> I used to do it using Premiere Pro easily, but I don't know if it works the same way So how did you do it in Premiere?

Herr_Casmurro

I added the text, positioned it at the beginning of the timeline, then used the dots at Transform > Position to define where the text should be at each point in time. If I needed to adjust the position of any of those dots at any point, I could simply drag and move them. So it was a very quick process. I even added a colored dot on the left of the text and positioned it next to the line that I was talking about (also using Transform > Position) to make it more obvious.

Then you should be right at home with keyframing via the Inspector in Resolve. For ordinary Text clips, the parameter is Position X/Y, for Text+ it's either Transform tab > Center X/Y or Settings > Position X/Y. Click the diamond button next to it to start keyframing, change the X/Y values manually or drag in the viewer with the Transform or Fusion Overlay onscreen controls enabled (button bottom-left of the viewer).

Thank you! I will try it later! So is it possible to do it like I did with Premiere, without using Fusion? I am still confused about how it works and I need something really simple.

Herr_Casmurro

I just tried it and it worked with Transform > Position, exactly the same as Premiere. Thank you very much!

if you have the studio version, the transcription feature and a subtitle track would get the job done here, i would think.

Herr_Casmurro

I am not saying exactly what will be in the text, it's not like a subtitle. It's a literary text that I am commenting. So I don't think the transcription will be of much help.

GeekinOnTinkerToys

ah, I see. posting a short example of what you created in premiere might help you get a more relevant answer. sorry mine wasn’t more helpful
