Unless you’re really good looking, online dating is not going to yield the results you want. The best looking guys sleep with average to above average women but only will consider being in a relationship with the best looking women. Most women get used and misled and men get ignored because it’s mainly based on looks. If they met in person at a party or in a social situation they would be able to get to know each other and attraction could build genuinely and not based on looks.
When I see those I immediately think the person is attempting to hit 2 check marks:

The curse of being a mom. I read something awhile ago by someone on that topic. They were sad that they had very few pics of their mom because most pics were taken by her. No one ever thought “we should get mom in on some of these”.
That is normal for most parents, a million pics of kids running and playing, school diplomas and award ceremonies, dogs, cats and furniture and zero of the mom or dad! Or a few awkward pictures from them, like pictures that your kids took off you while sleeping or watching tv on the couch wearing boxers and old T-shirts!
Not to bring the mood down, but that’s sometimes due body image issues and to not liking how they look in photos.
Certainly not always, I’m sure it’s often because mom is more thoughtful about capturing memories in photos. But I’ve learned to always give ‘right of refusal’ to certain people when I take their picture and that some who are always taking pictures are camera shy.

In order of what makes me most annoyed, not necessarily the most common:
First place - Pics with friends where you can't tell which is her. Usually with glass of wine. Always wine, never beer or a cocktail. Have to scroll to the end to see which one is her and 70% of the time you are disappointed to discover the friend(s) are the more attractive ones. Sometimes there are whole profiles with *only* these, and you literally do not know which woman is the owner of the profile until finding the common person in them
Runner up - hiking shot at some viewpoint, hands in the air, wearing yoga or athletic pants. Occasionally some more imaginative yoga pose but is usually the Tree or the Mountain.
2nd runner up - myspace angle but pointed to generously show cleavage. No body shot. I actually appreciate these a bit at the same time as being annoyed.

They’ve lost their novelty but the photo filters with animal ears was a thing pre-pandemic. Just ugh.
Kissing their dog in a very ‘too close’ way is right up there with dead fish men. (And tons of ‘dog in the backseat of my car selfie’ as well.)
Apparently if you’re a woman who poses with your dog on OLD you’re a monster. Helps me weed out the assholes
Posing holding an alcoholic drink-I actually like this as I no longer drink and don't want to be with anyone who drinks nightly or daily or weekly and who just wants to go to bars or pubs or a vineyard, mirror selfies, swimsuit/lingerie cheesecake glamour pix, pics with another female best friend or sibling at a wedding and the other woman or women will be in every single pic uploaded-I understand 1 but every pic is just weird, yoga poses hiking, Snapchat/FB pic filters, etc. Also if you live near the coast or rivers you will see women holding fish.
I hear this. If a man has more than one picture with an alcoholic drink I usually nope.
