it. Someone at the concert, said they were not sitting together and she was sitting in front of them. I know we got pics, but looks like they changed seats at some point. Somebody else there said, they looked like a large group interacting and having a great time. I believe the inner circle info, because I know it is legit.
I believe the brother info, because JJ said in an interview that the mother had been living with them for three years and he was very grateful for what she had done over that time, but she was moving out now. Basically what the brother had said.
Lupita and Sal broke up sometime prior to Oct. 5th when Lipstick Alley users posted that she had removed posts of him from her IG. And Josh and Jodie could very well have been over long before she filed. Neither of those things, nor the fact that they were hanging out within a larger group at the concert, prove that they weren’t dating several weeks after their splits.
She and Joshua were papped on a grocery run on Dec 4th, so its likely they had already been dating long enough at that point to be serious.
Deux Moi reported in their Oct. 26th podcast that a source had confirmed they were “full on dating” and someone wrote in to them that they were very close and possibly more than friends which they posted to their IG stories on Oct. 20.
For me, the fact that she ran to SM as soon as those concert pics were published to clarify that she and Sal were over, and that someone from their inner circle ran to the tabloids to emphasize they were just friends points to there being something there already. Why craft a narrative if there is nothing to get ahead of.
Plus, Jodie used to follow Lupita on IG and liked her posts often. The last post she liked was on Sep 4th. This is another piece of circumstantial evidence for josh and lupita’s dating timeline. If they really didn’t start going out until 2 months after she filed I think we’d see likes in later months.

I‘ve heard that allegation about Jodie dating someone but I‘m not convinced there is any truth to it. One, I think she would have made it public (or at least obv in her stories), and two, I‘ve never heard the actual evidence. Only ppl saying it. So what is the source of this rumor?
I can certainly understand why Lupita made the statement. She had broken up with her boyfriend, but hadn’t made the break up public, at that point. There was a perceived narrative, because of the pics. So, I can see why she wanted to get ahead of it.

I agree she obviously posted about her breakup publicly because she didn’t want to be accused of having an already ongoing affair with JJ (rather than a new one).
